Don't go near this company without being prepared to waste your money. See the photos for proof. First, delivery was shocking. They advised it would arrive the next day, Saturday, which it didn't. Then Tuesday for and a no show from the company, and finally it arrived on Thursday after purchase on the Friday prior. As for the Fisher &… Read more

Paykel gas cooktop which was advertised as a factory second, it arrived to be something that had clearly been used. The knobs were greasy and dirty, 3 of them weren't even attached; there was silicon still in place from where it had been attached to the benchtop; screws were missing from underneath, and one was floating around in the clingfilm wrap it came wrapped in (no box or anything resembling a box) some screw holes had been forced and misshapen; the gas connector attachment was certainly not new, the printed branding and guide for the intensity of the flame were very well worn (from rubbing clean over the time in use?).

On complaining to Appliances Warehouse they told me that factory seconds also includes ex-display models and could not explain why the knobs were not attached or dirt on the knobs. They were very aggressive and shouted at me in the store when I returned it to Bankstown. Eventually, the shouting man told someone to "bring out the other one" and out came one that actually did look like a factory second with some semblance of packaging. However, by this stage I did not want anything to do with the company and asked for my money back and I threatened to take them to NCAT. They then demanded that they would only give me my money back, less the 20% return fee if I put in writing that I would not take them to NCAT. With a lot more arguing, they eventually credited my account with 80%.

Avoid them at all costs.

The dishwasing machine was listed on their website as A+ condition , with just missing original carton. The dishwashing machine came totally damaged from both sides and the back, plus with a big damage inside, see the photos. The seller rejected to provide refund, so I had to raise it with PayPal to get my money back. Avoid!!!

Scam company – I wish I had read these reviews, as they are correct. This is a scam company presenting items as being in excellent condition with minimal to no damages, which is untrue. Staff are abusive in dealing with complaints and make false statements when selling you items and outlining the steps they will take to address damaged goods. Please make the effort to write to the ACCC to ensure this company is closed down.

Complete RIP off – Don't repeat my mistake dealing with this company. I did a LOT of research on products as I was completing a renovation of a cheap apartment so I had a budget. I have done this a number of times and have a good sense of appliance values. I found these guys and called on a Sunday to enquire about. I spoke to Robbie who was super keen to do a deal,… Read more

reducing prices to meet expectations and offset the cost of transport they couldn't cover.

I bought an Electrolux Washing Machine, Asko Dishwasher, Smeg cooktop and AEG oven. These were factory seconds, I've bought seconds before but never like this. The items are not Factory Seconds for example the dishwasher was advertised as Damaged Carton, upon unpacking it is labelled as "Repaired".

The oven I originally ordered and paid for was to be ready for collection, when I arrived it had been sold the prior day. I came back the following day as they messaged me saying they had one arrive unexpectedly. I went through to collect and they were cleaning it before packaging, it was a USED oven with marks all over the inside. If I hadn't gone through to see it before they packed it I would have arrived home in QLD with a filthy USED oven, not what I paid for.

The Washing Machine has been used and has significant scratches, my previous 7 year old Electrolux washing machine was in better condition than this "A+ Factory Second.

Please DO NOT bother with this company, I am so annoyed with myself for being swindled by them and there is no reply to questions about the issues. They take your money and that is it. They know it is illegal to misrepresent what you are buying but they don't care.

A good experience with Appliances Warehouse – Firstly after reading a few negative reviews on this firm I wanted to share my experience. It is unfortunate that good sales rarely get reviews but poor sale seem to get more. I hope my experience can balance this firms operations. Full disclosure, I am not related, affiliated nor do I have any knowledge of this company before this sale. I was… Read more

not asked to write a review. I simply found the product on a Google search and followed up with a phone call.

The story I was searching the web for a particular Ilve dual fuel free standing 900mm wide about $4000 - $6000 stove. These cookers were in run out and at the same time it appears Ilve seems to have changed its Australian representative structure. So run outs or floor stock may have been bulk auctioned

I found the colour and exact match at Appliances Warehouse. The price was unbelievably good so I was keen to do all the work to make sure I was getting what I wanted. Appliances Warehouse confirmed over the phone they had the product in stock and it was not refurbished but they were unable to confirm whether is was a display item or a second for some other reason.

Firstly if buying from a seconds warehouse it is imperative that you go to the store and inspect it. This was done. Take a mobile, use the camera and the light. The stove did not have a box. this gave me the opportunity to inspect for signs of damage, any sign of use, signs of cleaning, scratches and look inside the oven for damage and made sure all the dials and buttons and hinges move smoothly. Obviously you can't plug it into the gas or electricity but in the absence of any damage or evidence of use is a reasonable assumption that this is likely to be OK. Next ensure all the bits that should be there are present. Look for things like legs, brackets, baking trays and everything you expect to find in a new product. In this case everything was there including the printed user manual. So I closed the sale.

The unit arrived a couple of days later. It was on a pallet and was plastic wrapped and extra care was taken to ensure the stove was protected. I was very happy with the delivery and the delivery guys.

The unit was connected to electricity and gas and it works perfectly.

Be careful you know what you are getting when dealing with this company – Be careful when dealing with this company. Two appliances were supposed to be delivered and when nothing turned up, I called them. They insisted that I had received a phone call the day before (I had not) to say that one of the appliances was out of stock. I asked to have the in-stock item delivered and for a refund for the second. They told… Read more

me that they had asked for another appliance to be sent to them and it would be delivered the following week. Alarm bells rang, as I realised that this was because it is a refurbished item that has been previously owned. I called again the next week and it was still not in, so I asked for a refund and to send the second item. This item was delivered in good working order, however I didn't receive a refund for the first. I called a again and was finally given the refund. I wouldn't purchase with Appliances Warehouse again. I would suggest going into their store and you might have a better experience than online and over the phone.

Straight-up liars! – This company is in the business of selling products under false pretences. I purchased a Fisher and Paykel Dryer from them. On the sale page, it states: "Factory second item ,never used but has minor cosmetic damages as in scratch or dent , 12 Months warranty." I ordered the unit, and the invoice stated: "GOODS CONDITION: FACTORY… Read more

SECOND/REFURBISHED"

I called and asked to confirm that this unit was never used, and the person confirmed it had never been used. I also asked to confirm that the unit would include all accessories it should, and was told that it will come with anything it should have come with if purchased brand new, possibly without the manual.

Upon receiving the unit, there were parts missing, and parts included that weren't for this unit. I called Appliances Warehouse about this and was told to provide the part numbers, and they'll get the parts sent to me. I called Fisher and Paykel, got the part numbers, and then enquired about my serial number. They told me that this unit was sold 2 years ago, and a technician was sent out in December (2 months ago) to inspect the unit, which the sticker on the back confirms. The Fisher and Paykel agent explained that what probably happened (Because they weren't allowed to give me specifics of the history of the serial number) is that the unit was purchased, the customer had a concern, so the unit was returned after being inspected. The company they returned the unit to then on-sold the unit to Appliances Warehouse, who sold it to me, but told me it was never used. How could someone have it for over a year and never use it???? And why would they return/refund the unit after a year unless it had something wrong with it????

I called Appliances Warehouse, told them I had the part numbers, and told them what Fisher and Paykel told me. He told me yes, the unit is refurbished. I referred back to the previous conversation, and the website's sale page for this unit states "Never used". The person from Appliances Warehouse asked why I think I got the unit so cheap and asked if I think they will have never been used if they're a factory second.

Having purchased the unit under false pretences, I insisted on a refund, and the person from Appliances Warehouse refused. I'm currently engaging with financial institutions and the Office of Fair Trading.
