My dog has been on this for years and has been great! Fantastic value for money for the quality of food you get. I was surprised that I could buy this at my local Woolworths & Coles stores. Show details

I literally can't feed my dog anything else! I have a cav with a very sensitive stomach and this food is perfect for him (and me picking up after him). He loves both flavours, ingrediant list looks like great quality and I think it;s pretty decent value for money. Thank you Applaws :) Show details

My dog absolutely loves this dry food! The quality is excellent, and I’m really happy that it’s natural and grain free. When we rescued her, she had some skin issues, but they have cleared up since she's been on Applaws. She's happy, so that means I am! Show details

Kibble Size Reduced Yet Again – Had been exclusively buying this dry dog food for my two small/medium sized dogs for about 18 months. I liked the ingredients. Unfortunately the kibble has reduced in size twice during this time. I recently wrote to manufacturer sending a comparison photo of the latest downsize. Rather than admitting they had reduced kibble size they conveyed a… Read more

convoluted story of ingredients, machinery and size parameters.

It is purely a marketing ploy for you to use more of the food - as most people measure by cup rather than weight when feeding. We all know you fit more sand in a cup than rocks and pebbles. I don’t believe they can make it any smaller….

They did send a replacement bag which of course contained the same specks of kibble. Now more suited to mini sized dogs.

Changed Kibble without noting it on package – What a shock to open the latest pack and see the tiny tiny dark brown kibble in the bag instead of the larger pale coloured kibble. No mention of it on packaging and no doubt ingredients are different to be that drastic in change of kibble yet no mention of this on packaging. Following up on this with the regulators if this is legal. Show details

Dog food goes to the dogs! – Applaws Duck dog food was a good product. Then they changed its contents and didn't tell anyone. We were purchasing it for our dog who has some allergies, Sadly the new ingredients made him sick. I am aware the producers of this product do not have to legally advise of the change however to my knowledge there was not advice. Won't be purchasing this product EVER again! Show details

It's great, my dog loves it!! – My dog has been eating this dry food for many years now and he's had no health problems. He's now a senior dog and still moves around like a young dog! I'm very particular about what I give my dog and never buy him store bought treats as some are laced in salt, so I opt to make my own chicken jerky for him, which he loves very much. Show details

Must be good – My little maltese shitzsu is the fussiest eater ive ever seen. Wont eat anything. Oh my goodness he gobbled this one down the moment i put some in his plate. Looks like a found something he likes, finally. I even saw him this morning eating some more from his bowl. Show details

Excellent for gluten free diet – Our boy has a grain intollerence that causes seizures, bloody stools and vomiting. We decided to try Applaws grain free in his diet. He likes them, cleaned out his bowl and is content with no pain. This is great. We can now offer him these biscuits too which is a relief. Its a bit costly but knowing its truly grain free is a big plus. We will buy again.  Show details

Applaws 156g can – So this review is actually for the applaws chicken breast canned food (156g). The fact that it actually made in Thailand, not Australia, is the first negative. The second is that the weight of these cans fluctuates so much it is just ridiculous. We've been weighing every can and every can is a different weight. Today I opened a can that looked… Read more

like it had more juice than meat. I drained the water and was left with 100g of meat!!!! Considering the cans sell for $2.80, that equates to $28 a kilo!!!!!! From now on, I'll be purchasing fresh chicken breast for $9 a kilo and making my own!!!!! And I'm sure that the chicken meat they use is the rubbish that doesn't pass for human consumption that would normally be thrown out. How these companies get away with this is beyond me. I've taken photos and will be contacting fair trading and I will ensure that I do everything I can to get this message out there so people are aware of what they are actually paying for. You should be ashamed applaws!!!!

Fantastic and healthy dog food – I have 2 small dogs, and 1 has a very sensitive stomach which is easily upset by a lot of commercial brands. I wanted a good quality food that wasn't full off grains, but also one that was affordable. I saw Applaws at the supermarket, and did some online research about it. From what I read, it was better than a LOT of premium brand dog food. This… Read more

was about 2 years ago, and I haven't looked back. I only ever buy Applaws now, my dogs love it, it's healthy, not super expensive, and my sensitive stomach pup has no tummy troubles at all.

