Query Resolved – Had an issue with the product but my query was resolved and I’m satisfied with the outcome. Product is being replaced and am happy with the manufactures response to my query Show details
Excellent First Impression – Arrived today and first impressions are good. Cleaner being constantly moving all the time where as normally it finds its way to a corner and stays there. I have reservations as to how long it will last but i hope it keeps up. Very happy. Show details
Wrong material – If you bought one with the white gears like mine it will fail very early on, they obviously used the wrong plastic for the gears and it goes super soft, almost dissolves, the later ones have yellow gears, obviously a different material. I had mine for quite some time, but the small gear stripped very early on, I chucked in the shed and forgot… Read more
about it, when I found it again I contacted them re. replacement parts, I supplied a copy of my invoice which was undated, turns out I bought it in 2014, they simply told me they have a 12 month warranty, end of story. I would like to know why they didn't do a proper product recall on the unsuitable gear materil ones?
Good at what it does, but not designed to last – Over the 3 years I used this product, I replaced the drive gears twice and the whole unit once. I have to say, that it works perfectly, and always kept my pool cleaner moving. It even made it go into unexplored territory. However, either because of the length of hose or because of the load from the cleaner, it stripped the little drive gears 4… Read more
times.
Maybe in a fiberglass pool, or with a shorter hose, this might not happen.
My advise to the manufacture; you have a great concept, but it was not fit for purpose. The mechanism needs to be able to handle higher torque than what it can with little plastic gears.
Horrible managers – Unpleasant, foul, rude people there. Their managers, too, aren't the best at all. They have a loathsome behaviour. I really never experienced such malevolence. Even slime is more pleasant than this tripe. I wouldn't recommend this tripe of a "business" to anyone. Their products hardly work at all, on top of that.
Worth Buying good value – Installed correctly and with a leaf canister fitted between it and the twister and kreepy krawly, it does what it is required to do. Fitting the larger ring to the kreepy krawly is a big help. It will work it"s way out of corners. You will need to purchase a hose adapter, as fitted to a vacuum hose as some kreepy krwly hoses do not fit one end of… Read more · 1

September 15th 2018 Update: Does what is meant to do with minimal fuss
For the first time since purchased, when I forget , but a long time ago at least 6 six years. I am fitting new gears , which I purchased as a precaution The Cylindrical Leaf Catcher is the secret to the sand problem it not only catches leaves but the sand does not go through the Twister. It screws the Kreepy Krawley out of two lousy corners. The leaf catcher is your safeguard.
Works most of the time – I bought this as my pool has tricky corners for a kreepy krawly typs pool cleaner. Bought my house and the bunnings brand cleaner that the old owner left me was getting stuck at each end where their are stairs. I installed the twister and I can leave the cleaner overnight and it usually stops the cleaner getting stuck. Occasionally I will have… Read more
to untwist it or pool it out of the corner. In summary it improved the performance of of my existing cleaner Inexpensive way to get the most out of my existing cleaner Not 100% effective
Didn't work for me – I bought this product also and it doesn't work. Our pool is 10m x 4m, I laid the hose out the length of the pool before the pump started. The cycle hadn't even finished and the hose was twisted and the kreepy krauley was stuck back in the corner of the pool. I'm waiting now to see what happens when leaves are sucked into the thing. nothing it hasn't done what it is claimed to do.
Kreepy Krauley still getting stuck! – I purchased this about a year ago and to me its a waste of money. My Kreepy Krauley still gets stuck at the deep end of the pool, the hose still wraps around its self. This product does not work. I still have to manually take the Kreepy Krauley to the shallow end and untangle the hose, give it an hour or so and its in the same position in the deep end... It does not do what it is suppose to do.. I could not get a refund so I am stuck with it.
Stopped Kreepy Krauley from getting stuck! – We have continually been frustrated with our Kreepy Krauley Marathon pool cleaner, often getting stuck now for almost 10 years. Whatever we tried from changing hose weight positions and shortening the hose did not work. Almost a year ago we bought an Aquaquip Twister and gave that a try. The Aquaquip Twister is installed in the Kreepy Krauley… Read more · 3
suction hose and the water flow drives a mechanism which slowly rotates the hose. An angled joiner is inserted in the end of the Kreepy Krauley and into the hose. As the hose slowly rotates, it changes the "pull" angle and the Kreepy Krauley changes it's direction and "pulls" towards the hose. The Kreepy Krauley now pulls itself out if it gets stuck. In almost a year now, the only problem we have had is that 2 or 3 times the hose has twisted around itself. I would much rather put up with this than the Kreepy Krauley getting stuck almost every week. The Aquaquip Twister needs to be submerged under water so that it does not suck air. We had to insert a hose weight just after it to make sure that it doesn't float to the surface. Kreepy Krauley no longer gets stuck. We have not seen the pool floor look so clean before. In almost a year, the pool hose has twisted around itself a few times. The plastic is hard and looks brittle and I suspect would crack or break if dropped on the pavers. We do not have many trees around and I wonder if sucking up leaves would jam up the drive mechanism? I am wondering how long the plastic drive components will last due to the pool chemicals? So far there is no sign of deterioration.
