The claim that the Aquaglaze coating will last and is the best product is false. I had my pool redone in 2021 and now in early 2025, the gelcoat surface has failed and is peeling off. Stay away as the warranty is only 2 years and the service to get someone from Aqualine Resurfacing back to look at it is terrible, simply don’t want to know.?

Don't believe what you read on Aquaglaze web site about how long this pool finish will last. In my case started to delaminate after about 2 years. In other words the fibreglass coating has come unstuck & lifted from the concrete pool shell in about twenty places. Quite large areas in some instances ranging from the size of a softball to about 1/2 square metre. The blue gel top coat has also deteriorated to the point where large brown patches are visible. Not sure what type of technical issue has happened here but it looks like the pool is constantly dirty. As stated by other reviews on here & elsewhere don't expect much support from Mr Aquaglaze because they aren't renowned for that, more accustomed to ducking and weaving. The fibreglass coating is a great low maintenance pool surface that looks good but longevity isn't one of its attributes. Do yourself a favour and shop around for something that will last.

Very dissapointing workmanship and ethics – Our concrete epoxy painted pool was installed late 1986. I have since re-painted it myself twice without any problems. Early August 2020 I prepared the pool for re-painting, but, due to my age I decided to get something done that would last longer. Fiberglassing seemed the best option. Their very convincing website {displaying the Master Builders Member logo} influenced my choice to use Aquaglaze. After I was assured the work will be finished well before Xmas and would last at least 15 years, on 22 September, 2020 a deposit was paid and contract signed . Then came a woeful lack of communication. They were absolutely appalling at turning up when they said they would i.e. time frames, start dates etc. The job was frustratingly completed on 22 April 2021. Whilst cleaning the pool on the 31 July 2021 (3 months after completion) a section of the top coat (Gelcoat) became detached. I contacted Aquaglaze who came later to do the repair job. I suggested there was a adhesion problem, to which they replied it must have been a damp spot and should not happen again, how untrue. On 22 January, 2022 another two small pieces became detached. Aquaglaze were informed but I foolishly decided not to pursue it for the time being. These gradually grew in size. I was not happy with the situation, but, this changed much for the worse on 1 August 2024 when a further large piece of Gelcoat became detached. This has continued to grow in size. My pool is now a utter mess, with the Gelcoat missing in many places. Aquaglaze were contacted and without any concern, apologies even an inspection, quickly insisted it's a minor problem and not covered under warranty (2 years minor, 6 years major) They offered to fix it at a cost. I contacted two pool repair companies and was told by both it could not be repaired and the Gelcoat had to be replaced. One company giving me a quote of $8800, a lot of money to fix a "minor problem". I sought advise from the Master Builders Association only to be told Aquaglaze were not a member and had no right using their logo.
