Don't Do It!
Nick Scali Furniture Online StoreCustomer service does not exist with this company: an online purchase did not suit the space for which it was intended and it was only afterwards I discovered they have a 'no refunds' policy - surreptitiously hidden in the very bottom line of their website to look like part of 'Terms of Use' for the site build and VERY heavy on the legalities. No response to two emails, a telephone message and a negative trust pilot review. Forget Nick Scali - should be pronounced Nick Scaly (as in snake). Disgraceful!

Terrible Customer Service and Delivery ONE MONTH LATE!
Delivery ServiceFour months ago, on 19 August 2023, I bought two couches at Nick Scali Helensvale. The salesperson ([Name Removed]) said the expected delivery date would be on 22/11/2023 (as registered on sales systems).
On November 10th, I called the store to confirm if everything was okay to receive them on the expected date, and here started what I called disrespect with the client and lack of commitment with the customer.

... Read more There have been three separate issues affecting shipments into Australia for all companies: 1. Port workers for DP World, Australia’s largest port operators, have been on strike since the 6th of November with the initial plan to conclude by the end of November. However, the strike has been extended, until at least the 11th of December. Up to 80% of our containers remain stranded at the port due to this ongoing union strike. Google DP world strikes and you can find news articles about this on the internet. 2. Cybersecurity attacks on DP World occurred on the 11th of November shutting down the ports for multiple days. See the news update here. This had a compounding effect on all in-warehouse dates. 3. We are experiencing global shipping issues that have arisen in the past few weeks particularly with the shipping liner Maersk. Many original shipment dates have been unexpectedly delayed due to the reduction in the number of container vessels to Australia during peak season (October – December). Nick Scali is one of many retailers experiencing this issue. Lounge suite only lasted 2.5 years
Nick Scali FurnitureI purchased a leather lounge suite 2.5 years ago along with accidental damage cover. I never anticipated needing it, I just wanted to be safe given the expense of the couch.
The leather is damaged after only 2.5 years and there are so many loop holes in the accidental damage warranty that there is no cover (animal damage not covered, peeling not covered, incidents must be reported within 5 days, only 1 issue can be claimed in the lifetime of the warranty).
My last couch still had perfect leather after 15 years, I just wanted an upgrade. Unfortunately the quality of the leather is not there.

I have had a service man come out today and he bent the frame on the leg recliner sections back to straighten I don't know if it will happen again!! Not really happy that it's happened in the first place as only 5 months old!!!
I have a 2 year old electric sofa and one side is not reclining and has an orange light when button is pushed. I’ve attempted to cont Nic Scali at Jimdalee for assistance only to be told it’s out of warranty, pretty pathetic that expensive couch is not working after 2 years and zero support from Nic Scali, didn’t even let us know who to contact to get it fixed.

I have rung twice and been told it is out of warranty so we would have to contact a third party. Very poor customer service
yep all they care about is the customer warranty. Keep going with them. I will never buy from them again!! Contact ACCC
Mandy, the saddest thing is if they had an ounce of customer service, the person on the phone could have said, try turning couch off for 5 minutes and this should reset it. Nope I found a helpful person from Harvey Norman that made this suggestion and it worked. I will be certainly be making it known that Nick Scali are the worst furniture company, and considering I buy numerous amounts of furniture for many clients homes I shall be going else where.

Both batteries only $9,000 recliner packed up after 2 1/2 years. Batteries worth $400 each
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!
Yes we also feel your pain!!! Two seater rechargeable batteries (Hunter lounge) first battery packed it in at 13 months, the second one at 27 months. Have tried phoning numerous times, plus went into store at Waurn Ponds only to be told they couldn’t help. Have now called yet again and they want us to pay up front @$690 for two batteries!!!! If we have this couch for 10 years this couch will cost us another $3500 at least if batteries die at this rate. We were told by original salesman the batteries should last 5 years and certainly weren’t told how much they cost!!! We’ve done all the resets etc and nothing works. The batteries are dead!! So much for paying good money for good quality…..we’ve paid good money for poor quality. No wonder they’re always on sale!! Now we have to try to buy through Couch Guard who you can’t ring, only email. They have none in stock according to their website and didn’t have any last time. We don’t even know how to take the battery out and they can’t show us in the showroom as they don’t have any in stock!!!
Nick Scali…..we will never buy from again. I wish I’d seen reviews like this when we bought the two couches (one electric and one battery operated) Also after sitting on the couches over a period of 2.5 years the seat cushioning has sagged terribly and no we are not big people. I wouldn’t recommend. They look nice….but….. Regards Kaylene
We have moved house and the movers unplugged our recliner and now I can’t find where it plug the power cable back in. Where does the cord connect to the recliner?
