Still, it is one of the best earphones – I was lucky enough to purchase the first generation a year ago. I like that I can tap on the ears to change songs etc. Also, sync well with Apple Watch and I can switch songs with watches. Show details

Absolutely love them............with a small adjustment!!! – I purchased a set of AirPods yesterday after alot of research. For me, It was a choice between the AirPods and the Bose Soundsport Free. I ultimately decided on the AirPods as they ticked a few extra boxes for me. I have a few Apple products already and Apple assured me if I didn’t like them I could return within two weeks no questions asked. … Read more
I unboxed them at work, synced within seconds perfectly. Sounded great. Made a phone call, perfect as expected. Comfortable, unobtrusive, great sound simple and easy to use. Love them already.
Got to the gym at lunch, FAIL!!!!! Grrrrr “sad face”
I started walking on the treadmill, all good. Then moved into jogging at 6km/hr, right one fell out after five steps. Nearly lost it under the treadmill. Removed them, ran for a warmup km listening to the gym music playing instead. Thinking that running with them is out of the question lets try weights instead.
Standing bicep curls and Tricep Extensions, perfect, no problems at all. Gravity keeps them in check.
Tried laying down for bench press, FAIL!!!! Constantly trying to contain them in my ears. Both sides fell out 2-3 times each during my lying exercises. Of course the music stops every time one is removed. Very distracting.
Think to myself, that’s it I’m taking them back. Ill get the Bose instead.
Turns out my ear cavities are quite large and not suited to the standard AirPods size or shape. I never used the EarPods before as Ive always preferred my QC 35’s when not in the gym so I couldn’t compare them to the AirPods.
But I really like the ease, simplicity, effortlessness as well as the case battery life of the AirPods (24hrs!!!). I really don’t want to return them. Decide to see if others have had the same issues and what solutions work best for them before I make my decision.
I came across NewZealandMatt’s post on Mac Rumours through a google search and decided it was worth a try. Popped down to my local Chemist Warehouse and found the Nexcare Absolute Waterproof Tape for $7.49.
Got home and placed a couple of spots on each AirPod in the same location as Matt. WOW!!! What a difference. They fit perfectly and the sound is soooooo much better than before. No jiggle or movement at all. Layed down on the floor and they did not budge. Best of all, no interference at all with the case closing.
Its almost lunch time, so I will report back after my next gym session about how they perform after my modifications.
Again, a massive thanks to NewZealandMatt for sharing this solution. For those sitting on the fence, this is definitely worth a try.
Believe the Hype – I gave in to all the hype and I'm so glad I did. These aren't great for the sound quality (it's good but not riveting) but rather for their convenience. I've found myself listening to music a lot more frequently in places and scenarios I didn't before. It's so easy to open the case, pop the buds in, then double tap one to start playing music where… Read more
you left off. Sure beats the hassle of detangling a cord then finding music through your device.
For lifting and running, these have been fantastic. Previously, I'd used wired Panasonic earbuds for exercising, and the cord would always tug down or sideways while exercising. Now I don't have this trouble. I've set up my AirPods so that double tapping the left one starts and stops music, while double tapping the right one skips to the next song. This convenience makes controlling music a lot less cumbersome when exercising.
And, importantly, AirPods make the dream of listening to music through earbuds while gardening or cleaning without pants on a reality.
One thing that's a pain is that you don't get any sort of notification when the case is low on charge. Sure, you can check the battery status in your Today View's Batteries widget, but that requires the case being open and near the phone. Or you can realise that if you open the case with the AirPods still inside and the LED is orange, it means the case is low on battery. In addition to the lack of significant battery notification, there's no non-Siri way to directly control the volume on these, and that can be frustrating at times.
The best Apple Product in a decade – Bought from the Good Guys, paid around $200. If you use an iPhone, and you need a pair of cable-free bluetooth earphones, don't think twice, AirPods is the best option! This product is revolutionary, I know it sounds Apple-ish and unreal, but it's true. The way it pairs up with your iPhone is so easy, just pop the case open near your iPhone,… Read more
and it's paired, it's magical.
These AirPods sound better than the wired EarPods, with so much more bass, if you're used to the EarPods, just pop in an apple store and ask them you wanna try the AirPods, the second you try them on, you'll notice the bass is so much more than the EarPods, I'd say the sound quality is decent, it's not something like in ear monitors by shure. If you're just using it for casual music listening, it's more than enough. By the way, make sure you shake your head like crazy when you try them on in apple store, just to make sure these doesn't fall off when you're running or doing other exercises.
The design is beautiful and quite elegant, even though the case looks like a dental floss case, the size is actually quite small and it's been pretty handy.
The AirPods can totally replace your old bluetooth earpiece, and the microphone sounds pretty good. Another magical thing is that if you take out one of the earpiece out, it'll pause the music on that one to save battery, and it can fully operate on only one ear. The battery life on these are about 4 hours, but the case will charge it when you're not using it, and it'll give nearly 24-hours of listening time. The battery does drain quite faster when you're making phone calls, so bear in mind if you're only gonna use these for phone calls.
If you're an Android phone user, I don't recommend these, because the experience with android has not been very pleasant. It's gonna work as a normal pair of bluetooth earphones but Siri won't work and the pairing process is taking a lot longer. I recommend jaybirds ones for Android phones.
Rumors saying we might see the second generation of AirPods in mid to late 2018, if you're not in a hurry for bluetooth earphones, you might consider wait a little longer. Hopefully it'll involves some new sensors and redesign of the products.

