Can’t Fault This iPhone – I’ve been really happy with my iPhone SE & not had a single issue with it to date. Purchased in June 2016 via the Apple store online and still as perfect as the day I purchased. Colour: Rose Gold. 64GB. Photo quality is great, and video quality is also great. Images are nice and sharp. Low light photos turn out well whether inside or… Read more
outside.
The iPhone records sound very well when recording videos. Nice and clear playback.
I’ve been using my iPhone to take photos of my artwork to upload to Instagram and the quality is always impressive.
I also love the photo editing tools in iPhone. Very handy if you took the photo in a room with very little light & you want to increase the exposure a little. Perfect.
Apps work without a problem.
Surfing the internet, watching YouTube or streaming is effortless & I’v not had buffering issues.
Using the SE for social media is also never an issue for me.
Uploading and downloading is great.
Good battery life too! And the screen brightness is perfect, plus you can adjust the screen brightness to a lower level or higher level depending on what you want.
This is my 2nd iPhone and I will definitely continue with the Apple brand when purchasing Or upgrading again.
My only complaint is that this model if accidentally dropped will slightly dent on the aluminium looking part of the phone edges if that’s where the first point of impact happened.
Not as tough on the exterior like my previous iPhone 3GS model.
My SE slipped out of my hand once and it caused a small flat dent on the corner as described above earlier. The screen area wasn’t affected.
Overall I love this phone and continue to be really happy with it.
Would I recommend? Yes most definitely.
Best iphone released! – Firstly, I am a fan of all phones. I generally appreciate the iphone for its simplicity as i don't use my phone all the often unless it's a quick scan of notifications. However in terms of everyday use and performance against androids oeprating system, its genuinely good! Now i love the fact that its small, but i have never owned an phone unless… Read more
it's an android that can withstand going for a swim in the pool or being thrown across a footpath.
They honestly put a little more into this little guy then the clunky versions it was released with, no crap, my iphone se went for a swim in the back of a boat for about 30 mins, only for me to find it in trapped in bottom part where it shorts water off-board out to see. Now it was tricky to get to because i had to jam my hand down a fibreglass slot, scratching it open against it while retrieving my phone. Unfortunately at this point in time someone thought it would be a great idea to give me a call, I honestly thought it was wrecked at this point. Anyway it was out, i turned it off and started my searh, however no rice on board and just leaving for a fishing trip, it wasnt for about 8 hours until i got try to nurse him back to life. After the intial day of waver colours, it was finely back alive. Still kicking as this phone was only a month old at the time, she's roughly turning 8 months now. Should she still be alive at the end of my contract, she might be the first phone i dont upgrade to a new one for a while!
It was a hard decision switching to Apple but I like it – In the past I've had android phones and a couple of windows phones. I was reluctant switching to Apple because they cost so much but after killing a couple of windows phones (lumia 720 and 830) it was time to invest into something that's probably worth repairing. Unfortunately I had only owned my SE for about 3 months when it fell out of my… Read more
pocket onto the road when I was running and the screen cracked (despite having a reasonable case). It was a hairline crack, considering the initial cost I was certainly going to pay to have it repaired. It turns out that Apple store repaired it for me for free. I know if there is a next time I won't be so lucky but certainly can't deny that the service they offer is great, and even though it meant driving to Perth at least they have repair centres in WA (unlike some other phone brands).
I chose this phone for the smaller size. After getting used to doing things the apple way I find that it has more features and better apps than windows, yet is more reliable than android, it hasn't crashed on me once. The problem with android phones is that they don't get update support for long enough, and even if they do it can take a long time until you get yours particularly if you don't buy the top of the line handsets.
So now the rest of the family have also purchased iphone SE, although they got the 32GB models from Telstra, they were switching from windows phone, iphone 4S and iphone 5, and everyone is happy with the new phone.
The only real downside is considering I have telstra prepaid credit I can't use it to buy apps from the iTunes store like I could with the windows store (and I believe android allows it as well). The new telstra prepaid plans are different though so it's not really an issue for people any more.
The battery seems to be adequate, doesn't take too long to charge either. It would be nice if screen to phone ratio was bigger (smaller bezel) but the touch id button certainly works really well and is great compared to having to enter your pin all the time. However if your kids have this phone make sure they write down the passwords and pin codes in a safe place otherwise if they forget their pin code it can be a hassle, if they forget the icloud password it would be a world of hurt (I imagine). I definitely recommend icloiud as it's great for diabling the phone if it gets lost. I have had the pleasure of our Son leaving his phone on the bus, and then another time forgetting his pin code that he changed haha.
Now that I have an iPhone I do think it's a reaonsble investment but time will tell. The SE is great as it was hard to find a decent spec phone with a smaller size in android or windows.

