Very poor product 2nd died after 1yr – Works well when new however this was the 2nd one we’ve had which lasted just over a year. Don’t waste your money on a poorly made Aquaport product. Show details
Would not buy it agsin – We have been through 2 of these and we only had the first one for just over a year and the one we have just stopped working today and have had that for 3 years. We use it everyday and wish I could afford to buy another one but can’t work 4 kids. Would have hoped it would last longer then it did Show details
Was great when it was new – I have to say the water taste as good as bottled water. I first gave it 5 stars but the cooler/fridge died in a bit over 2 years and a half, I think in investing one is probly not a good idea it did work well for a while, but was a bummer when it died cause its not even worth repairing Show details

Buy the extended Warranty! – We used the sunbeam filter and chiller for years from The Good Guys and it was great when it worked but same deal.. it breaks down after 12 months. Got the extended warranty so easy to swap over when it broke but Sunbeam stopped making them so the Aquaport was my only option. I gave it a go. Well this is my 2nd Aquaport (replaced under warranty)… Read more
but this one only lasted nine months and the new machine has been changed so there are two separate filling spouts, one for cold and one for room temperature. The old model used to have a single piece that joined both spouts together so filling bottles was easy and fast. That’s the biggest issue with the new machine. I don’t mind taking it back as long as I’m still covered by warranty. I just don’t see anyone making a better product if it hasn’t worked thus far which is a shame. The speed of this one and not being bottle friendly is quite annoying but we will soldier on as it’s easier to use than the re-fillable filter jugs for the fridge.
Better than Nothing – I was after a water cooler as the one that I absolutely loved from another brand was not making them anymore. I must have searched high and low for something that could replace my favourite one. I came across the Aquaport and read the reviews which actually threw me off buying. I couldn't find anything so decided to make up my own mind on the… Read more
Aquaport. I bought the Stainless Steel model and prepared everything and it was running perfectly. We like to have cold water on hand and find it so much easier to just put a glass under a tap and pour. It also has a room temperature tap.
After a month we just happened to notice water everywhere all over the benchtop and immediately switched off the Water Chamber. Returned back to Good Guys and they replaced with a new one. All went fine for 8 months when the same thing happened again. Water was leaking out of the bottom. On closer inspection, I found that the tiny plastic drain plug underneath the appliance had snapped it's top so obviously this is where the water was leaking out. Nothing wrong with the machine at all. I noticed that this little clear plastic drain plug is a very thin plastic that would break very easily. They do say when emptying the tank and replacing the filter etc to not put back on and tighten (which I never did anyway).
I rang up Customer Service with my query and they sent me a new drain plug. This one is a very thick and sturdy plug and it really should be the plug that comes with the appliance. On saying that though, it might be the plug that they now put on the machine. I do hope so as I did tell them the clear plastic one was useless.
My views on the machine is that I am liking it. It does take a bit of time washing it out when you get it home and doing the flushing procedure with bicarb soda to then leave overnight or you can let it sit for 4 hours. Personally for me I prefer to do the overnight wait.
The filter will last for about 6 months. There is a timer on the lid that counts down from 180 days after you have set it all up. It doesn't beep to remind you but will start flashing.
Every 2-3 months you do have to disassemble and clean the unit out. We use our unit every day but if you haven't used the water for 3 days, then you will have to discard the water and flush out the unit. If going on holidays for over a week, empty all the water out of the unit but just make sure you leave the filter sitting in a little bit of water. If going for longer, then just replace the filter when you return.
I have had my present unit for nearly a year now and am perfectly happy with it. For us, it is better than nothing.
If you do get this unit and it does have the thin plastic drain plug just be careful putting it in and when you move the unit, don't drag it if possible as I think this would also break the top of the plug. Also ring up Customer Service and you will probably get the thicker drain plug that they sent me.
I found Customer Service very helpful with any queries I had on the machine.
Works great – I purchased this from Bunning's approx 8 months ago, to date I have had no issues other than the electronic clock issue which turned out to be a case of bending the battery contacts a little so the battery actually made contact, this clock counts down the days to help you work out when to replace the filter and the amount of days can be varied by… Read more · 1
the user. The unit has two tanks and the upper one holds the filter which is a screw in type, it is easy to replace and replacements cost between $30 online and approx $40 in Bunning's.
The issues others have had with the lack of flow may be due to them not following the instructions which state to soak the filter for approx 20 min in water before installing ? I have replaced the filter recently and again had no issues, the filters are meant to last approx 6 months on average and after 8 I did not notice any difference in taste but replaced it as suggested. Obtaining them is not as easy as expected as I could only find them on line or at Bunning's, I could not find them in any supermarket or department store.
The chilled water is good and temp is equivalent to keeping it in a fridge, the unit is attractive, does not take up a lot of bench space and is also very quiet. The chilled water comes out slower than the ambient water but it's not really an issue, note it can only produce a certain amount of chilled water per hour (not continuous) but I haven't run out as yet (2 person household)
I did note Bunning's charged about $20 more for this unit than the Good Guys so it may pay to shop around, there is also an "upmarket" version which has a silver or platinum look to it but as the basic white looks good anyway I wouldn't pay the extra for paint.
One thing I did note when dismantling for the filter replacement was that the bottom tank had debris (possibly algae) in it so suggest cleaning out the bottom tank more often than just when replacing the filter alone. This is not debris which made it through the filter but probably the result of the water just sitting around when not in continuous use which may be the result of us not using it everyday ?
Overall it is doing the job I bought it to. Attractive, quiet, works as stated Clock / counter didn't work but not hard to fix, cost and availability of replacement filter

