Anolon X is NOT non-stick – Terrible product. Definitely not non-stick. Anolon Customer Service didn't want to know about it. Instead, gave me instructions on how to fry an egg. Felt very patronising. Was hoping for a refund or to swap them, but have since been ignored.
Not worth the money – I was super excited to receive my new set of Anolon Accolade pots and pans after doing extensive research. Within a two days of using my new pots, I used a metal whisk, which left scratch marks on the inside of the pan, and small sections where the nonstick coating had peeled away. A whisk!! A potato masher, used just like normal and had left no scratch marks on my previous kmart set, left scratches all over the inside of my new Anolon pot.
Their website states "Three layer nonstick interior and exterior is metal utensil safe and PFOA free". Be very careful when reading the wording here - the EXTERIOR is metal utensil safe. Not the inside. From one consumer to another - if you're considering buying anything Anolon, don't waste your money or your time. Their products look and feel like they should be good quality, but they also take a long time to heat. I make my own yoghurt, heating 3L milk at a time. In my old kmart stockpot, this would take 25-30mins. In the Anolon stockpot, it takes 45-50mins. Anolon customer service were extremely unhelpful, did not acknowledge that the damage was not done with any sharp objects and offered no replacement at all for the scratched up pans. Thumbs down, Anolon! Kmart's products have proved to be of higher quality than yours, at a much lower cost.
"We have completed our assessment of your Anolon Accolade 26cm/7.1L Cvd Stockpot & 18cm/2.4L Cvd Saucepan from 10 Pce Set (811117) claim and unfortunately on this occasion we are unable to support your claim. Our warranty covers you for manufacturing, material and workmanship defects only and the damage to your cookware appears to be use and care related. From the images provided, we must re-iterate the Use & Care Instructions as there were signs of scratching. On our metal utensil safe products, we guarantee small scratches will not affect the performance of the non-stick. We do however, still recommend the use of wooden or heat resistance nylon utensils. As per the Use and Care information accompanying the product: Utensils: This nonstick is safe for use with all utensils, including metal. However, sharp-edged tools such as forks and knives should not be used and knives should never be used to cut inside the pan. Scratches and peeling due to sharp-edged utensils is not covered under warranty."
Mediocre quality. Last as long as u don’t use it – Well I bought one at Victoria’s basement Alexandria. Less than a year and started leaking. I went for warranty, they dispute the claim apparently for misused. When clearly I did nothing but use the pan as normal. I been cooking for over 20 years, sometimes in professional kitchens. I’m sorry to say but it looks great but quality is poor built. I have Raco pans they still working after 5 years and I use them every day.