Amazing – A great purchase. So much more convenient than headphones with a chord. They’re such great quality, however sometimes they do take a while to connect to something other than my phone. Otherwise perfect! Highly recommend. Show details
Use these everyday! Makes working out with music or podcasts so much easier and more comfortable – I was given these as a gift from my BF and they have honestly been the biggest game changer to my workouts! Usually I would struggle with the headphone cords when running or lifting weights but the fact these can just sit securely in my ears is amazinggg. I don’t even notice they’re there! Show details
AirPods – How can we live without our AirPods? At times they do fall out of the ears, however they are comfortable wearing. Surprised they are a little heavier than expected but at least I know I have them. A great idea to have the storage case to charge. Show details
Negative reviews
good for a few months – The sound and talking on the phone is great but after a few months I have charging problems. The right earpod wont charge very well and doesnt last which is disappointing considering how much these cost. Show details
Rip off – They were very good when I first bought them, the sound quality was great and I was impressed with how far I could walk away from my phone while still having them in my ears. After a few months of using them they got quieter and quieter, and when I turned the volume all the way up just so I could here my music, it could be heard by other people… Read more
and I was caught listening to music I’m class. Of course I got in trouble and was quite angry about it. After a while of using them they feel very uncomfortable when I connect my AirPods, I’m not sure why that is since they felt fine when I first brought them. They’re obviously over priced like what apple does with every product they produce and are made to break after a certain amount of time so we go back and buy more. I don’t think I’m going to buy another pair is they will just break and crap out.
Typical apple product all show no go – Battery life abysmal. Non repairable and not even good for recycling. Have tried all the ‘fixes’ to try to stop right one shutting down after a minute or so. I won’t be replacing these with an apple product. Show details

Amazing sound and quality – I’ve purchased it 3 years ago and until now I’m able to use it even though I’ve been dropping them multiple times on a solid floor. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good quality airpods. Show details

My most used and favourite apple product – Oldies but goodies. Can't beat the originals. OG - Original and still the best!

Nothings perfect but still amazing – Purchased Apple Air pods through the Apple store. I'm very happy with the purchase. Sound quality is very clear and fit/comfort is very good. Carry case is great at both protecting the pods when not in use and for ease of carrying pods. Can control skipping of song when listening to music by tapping twice on Air Pods. Bluetooth setup is very easy.… Read more
Can receive calls and communicate back with ease. You can charge the case, which charges the Air Pods at anytime.
Can’t live without them – Love, love, love my AirPods and couldn’t live without them. I use my AirPods daily listening to podcasts, music and all my phone calls I have the freedom to continue doing tasks without having to hold the phone. The clarity and volume is very good and when walking they fit well I have covers for the pods which help keep them in place when doing… Read more
vigorous exercise, I highly recommend Apple AirPods to anyone who leads an active busy life and needs to multi task.
Amazing quality! – Great wireless earphones that are super great for normal everyday tasks. Many of my family members own them. Only doubt is they can fall out easily. But i absolutely recommend!! Show details
Excellent – the headphones are suitable for physical activities such as running and cycling I am satisfied with the sound volume of the headphones and with the wireless range of these headphones
Waste of money after 12 months defective and apple giving me run around – Left headphone no longer as loud have been to Apple store got told to ring helpline checked firmware updates ect jumped through all the hoops they then want to charge for a replacement when I could buy whole new set of another brand for less. Another blatant abuse of market power. I’m annoyed I even bothered replacing the one I lost and got nipped… Read more
the first time. Can’t wait to convert my sales team from iPhones and iPads next upgrade bye bye Apple forever.
Best on the Market – My AirPods are the best investment I have made in a while, I sew and I was tired of my headphone cables getting in the way and the AirPods fixed this for me. Sounds quality is awesome, they stay charged for a week with A decent amount of usage. Really, really happy with them and would highly recommend. Show details
Faulty, poor excuse from Apple – One of the pods no longer charges properly, they cut-out / disconnect during calls, they run out of battery very quickly. Apple expect me to pay $110 to replace only one of the pods and their excuse was that it was more than 2-years since I bought them. Surely earphones that cost as much as apple charge would last far longer than 2-years..... very disappointed.
Worth the money love it – No wiring that gets in the way when I’m exercising. It doesn’t fall off. Sometimes I forget I’m wearing it. I listen to music mostly and to watch videos. The sound quality is awesome. I can walk from one room to another and reception is still there. It charges pretty quickly. Really happy with them. Show details
Can not live without them!! – I got these for running and I love them!! I was a little worried they would fall out and I would lose one or bother forever, but they only ever fall out when I do a silly movement or bump them myself - not a design fault, I am clumsy. The sound is great quality and they are so comfortable that I sometimes forget i'm wearing them. Would… Read more
recommend for anyone that likes listening to audio books, runs/walks or find standard corded headphones annoying.
The battery time is great, by the time they are running low I am probably ready to have a break from listening (usually while i'm working) and they recharge in the case very quickly.