water filter bottle review – Just wanted to find out why the blue light is staying on all the time, otherwise really like our water filter. We like the fact we can have room temperature water and also cold water as well. It is also good when people visit and you can give them a nice glass of filtered water, either room temperature or cold. Show details

Piece of junk – If you want water cooler then DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK, bought in Oct 2020 died in March 22, told by Good Guys it's 566 days and out of warranty paid $300.00 for 18 months of use. Not a quality product and manufactures could care less have receipts of proof of purchase not that anyone cares. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OF THIS JUNK...... Show details
Water tastes worse! – The water tastes even more like chemicals after it was filtered! Expensive product , i flushed with bi carb and flushed with liters of water after and no change to the taste.
HELP! – Where is the Filtered Bottle Timer? It says to push a button to start it counting down 180 days? Is it the tiny button above the blue light? I am just setting it up. Show details

Dribble – So incredibly slow to pour a glass of water. Everything else works ok, water is cool etc but I don't have the patience to stand and watch water dribbling out of a small tap. Rang Breville to see if there was any way of adjusting this and stayed in postion 9 for so long I finally hung up. I think their customer service is much like their watercooler. Show details

Be quicker to walk to shops to buy cold filtered water! – Had the cooler for a week now, running day and night. Honestly doesn’t seem as cold as it was at first, but the real problem, is how slow it pours! I never fill a glass full because I just can’t be bothered to wait so long for it to fill. Honestly a waste of money, at $320, you would think it would at least pour quicker! Show details
2 machines and both have blocked taps only for the cold water nozzle – I have purchased my first machine a year ago and before the year was out, the cold water tap was completely blocked. I had it replaced with another new one and only 5 months into it the same thing is happening. Do these machines have this type of problem? I almost thinking I will ask for my money back and buy a different brand. Does anyone have any thoughts? Show details
Hopeless product -so make sure you buy Product Care! – We are on to our fourth Aquaport bench water chiller in 5 years! I hear you ask the question: "Why persist when you've had continual problems with them?" Well the answer being is that each time we have had Product Care and have been able to use this to buy another in its place. They all seem to give up the ghost just after the 12 month warranty. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of choice in the way of bench top water chillers. Show details
Apuaport deluxe filtered water cooler – I purchased this product to eliminate having two filter jugs, one in the fridge one ambient. product. Thoroughly discussed with the company not responding. I can not recommend this product totally disappointed.
Works well...when it works – This product, when it is new, works very well. Water is surprisingly well chilled, and is dispensed at a decent rate. The cooling fan isn't too noisy, and all is generally good with the world. Until, at around the 12 month mark, the cooling function simply becomes tired of living, and gives up on life. The unit then reverts to being a $200… Read more
benchtop water bucket with a tap attached.
I purchased an extended 3 year warranty on mine, and I'm glad I did, because I'm now onto my 3rd unit.
Support from the manufacturer when contacted (both by myself and the seller, Appliances Online, on my behalf) was a complete wasted of time. They had very little interest in assisting me, and the poor customer service reps I spoke to didn't seem too surprised that the unit had failed.
These units are garbage, and are engineered for catastrophic failure right around the warranty expiry date. Don't waste your money, or if you do, get the extended warranty.
Don’t buy this – This lasted 12 month, then water tap stoped working and I could not find any assistance. So waste of money I am extremely unhappy and upset. You keep asking me to write more, there is no more to say, poor quality water cooler, it should at least be replaced, but I lost my receipt. Show details

worst ever Aquaport we have bought – This is our third & last Aquaport water filter. At approx 15 months old, blue light stared to blink. I googled this model & found this is a common fault. I was told that new owners had bought this company last September with no… Read more
previous records available & this unit has a 12 month warranty. I was advised to change the filter (it was only a few weeks in use) At $35 a filter we were not prepared to spend more money on this unit which initially was well over $250.
Our previous 2 floor standing models had lasted many years & with 4 kids at home in those years, we were more than delighted with this brand. This desktop unit has only been used by the two of us empty nesters, plus this model was so noisy that we turned it off at night and the water chamber was lit by a blue light . It also had a very slow flow. Never ever will buy Aquaport again due to lack of customer service from new owners and/or brand confidence.
We have since bought a Lennox brand off Ebay, less than $100 with additional filters, it was delivered yesterday. Aquaport - you have lost us with your lack of care for after sales POOR service
This product is a dud – I echo previous comments 2 months out of warranty and have to thrown this water cooler out along with the $210 it cost me. Yes previous model was great. It's an utter disgrace that this maker keeps churning out these inferior coolers. Please do not buy instead go and buy bottled water you will save money on power and filters. Show details

