I purchased an iPhone 16 Pro on 1 June 2025 for nearly $2,000. By 13 July, I reported serious issues with Apple CarPlay at the Penrith Apple Store. Staff reset the phone and referred me to Apple Support. Since then, I’ve spent hours on weekly calls, provided engineering logs, and was told to wait for iOS 26. Months later, the problem remains… Read more

unresolved. When I requested solution from Apple store in Penrith, a refund or replacement, Apple refused, offering only a “buy‑back” of $985 — less than half of what I paid. After five months, I still have a faulty phone, no solution, no refund, and no replacement. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. For the price paid, I expected reliability and proper support. I cannot recommend this product.

The phone is excellent <however it comes without a manual which is very disappointing. The whole idea of producing an updated model should be for improvement, not taking a step backwards Show details

Follow-up  · There has not been a response, however the web site says that it is an environmental issue. This is absolutely nonsense, the Apple management has a duty of care to their customers and in this case they have failed?

I’ve been using the pink coloured iPhone 16 Pro and absolutely love it. As a mum, I wanted something simple, fast, and reliable , this phone ticks all the boxes. The photo quality is amazing. I take so many pictures of my son, and they always come out sharp and colourful, even in tricky lighting. I don’t have to mess around with settings , it… Read more

just captures the moment beautifully.

One of the biggest wins for me is the 256GB of storage. I never have to worry about running out of space for photos, videos, or apps which is honestly a lifesaver when you're a parent always capturing memories or downloading things for your child.

The pink colour is a lovely bonus too , it feels personal and cheerful.

Highly recommend for any parent who wants quality, ease, and space all in one phone

I noticed my phone gets very hot during normal usage when talking on the phone or browsing the net; phone would get that hot, that I had to turn it off to let it cool off, otherwise it was too hot to touch. Took it to Genius Bar at Apple Store in Hornsby and Ben, the store manager, said to me that it was only my perception that phone was getting… Read more

hot and it was normal for phones to get warm. When I argued with Tim that my phone was getting uncomfortably hot to the touch, he just refused my argument and he said it was not something I could prove and feeling hot was subjective. They promised they would get a report back to me that phone was safe to use and it’s been over 24 hours and I haven’t seen any report. I changed an iPhone 15 pro for an iPhone 16 pro to simply because my iPhone 15 was getting too hot and too slow. But now after 9 months, my new phone e has exactly the same problems. I find it shameful that apple store staff behaviour towards me was so disrespectful. Apple has trained their staff very well to polish off clear issues with their technology.

Worth the $$ – Great phone, love the side sliding button function for zooming camera. Camera itself is great too. Happy with the purchase. If you thinking for spending get iPhone 16 instead of iPhone 15. Show details

Upgrade questionable – Screen strength has not improved - I bought a case but still got cracked on first drop Came with no charger plug ??? What’s with that and my old plug not compatible so had to buy one, only bonus is cords are now stronger and new plugs charge phone faster The transfer of data from old iPhone took forever and auto set up just didn’t work the circle… Read more

just kept rotating so rang Apple help and when finally got through and waiting on hold was redirected to Apple store which are fad and few between as a final resort if the instructions the very nice staff member gave didn’t work , luckily 2 hours later after initial try it did but should have been so time consuming Apple , only choose as if I set up manually all data lost needs improvement here

iPhone 16 pro – In Apple tradition, this 16 is great. The best aspect is the camera and video improvements. The battery is good. Lasts just over a day. Price tag is ok. Not a massive improvement from the 15. Would have expected a few more bells and whistles but overall happy with it.

iPhone 16 is rubbish – I have just bought the latest iPhone 16 pro and I have never been so disappointed with an Apple product. Great macro but not worth the upgrade – Upgraded my phone to the new IPhone 16 Pro, size and weight wise not much of a difference to previous pro model. The box is smaller and lighter. Inside not much to see, no longer you have the Apple logo sticker, just a USB C cable and the phone. Easy to set up via ICloud; this could take up to a day depending of course how many Apps, music and… Read more

photo storage you got stash away. Signal App took me 1hr.

So far the battery is an improvement from previous model. I managed to get just under 21 hours before needing to recharge. The previous IOS upgrade with the Passkey really helpful to set ip a new phone. Though I still find it useful to have my old phone handy with the set up of the new device, particularly with Microsoft email address.

The notch or Dynamic Island is getting smaller but by now most of the iPhone user would get use to it.

The three camera position is still the same set up as previous however they are quite noticeable with this new model, which make the general feel of the device a bit tacky. The new camera button control is in a weird place for me, Apple could place them a bit higher rather than spaced them out on the right hand side edge of the device. I do like the silent button/control button; more user friendly than the previous design. The silent control and the volume controls and all fairly close together on the left hand side edge of the device. Overall the buttons and the cameras are slightly protrude and this is a concern for not sure how they stand up with dust, water and general accidental fall. I installed a case just to prevent accidental mishap.

With Telstra I got 3 months free subscription to Apple fitness, music, arcade, news and TV.

The screen always stay on but on a lighter mode, finally Apple caught up with the rest of the high end Android devices. When scrolling and playing games there is a noticeable improvement from previous model. Another point I did noticed is that under bright and dark lighting I could still operate the phone without straining my vision.

Camera and video is what I like about the new device. The moment you move close to the object, it automatically switch on the macro profile and you can toggle off by pressing it or move away from the object. The closest I got to the object was about 2-3cm the quality of the image is pretty good.

For now I am not overly impress with the iPhone 16 Pro, my initial purchase was for AI for that I will wait till later on when Apple release that.