Perfect! – These headphones are just perfect, that’s it! There’s no flaws! They are perfect for running or any sport activities, they don’t fall out and are sweat resistant. Also great music quality Show details
Compact beast – Very cool and compact headset which you can take it with you everywhere anytime. I use it when I travel and commute. It is very tiny but somehow it has got advanced technology enable to get rid the the noice around you, so people whom you talk to can hear you clearly. Charging case is awesome too, you can leave it for 5 mins and it last for an hour or so. Show details
Dies after a year just out of warranty. Terrible – Not suitable for any physical activity as it’s not sweat resistant. Sound quality and volume was good until left AirPod stopped producing the same sound and was quieter (same with my brothers pair). Wireless range is not good, beats headphones are better Show details
Baffled at the good reviews here – I used my Airpods for a range of activities - gym, conference calls, watching movies on phone etc. They are not at all suitable for exercise, they felt so loose I could hardly tell whether they were in half the time. I have brushed past my hair and caused them to fall out. Sound was ridiculously quiet and would randomly change itself in the… Read more
middle of a movie or song to become quieter? Sometimes if watching a movie if I took out or replaced an ear it would assume that my music would be to start playing - very frustrating I will say good wireless range and battery life also lasts.
Wireless is fantastic – First time I’ve had wireless and it’s fantastic. I can move around without having to worry about the cords. They sit comfortably in my ears and the sound is amazing. I use them a lot more than the ones with cords Show details
My everyday music assistant – Love it so much. I had dr Dre over ear headphones before but I do yoga and lot of head stand and the headband is alway interfere. This one solved all problem it doesn’t hurt my ear and it’s not interrupt my yoga practice. Show details
Good product with small problems – Nice product design, luckily didn't lose one of them as my friends did, connection sometimes be poor that's when you miss a normal cable headphone. usually, last half-day more if you constantly listen to the music. Show details
Do not recommend – Just after using for 3 months, right side of airpods no longer works. Apple orchard service staff troubleshooted for TWO HOURS, changed the earphones and casing but still unsuccessful. Even the replacement set does not pair with the staff’s ipad. In the end, I have to make do with refund of gift card (Money refund not allowed) Show details
its ok – when you lose them the find my iphone app is bad the AirPods have to be connected to your iPhone to find them which is stupid they sound great but once you lose there gone Show details
Great earbuds – Love these earbuds, pair so easily with all my apple products and are so compact. Sound is very clear although doesnt turn up very loud. Yeah I know thats not good for ear health but I love loud music. Would like the option to be able to turn them up louder if I wanted. Show details
Lasted 8 months – Bought these for my wife so that she could use them in bed and go to sleep without tangling up wired earphones. They never left her bedside table. They stopped charging suddenly so took them to Harvey Norman and then an Apple store who said the lightning plug was corroded. I can understand that would stop charging but apparently that was our fault… Read more
so not covered. They'd never been wet and never been outside. If an 8 month old garaged car rusted it's under warranty. Apparently not so Apple. The lightning connector is a terrible design and a real weakness of Apple products -they know this and use usb-c for their laptops now. We should not have to pay for their poor design. I bought a cheap charging case to get them going again but no Bluetooth. When her iPhone dies next we'll be changing to Android
To easy to steal – I love my air pods except yesterday mine was stolen from my high school classroom. Theres is no way to fnd them now cus it is to easy to sync them to someone elses phone. Need to make them to where it is impossible to do that. Im really upset cus I worked to save my own money for them jus to have them stolen. Everything about them was amazing Show details
Good worth for value – They are iconic and look good in your head, but the sound could improve. The good is that is easy to connect with every other piece of Apple Equipment. Good enough for running. Show details
