damaged and faulty.

I contacted Freedom Furniture and what should have been a straightforward resolution turned into a long and frustrating back-and-forth with customer service. I was repeatedly asked to provide photographs of the damage, packaging and other evidence. I spent a significant amount of time taking photographs, documenting the problem, corresponding with customer service and dealing with the return process.

Freedom Furniture eventually offered me several options: a $90 electronic voucher, a $60 partial refund, a replacement, or a replacement bed head. I had already purchased another bed, so a replacement was no longer suitable. I therefore requested a full refund to my original payment method.

The response I received was extremely disappointing. Freedom Furniture stated that they were unable to approve a full refund because they had assessed the damage as "minor". Despite all the evidence and photographs I had provided, they continued to offer only the partial refund, voucher or replacement options.

What frustrates me most is that I paid for a new product and received one that was damaged, yet I have had to spend so much time proving the problem and negotiating with customer service to try to obtain a reasonable resolution.

I am now taking the matter further through the appropriate consumer protection channels because I do not believe the issue has been fairly resolved.

I am writing this review to warn other customers about my experience. The problem wasn't simply receiving a damaged product; things can go wrong with any retailer. What matters is how a company handles the problem afterwards. In my experience, Freedom Furniture's after-sales process was unnecessarily difficult, time-consuming and frustrating.

I hope Freedom Furniture improves its quality control and, more importantly, the way it handles customers who receive faulty products.

Now the matter is going to VCAT to find a resolution.

issues. I purchased the Preservac LiquidVac Food Vacuum Sealer 250W. It is well built and functions well. However, if you are considering buying one, I would recommend avoiding the “silver” finish if you don’t like fingerprint marks.

One thing buyers should be aware of is that the machine uses more plastic than a conventional vacuum sealer. The extra-long gap is necessary to protect the machine when vacuum sealing liquids, and I think this is a reasonable trade-off. In fact, it is a clever way of allowing a conventional vacuum sealer to handle liquids without requiring a more expensive chamber vacuum sealer.

However, the extra length is also required when sealing dry foods, where it isn't necessary, so this means going through rolls faster and buying them more often. The handle is another issue: when closed, it sits quite low and takes up additional space, requiring even more of the bag to be used. This is, in my view, a genuine design issue.

So, if you are considering buying this machine, it is worth thinking about how much liquid versus dry food you are likely to vacuum seal. If you regularly seal liquids, the extra bag length may be a worthwhile trade-off for having this capability in a conventional machine. If you mostly seal dry foods, the additional plastic consumption is something to take into account.

Overall, I am very happy with the machine. It is well built, works well, and handles liquids particularly well. The design of the handle is my main criticism, while the extra bag length is more of a trade-off than a fault.

Ordering was simple and straightforward, and delivery was impressively quick, especially considering the item was listed as being on backorder. That level of efficiency really stood out and set the tone for the whole experience.

Where things fell apart slightly was with the plumber they arranged for installation. Plumbing Bros Sunshine Coast initially came across brilliantly, with Andrew going out of his way to shuffle his schedule and fit us in before the Easter period, which we genuinely appreciated.

Unfortunately, that goodwill didn’t last long. Upon arrival, he took issue with there being no pre-drilled hole in the sink which, frankly, is a strange expectation given most sinks don’t come with a spare hole ready to go “just in case” you might want to add another tap down the track. He advised he would need to drill one and charge extra.

We advised that this was clearly included in the package (with only stone benchtops attracting an additional fee). Unfortunately, his response was dismissive and unprofessional, even going as far as waving the drill around while reluctantly agreeing not to charge. From that point on, his attitude noticeably shifted and made what should have been a straightforward install feel unnecessarily tense and uncomfortable.

While this reflects poorly on the installer, it’s not entirely separate from Soda Tap’s overall service, as they are the ones who engaged and recommended the contractor. There does need to be some accountability there, whether that’s in better vetting, clearer communication, or ensuring installers fully understand what is included in the packages they’re representing.

That said, Soda Tap Australia themselves were excellent throughout, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. If there were a 4.5-star option, that’s probably where this lands, but 4 stars doesn’t feel fair given how strong everything else was.

It feels like commercial equipment, not a consumer appliance. The compact size (610mm) fits perfectly in tight outdoor kitchen layouts without sacrificing cooking area. The ThermoFlex technology works as advertised. The plate forms a gentle concave shape when heated, keeping sauces and juices centred. When it cools, it flattens for easy cleaning. I've used it for breakfast cooking (eggs, bacon, hash browns), stir-fries, teppanyaki dishes, and quick weeknight meals. Sadly this new set (in the Cream) colour are incredibly different in quality. While my Truffle Grey colour looks as new desperate year long use, my Cream pan is ready for the bin after 2-3 months. Used on the same cooktop; with the same utensils; seasoning and cleaning the exact same way.

With literal sweat and tears I’ve managed to salvage probably 80% of the interior but the exterior is completely destroyed, colour damaged and stained.

I have provided the pictures and videos they requested. I have shown the comparison between the colours, showing that it is obviously a quality control issue. I’ve followed the instructions they provided as a fix for the staining - nothing works.

They are refusing replacement as ‘the 12 month warranty’ only covers the inside of the pan and despite acknowledging the discolouration, won’t do anything about it. I am removing my previous recommendations to friends and family and public social media pages, as I don’t feel the price (even heavily reduced as they are now) is worth it. A simple pan replacement would have given me good faith in the company, but they are refusing even this.

Please consider looking elsewhere.

no metal, no high heat. It's totally different from what they advertised, Titanium shield cladding, resist scratch, it's all lies. One star given because one of the staff in Box Hill trying to help to link the communication to the sales. They don't respond on any emails sent, useless, don't waste your money and time.

I cannot recommend Assefs highly enough. Their RM Williams boots are exceptionally priced. The Service is fantastic. I had an issue with a Sole and Kirsty managed a resolution immediately with no issues. Great company and people.

Knives disappointing – Knives do not last first use and it broke on the blade near the handle

Buyer beware. You can not return a faulty item to the shop. You have to email them then post back. The jar opener at $29.95 is totally useless.