Excellent! – Have switched my dog from Optimum (breeder had him on this) to Applaws. Put my other dog on Applaws ages ago, and both dogs are thriving! Perfect weight, beautiful coats that don't shed as much as normal cattle dogs do, and I have never had an issue with the kibble. UK owned brand, but Australian made, which is fantastic. My only ask would be bigger sized bags, 2.7kg only lasts my dogs 4-5 days! Show reply

Best Cat and Dog Food Brand – The entire Applaws range is great ! My dog suffered from allergies and i tried every brand of dog food out there including all the expensive ones for sensitive stomachs etc and nothing worked till i switched to Applaws and finally my dog stopped having diarrhea and bad poos. My dog was so happy with it that i decided to switch my cat to Applaws cat food too and she loves it too - Show details ·  1

Variety our puppies love – We have 4 small maltese x ShihTzu dogs that we feed puppy food all the time. For variety we mixed with home cooked food and rotate brands/flavours of dry puppy food to give them wide ranges of food (as each brands offers different mixed of ingredients and flavours). Applaws puppy is 50% meat and grain free so we give it a try. Our dogs are quiet a… Read more

fussy/picky eater too. Surprisingly they love Applaws puppy chicken. The kibbles are SMALL and THIN easy to crunch for those tiny teeth and mouth. And the aroma is stronger than other kibbles. We didn’t even have to put toppers they just eat it as is and fast!

Thought it was ok but – I got cut by the kibble, there's sharp pieces in the kibble that could of cut my pups throat/ tummy. God knows what it's made of! Not happy, will not buy again.

Best Dry Food for all Dogs – Following a visit to my local Pet Shop to buy dog food for my baby Schnauzer I was advised to look up the following website www.petfoodreviews.com.au. It certainly opened my eyes to the wide range of poor products on the market. Before going to the Pet Shop I purchased a bag of Dry Food from Woolworths "My Dog" for Puppy, states High Quality… Read more

Australian Meat. When I looked up this product on Pet Review they rated the product very poorly.

So, if you want your prized pet to eat good quality food, yes you will pay more, but at least your dog will be eating good food and the not the garbage some of these companies portray.

After a good read I decided on Appslaws "It's All Good" which was rated highly, can purchase from Woolworths. My baby Schnauzer cannot get enough of the Appslaws dry food, as soon as the food hits the bowl, all gone.

As far as her other food I purchase fresh mince, mixed with brown rice and veg's from The Doggie Den in Bairnsdale Victoria.

Good value for money – I have a westie which is prone to allergies, so I changed my puppy's diet from supercoat to applaws puppy because it said it's grain free which can lessen the chance of allergies. My puppy loves it, it smells good and it claims to be 50% meat. And it is cheaper than many grain free premium brands in the market. The only down side is you can only purchase online. Woolies only stock the adult ones.

Made my dog thin and hungry! – My border collie gets 75% meat, eggs, and fish with a cup of dried food [optimum adult] everyday. Swapped to Applaws and she got very thin and very hungry despite getting the same serve!

Best dog food I've come across – My new puppy developed severe diarrhea not long after I brought her home. Took her to the vet, nothing obvious wrong with her. Problem cleared up after a couple of days at the vet, took her home, same thing, back to the vet and it cleared up again. I came to the conclusion it was the food I was giving her, Pedigree dry puppy food. Did some… Read more

research and discovered Applaws, looked pretty good. I bought some and changed her over to that. Within two days the diarrhea had completely cleared up. Threw the Pedigree in the bin. I also give her small amounts of fresh dog mince with the dry food, she will actually eat the dry first then the meat. She is thriving on this food, I could not be happier with the Applaws dry puppy food and I will certainly be using the adult food when she is old enough.