I love having the latest features on a phone of this size. Perfect for me! – The camera quality is good when taking photos in good light. If looked after, the product is very durable, but as with all electronics, if you drop them, they suffer. Battery life has been great!
Functions like a 6 or 7, but not so bulky – Have had this phone for years now as I didn’t want a larger phone such as the iPhone 6 or 7, but it functions just as well in my opinion. Still functions very well, fast and reliable, 2.5 years later. Battery now needs to be charged each night if I’ve used it much through the day, but could still easily make it 1.5days with light use only Show details
Good basic iPhone small & compact – 1 of the smallest iPhones available at the moment. Does all the basic things. Easy to use. Plenty of apps are available to be used with this model. Battery life is ok as long as you dont run too many things at the same time. Good choice if you can't afford a newer model. I have included a picture I took using the iPhone SE Show details

Just ok – I think the screen is too small especially comparing the other phone I have --- A XIAOMI 5. I'm not enjoying watching any video from it. It lacks function I really needed... The only good thing I see about this phone is it's small enough to put into my pocket with multi-functional phone case. Show details
Nighmare with Apple ID password and credit card – This phone is big pain. Can't download any free apps without paying through credit card, not sure how they got my credit card information. Can't remove credit card information from this phone no option. I spent hours with google, YouTube spent hours to delete my credit card information without any success. My advice don’t buy iPhone it will make you crazy. Always ask you password, touch Id, security number!!!!!!!!! It is simply a nightmare box. Show details
Bent – The phone bent from no known reason..they won’t replace is under warranty and even if I pay for the out of warranty (500) they won’t let me add Apple care as it was purchased internationally. I am pretty disappointed. Apple store lineups who’s are also ridiculously long and long wait times Show details

Excellent Just brought another in 2020 – Ive had this phone for 4yrs, Ive just purchased another identical :) in preparation for when it is needed, but to be honest, this old one hasn't yet skipped a beat, even though it has hit the concrete even without a case, many times, it is still cheaper to buy new than a Iphone6, even though the operating system Is equivalent to a 7, It has been heaven compared to the prior POS refurbished iPhone 5S that virgin mobile sold me as new. This iPhone SE is perfect the cameras got high is high and brilliant and the IOS is high, and thebSE – The apps run extremely fast and so do the games where the primary single usage or online multiplayer also you can download and update the apps at appstore. I like the size of the iPhone SE it's a nice manageable size and you can make the internal storage high or low... Well done apple well done. Download the game 8ball pool it's a fun and fast played pool game, and the graphics and sound are outstanding Show details
Great phone, love the size and the speed – Have owned the se for about 2 years, and have loved it. Great camera, good speed, the Touch ID is a fantastic addition. Durability has been really good with this phone also.. I don’t use a protecting cover and it has all but a few scratches. Given it’s constantly floating around in my handbag this is a pretty good indication of its strength Show details
Small and smart – This phone has great functionality. I particularly like the email settings which let me access all my email accounts from the one place and easily reply from whichever email address is most appropriate. Security is easy with my thumbprint on the home button being all that's needed to open the phone usually. Apps are easy to download from itunes… Read more
and to organise onto different pages and folders. The only problem is sometimes people tell me that they find it hard to hear me when they call me. I have taken to holding the phone horizontally so I can speak directly into the speaker in the bottom, which is fine when I'm at home and can put the caller onto the speaker but won't work when I'm out. I'm going to change the case to see if it makes it any better. If that doesn't work, I'll take it into the Apple store and ask them to look at it.
Best phone for me – This phone has been relieved and fancy free to me ! We actually have 2 one for me and one for my wife ! The size is most important for us as we don’t like the bigger ones ! The only thing is the battery life it needs to be longer but over all a nice unit. Regards Pino Show details

Great phone - Perfect size! – This is my first iPhone and I've got to say it has changed me from an android user to iPhone user. It is great because it is very simple to use and less buttons to press than an android. The battery life is really good it will last me at least 6 hours a day but you'd still need to charge it every night. The fingerprint unlock sometimes takes a bit… Read more

The best phone I have ever had – The iPhone SE has been the most functional mobile phone I have ever used. The camera is perfect for selfies and small group photos. The size is just right for my hand. The memory seems to never max out. The cord to plug into the phone plugs in without having to fit only one way. I love it... Show details
Great size – Great size for a person who wanted comfort. I gave 3 stars as the touch ID stopped working when the phone was just 4 moths old. However, do not let that stop you from buying it. iPhone SE is such a great phone for me. Battery wise is excellent. It lasts a whole day 6AM to 5PM or even until 8PM- that is only for regular use- phone call and… Read more
regular SMS. When I don't use internet, the battery lasts for 2 days and when internet is used, it only takes 8 hours before recharging it.
I love the camera and its features.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting a high end phone but likes compact size.
Great value for an Apple product! – I have had an iPhone SE for about 3 years now. I have only ever had one technical issue with the phone stuck in a restart loop but my local Apple store replaced the phone for me free of charge. Apps run smoothly and the battery lasts me throughout the day. I have no issues with the iPhone SE and it is a great price compared to other models! Show details

