Their boss promised to organise a redelivery with more people and call me back — he never did, and my follow-up calls were ignored. It is now 10 days later and I have received almost no communication, no redelivery date, and no resolution. The company has completely ignored my repeated questions about the two bedside tables, which were suddenly changed from “in stock” to pre order until September despite multiple prior confirmations. As a result, I have no furniture from this order. Their responses have been vague, unhelpful, and evasive and follow up is non existent. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. For a company that markets itself as premium furniture, this level of poor service, lack of communication, and failure to honour commitments is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend Koala Living to anyone.
Outstanding customer service from Mahnie. She was helpful, patient, and professional throughout the whole process. delievery my item. My second delievery attempt they did not even press the call button to actually buzz my unit instead they took a photo of my unit number without procedding to call. Resulting in a failed delievery attempt. There where other avenues to contact me like simply knocking on the door. Now i am being charged a re delievery fee with replys to emails being delyaed due to head office being on leave. They lack accepting information, with generated resposes. They have left me with mixed emotions about the store. Items maybe of some quality but recieving them is on another level. I am left with pure dissapointment and anger toward koala living and would not reccomend purchases that are not in stock.

box which had the couch through the front door, they were hitting the corridor. So I suggested they open the box and bring it in that way and they said if they opened the box and it didnt fit then I would be left with the couch sitting in the corridor and it would be my problem. So I suggested since we were in the ground floor swing it through the balcony and they refused citing if they damageed my balcony their insurance may not pay and so left with a dillema we decided its best they return to Koala Living and I ask for a refund. To my surprise they said I had to pay for the cost of the removalist bringing it back to them and because they cited I changed my mind I will lose 30 percent of my payment. To make me pay for the removalist was bad enough and to make me lose $1300 not because I changed my mind but other circumstances that was not foreseen is to me unfair so I rang them and you only ever get to talk to someone in the Philippines and a lady called [Name Removed] with no surname and no position revealed, they promised someone will call me but that call never came and [Name Removed] tried to put the onus back on me - why I didnt measure the doorway hello this is the first time I bought furniture myself how am I supposed to know I have to measure the door way and it wasnt the doorway but the size of the corridor, and said the removalist was not to blame. The whole ordeal was traumatic had it been another company, they would have refunded me by now and they said they cant change their policy hello I am a single mum and i just lost my job and $1300 may not be much to a chainstore who makes millions but I have a child to feed and couldve used the money to pay my mortgage and strata fees, its not $130 we are talking here, and every company should have compassion and hear their clients out - i didnt change my mind, it was out of my control. I just felt I have been ripped off and cant help thinking what if I were not mentally sound like had dementia or had downsyndrome then I would have stupidly accepted their logic. Koala Living lost nothing, they got back their couch unopened - when I gave my money it was so easy and when a customer ask it back they made it feel it was my fault, the operator said they will ring me but no one did and their accounts department tried to brush it off by deducting the 30 percent and said nothing about the emeil - must be 4 emails and 7 calls to try to speak to a higher authority. This is not the act of an ethical company. No matter what law you have you need to judge each persons circumstance on its own. I feel very sad I saved up for months to buy a new couch to replace the 20 year old couch that my parents left me which was faded and tattered finallty thought I found my dream couch and this happens. I need to tell my story so that other single mums dont get sucked in by a unethical companuy and end up losing money, when my intention was pure. Had it been another reputable furniture store they would have refunded it all. But no, I am psychologically traumatised to find that at 60 not only i cant have my dream couch but lost $1300 on the way. OUCH! [Name Removed] tried to put the blame on me by saying that I should have taken photos and that I should have measured the door way, hello their salesperson said nothing of that to me and was eager to sell it to me and Im just a layman, Ihave never bought furniture for myself before this is my first experience and it was disappointing and saddening to feel like i have been conned. Im the one who is holding the real loss whilst Koala Living has got back their goods and no real loss. Therefore if I could give this company a zero I would.
Follow-up · Terrible company they just ignored me and deducted 30 percent ie kept 1200 aud when I wanted the full refund. Stay away. They got back everything intact it was unopened I told them I was a single mum and needed this money but no they still took my money -unethical. the delivery man couldnt bring it inside my apartment I should have a whole refund.
Why you is this post still pending I am reporting them to consumer affairs so the whole world should know how unethical this company is

contact the delivery people. Sent a chat message to delivery people, reply said they would ‘escalate’ it to the delivery people, so obviously they are not the delivery people. It’s a large expensive piece I have to be here and this is ridiculous. Never had such a bad experience with furniture delivery.
Update: although I got an email saying it would be delivered 1-3 business days from 30 June, and it is now 3 July, and although I received emails yesterday and today saying it would be delivered that day, I am told it will be delivered either Saturday or Sunday. No further info. Really, really not good enough. Do not believe the delivery info on the Koala Living website or the emails.