Poor service – Interesting to note negative reviews below. I was happy with my previous model, but have had trouble removing the filter from my current model which as noted below was > $250. Service Dept could not help, and Breville say they can only offer me a discount on new one. Some major electrical chains have ceased stocking because of problems. Show details
Poor purchase decision :( – Possibly the worst $200 worth I have ever spent! But my previous Aquaport model was great! In addition, just after the guarantee expired, I got the very common flashing blue light issue. Purchase is NOT… Read more
recommended, as it seems these problems are not yet fixed ! It's reasonably well built internally, and looks like it may be safe electrically. The power supply containing the mains connections looks like a well insulated and sealed switch mode 9V/3A supply. On my unit, it seems like the negative temperature coefficient (NTC) temperature sensing element, buried under the water chamber, or its associated circuitry, is faulty, (I am an electrical engineer - so I have no potential safety issues in disassembling it myself, but DON'T do it if you are not qualified to work on mains equipment.). I might even be able to repair it!
Dont buy one of these! – We bought this bench top water filter/chiller 18 months ago from Good Guys. It worked great and did just what it supposed to.It cost $250.00 for the stainless steel version so you think it would last longer than 18 months. The blue light started flashing and the fridge unit does not work. Theres no remedy for this in the book . Good Guys called Aquaport and they say its stuffed. These machines are a waste to the environment and to your pocket! Show details
Still not sold on this one? – We've always had a counter top water filter and after 2 x Sunbeams blowing up and then obviously being discontinued thought we would try something new. The Aquaport has been doing the job and was relatively cheap, but it's all about the filter at $40 a throw. I'm sitting on the fence for now, $200 isn't a large investment try for yourself? Amazing product and service – Had a filter installed from Aquaport 4 years ago. After 4 years of functioning without a hitch it started to leak. Too expensive and breaks down – Very expensive item Broke down just after 12 months Stops cooling Emailed the company and left a message and no response. Very disappointing. I have checked out other peoples comments and quite a few people say that the machine stopped working after warranty ran out. The filters cost over $30 and the unit alone is almost $200. Terrible!! – Received as a xmas gift to replace old model which was brillant. Lasted 1 day before it leaked water all over kitchen benches, luckily this happened during the day and we were home to find it! Don't buy – Second one that died two months after the warranty expired. Cooler is not working so it's useless.Contacted the company, told there's nothing they can do for bench top coolers, can't be repaired.U=It's really interesting that both died two months after the warranty expired and they're not that cheap.Don't waste your money!
Best one we've had yet – This is our 3rd water filter, the first without a pump, so we're hoping that means a more robust and longer lived product. This is not the kind of filter you fill up and can drink straight away, with no pump you have to let the water filter thru the sand filter, take about 10 mins to fill the tank. But once filled your ready to go. Some issues… Read more · 1
are - Can't fit bottles under the spout, this is made for glasses only, but we just slide it ti the edge of the bench and fill from there. Have tried the cooler function, and it works but it's not a priority for us, we fill our bottles the night before.
Filtered water has almost no taste, so it seems the filter is working as designed.
Great Product – The Picture above is for a different model. Aquaport 24 SS is a 7L stainless steel model which is way much better than its predecessor. electronic goods. we bought our new Aquaport AQP-24s stainless steel version and for past 3 months, its been excellent. Easy to clean, they have removed the problems with the valve and on top of it, there's no noise. It has an option to turn of the inside light at night, so it doesn't attract mossies or anything at night. No problems with mold forming etc.

Got electrocuted!!!! DO NOT BUY – My electrician & the Dr in ER said my husband is lucky we just built a new home & have safety switches otherwise he wouldn't have survived! Don't waste money on this product – Its a worthless product and have no reliability. It takes atleast 2 hours after cleaning the unit to secure the o-ring seal , as the water leaks from the unit. We bought this from Harvey Norman a year ago for $ 200 and after a year of frustration will be throwing this unit in a garbage bin. We had to visit Harvey Norman few times to get it fixed. If you want to waste your money, then definitely go for it.
Totally disappointed! – Bought from Good Guys as we couldn't replace Sunbeam that we had > 3 years. $200 later and many attempts to run the water through the filter (recommended instruction followed) water tasted disgusting!!!! We use filtered water for tea, coffe drinking and cooking, so after several attempts and draining and refilling without success, back it went to Good Guys!! do not recommend this product at all!!