The best value iPhone on the market – I appreciate this model cos you can use it with one hand only. Sometimes there are issues with new iOS so the general fix is to reset settings. 18 months old now and still serves me well. Good camera, enough storage and still getting decent speed processing. The battery might need replacing soon, with AppleCare it should be covered for another few… Read more
months so I do not think it will be an issue financially. Im happy to keep this handset for another year at least.
Love, love, love! – I am an Apple lover. Have been for years. I’ve had a iPhone 5 since shortly after release and have not liked the size of the 6, 7, 8 or X. I much prefer the smaller size of the 5 which I can operate one handed if needed. So the last time I was in an Apple Store I checked out the SE. Without going into all the technical details, the SE is basically… Read more
the functions of the 6 in the box of the 5. It’s perfect for me and much cheaper than buying a new 6, 7 or 8. I really hope Apple go back to the smaller size in future.
Great phone! – I introduced Android to my household. My wife couldn’t stand it, so, I got her an iPhone 4 and she was happy. I was still using an Android, but after a while, I couldn’t stand it either. I switched to iPhone 5 and it was fantastic. We both now use iPhone SE. For us, it’s a good size. For me, it feels like a faster iPhone 5 (about the same size,… Read more
but faster). Apart from making phone calls, I use it for music, calendars, taking pictures, banking, navigation, issuing invoices, shopping, fitness, religious worship, and other things.
The downside: if I have so many intensive apps running, it could get hot. Switching off and on again fixes that, though.
Fantastic Phone! – Upgraded my Iphone four to a SE model. Screen is larger than iphone four and the camera is far better in qualtity. Although there are other later models out on the market from Apple. I found the value in buying an older phone new as an affordable alternative option. The Se are getting ahrder to find now new due to other models on th e market. Show details
Great value and functionality – I've been an iPhone user for several years now, but the SE is probably my favourite yet. I was previously using a 5S, but didn't feel the need to spend exorbitant amounts on the 8 or the X when I was eligible to upgrade my plan, so I "settled" for the SE. It's been about 6 months or so, and it's had absolutely no battery or performance issues,… Read more
which is a relief considering these issues normally plague most iPhone users after a while. It was also the same size as my previous phone, which I prefer, compared to the large size of the newer models. It is marketed as having the performance of the 6, which I can't vouch for, but it's certainly better than the 5S that I had owned previously.
I would definitely recommend this phone, and you'll save $20-40/month (depending on your provider) if you choose this one over the newer models - it's definitely worth it, in my opinion!
works well – I wanted a phone that wasn't as big as the new ones so like the smaller nature of it - seems to work as required usually - a few weird things from time to time, but generally good. I'd definitely get one again although if you really need to have a latest model one I guess this one isn't quite as up to date! Good though! Show details
Love this phone – This is a good iPhone if you are after something a little smaller. The features work well and the overall design is very good. The camera is good quality however not as good as some other phones. The features are good although it could have a few more features such as facial recognition. Show details
Below average for an Apple product – I bought this iPhone SE as part of the Optus plan. It was an economical option, but the quality is not there. Slow and at times get stuck and not responsive. Never worked well after the first few months. I still pay for it in my plan, but actually using another handset. Show details
Solid Purchase – The phone has an excellent over build very similar to the iPhone 5, but I feel it runs much more smoother. The camera is decent for taking quick snaps and 64gb capacity is more than enough storage given iCloud storage, Dropbox, Google Drive can be used instead. The fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone makes it a breeze unlike the older iPhones… Read more
where you still need to enter the passcode. The screen size is more than enough, it isn't too big or too small so fits perfectly into my pocket. Battery life is quite decent, lasts majority of the day with normal usage.
A downsize with the iPhone SE is that i have noticed the phone starting to slow down after the new update? Not sure if the new update is too new for the phone or what.
Good phone without the crazy pricetag – Got a couple of these for my parents who were using very old smartphones. They wanted easy to use so apple products are great here but also wanted to make sure they didnt spend over $1000 per phone. This phone is more or less equivalent with the iphone 6s internally but the screen and size is a tiny bit smaller. If huge screen is the big selling… Read more
point this isnt the phone for you but it's fast and easy to use and fits better in your pocket. I've got a 6s as my daily phone and i actually prefer the smaller SE as my fingers can reach across the screen better and it fits in my pocket. Oh and the best tip is to find this at a great price is to look for prepaid network lock. Most can be unlocked free of charge if you need that so do some research and save a bit of money.
Great small phone – Great phone for people that like smaller screens. The prices right now are also reasonable compared to when it first came out which was around $830. I will definitely consider buying the same model when the current one that I use no longer works. Best value iphone that Apple made in my opinion. Show details
Frustrating if used to larger phone – I have this as a work phone and for reference my primary one was the old IPhone 7 Plus and now the iPhone X. IE. I'm used to larger phones. not, then please spend a bit of time testing the keyboard and various size constrained features before you decide to purchase this iPhone.
Also as I'm slowly getting there in years, I find that my far-sightedness is a major pain when using this phone so if you are considering getting this for an older person (eg. your parent), then let them test drive it for readability first.
Great Phoine – A great sized phone with all the features i need really packs a punch with quality components great picture sound and battery life - what more can i ask for when having a mobile. woudl never go for larger phones and will also be way too expensie . got for $500 which I think is great Show details
