Craig informed me they were available for about $69 but then checked my file and saw that I had purchased the tune up kit within the last 12 months so informed me it was still under warranty and informed me that he would contact Zodiac and arrange for a new controller to be sent to me ASAP. He could have easily sold me a new unit but he went the extra mile which I reckon is absolutely fantastic. Too be honest I think Craigs smart because I wouldnt buy my pool equipment anywhere else !!!!!!

Pool installation went well. The team who operated the cranes and the delivery drivers were all very professional and pleasant. Clearly know their jobs. Our installer, Raf, was fantastic. He knows what he’s doing. He works so hard and gave us some great tips during the process. Billing has been a little bit of an issue. We’ve been charged for variations I am still querying as at no stage of the pool installation were we told there would be extra charges. Also awaiting a credit on our account which hasn’t been deducted. I’m sure that will be sorted. Two concerns - we’ve had multiple warranty claims on the equipment since it was installed which is frustrating and has us feeling a little concerned about ongoing issues in to the future. Time will tell. Also, I’d be very careful about selecting a pool colour from the website which shows pool shell and water colours. Our pool doesn’t reflect the images we viewed online, at all. So we are disappointed we didn’t receive the colour we were expecting. I’d recommend visiting a display to see colours in real life. I’d recommend FPP but would give these tips in advance.

service is fantastic! My pool is always crystal clear and I have 3 children who use it every single day. In summer this is where they bath with a washer and body wash. This saves my bathroom being bombed. I usually only have to add acid to balance the ph once a month. My phosphates are only just above 0 and have gone down from 500 since installing this system 8 months ago. If my pool looks toward green I do a scrub a flock, increase my ions until the water runs clear again and then wash out my filter. I would 100% recommend the bionizer system. Beautiful and fresh.

correct pool shape (step one) then remeasured the pool 4.0 x 6.8mtr (double checked) and included the figures into the system they provide. For some reason I received a cover 400mm short!! The response was "well you should have checked the system to make sure the measurements you provided transferred to your invoice" - " we have delivered the order we received" So look out and double check your order over and over again before paying. I have a real problem with the fact I followed Pool Express's automatic ordering and am now extremely disappointed. Would not recommend this order system at all.

incredible saunas. Tony was the guy who guided me through the whole process, and honestly, he was fantastic. We had a large traditional 6-meter sauna, complete with a huge hot-rock heater and a full-spectrum infrared sauna.

Tony not only helped organise all the materials, but every time we needed advice, he showed up and worked alongside my builders to ensure the outcome was flawless. This is not a review about a single missed appointment or a minor inconvenience. It reflects what I believe to be a fundamental change in how this business operates — particularly in how it treats existing customers.

In October 2025, I contacted Albatross to resolve a pool water chemistry issue. It should have been straightforward. Instead, it extended across the entire summer. Early in the process, a staff member told me he wanted to ensure I could enjoy my "beautiful Albatross pool." That never happened. Over the months that followed, messages went unanswered — at one point, eight consecutive messages without reply. I was passed between staff with no one taking ownership. I was told contact had been made when it hadn't. Emails were selectively responded to, with more difficult questions consistently ignored. The quoting process for a lights installation shifted repeatedly — fixed price, then hourly, then bundled, then unbundled, with additional costs introduced late — and at no point was a clear, itemised explanation provided. At every stage I was the one chasing responses, clarifying scope, questioning pricing, and coordinating scheduling.

The original issue — the water chemistry problem I engaged Albatross to resolve — was never resolved through their involvement. I followed their recommendation and installed a new filter and tablet feeder, on the basis that it would address the problem. It didn't. While that equipment may assist with ongoing management, it was not what was needed to resolve the underlying issue. I ultimately had to investigate the cause myself and undertake a substantial water replacement to fix it.

When I attempted to escalate, I was told that all communication to the owner had to go through a single point of contact — the same person who was already part of the issue. I submitted a formal written complaint and requested it be passed on. It wasn't. I followed up. There was still no response. I then sent a registered letter directly to the owner, [Name Removed], to ensure it reached him.

He didn't respond either.

I had previous direct dealings with [Name Removed] during the original pool build, where he was helpful and professional. The absence of any response here stands in stark contrast to that experience.

The lights work was eventually completed — months after it should have been. Even then, no one contacted me to ask whether the original issue had been resolved or whether I was satisfied with the outcome. After more than a decade as a customer, that is where things stand.

I know what the older reviews are describing. I was one of those customers. I know the business they're talking about — because I used to recommend it.

That business no longer exists.
