Aquire Real Estate (Emily Dowell) provided a textbook example of how not to manage a tenancy. Repeated breaches of duty, ignored urgent repairs, falsified reports, and rent issues galore. Formal complaints have been lodged with Consumer Affairs and the BLA. Renters beware — this isn’t property management, it’s property neglect. Approach with extreme caution — especially if you’re a renter expecting basic legal rights.

Appalling real estate - unethical, unresponsive, unprofessional and have attempted theft of bond. property was vacated after numerous attempts to have bond refunded, and are forcing us to Go through VCAT for valid return of our bond. They need to be held anccountable and should not be allowed to hold people’s money, do not deal with this real estate at all costs.

For almost 3 years safety maintenance for electrical, fencing and plumbing ignored to be fixed and had to be done and paid for by tenants with no compensation. Emails ignored in regards to maintenance. Property manager left and no correspondence from Aquire in regards to who we could talk to. Landlord selling property and consistent and ongoing lies from Acquire that the landlord was obtaining an house appraisal for other means. Do not even deserve one star

Do not rent from Aquire – Bad people skills, Dont send receipts when your rent is payed they all ways send out emails saying your rent is late, you can never get a rental reference from them and if your lucky enough to get hold of a property manager there negative to your hard work looking after your property, the property managers have not even seen the property to comment on. Massive staff turnover, Treat there clients like dirt.

extremely high. That speaks volumes. In fact she hung up on me once when I was querying a rental statement. She could not be bothered! Her husband [Name Removed] is just bad. I rang reception 5 times in order for him to return the ladder he took from my property. Unprofessional. DO NOT EVER USE AQUIRE, especially [Name Removed]. answering my calls, responding to my emails or replying to my text messages? We asked for consistency in relation to online photos but they fell short and didn’t understand our requests.

Amazing realestate!!! – Aquire have been amazing from start to finish with our rental. Jess our property manager was approachable, friendly. Always available to take our calls and all maintenance requests were actioned in a timely manner.

Run don't rent from or list with this company – If you want a great response from this mob when listing then no other value after that rude to both you and your tenants poor arrogant communication and inaction then this is the company for you.

maintenance requests. Actually said to me they wouldn’t fix the heater until I moved a couple of boxes on the front porch. Such a traumatic time renting with them. Issued me ‘parking fines’ & added on amounts to my rent. Just awful. Emily dowel is a disgrace. And should be ashamed . The way they treat people. Could never speak to her. Aquire Real Estate, and especially Emily Dowel, have helped turn my property from the disgusting disease infested money pit it was before, into a beautifully well-kept home that actually ends up turning a profit! Heck they even go so far as to actually call me the day the rent is due to give me an update.

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better Rental Agency. Thank you Aquire!

Aquire Realestate, Seaford, vic lied under oath at Vcat – If I could not put a star I wouldn't. This firm started off as Harcourts Franchise in Frankston, damaged the name Harcourts. last 3 yrs. I had her staff which ended up leaving. She would not get onto urgent repairs and lied in vcat under oath. Which did not go down well with me.

I have a payment waiting at the courts for me, which I am now chasing the landlords. I also sent a new lease agreement and after 8 months said they lost it. So I did another and they would not accept it. She told my lawyer at vcat that consumer affairs gave me that I was only now on month to month.

After one year from this they then offered me a contract which I declined. You can not go to anyone else because she is also affective control officer. And dodgy as.

The house was then up for sale and her husband Darren Dowel part (OWNER) with her, offered me by phone, 2x weeks free rent if I stayed to after the house was sold. When I tried to negotiate this he sent me an email that I was only getting 1 x week free rent after sale.

Dealing with him though the Coronavirus, on one open home had NO masks or sanitiser, and was told that it was not provided. He sent people through the property while he stood out on the foot path. Also made arrangements for open home and did not turn up and blamed it on his staff. Also sent me a message on a Saturday that someone was looking over the 6 foot fence. And they approached me working outside to look around the property. He did not give me the correct time that someone asked me to look around the outside as it was selling to put 3x town houses up.

I will never rent a property though these two ever again or the Aqjuire name. And certainly won't buy though them either. Emily tells you what she think you want to hear.

Found reliable tenants and managed professionally – Trying to source and manage tenants myself, unfortunately the tenants did not pay the rent for 6 months, and another tenant did a lot of damage, I handed it over to Aquire who did an amazing job finding great and reliable tenants. very grateful

UNPROFESSIONAL AGENCY – The most unprofessional agency from Emily Dowel to the staff they dont return phone calls or emails and trying to get maintenance done forget it had to go to consumer affairs & VCAT to get non urgent repairs done which after 8 months still havent been done a very horrible experience.

Worst of all is the entitled attitude of agents.

Speaking down to tenants is a disgrace. And that’s all you get if you can manage to get a hold of them. Guess what Aquire rental agents? If you don’t have tenants you don’t have a job. **Prospective tenants of Aquire properties -take lots of clear photos of the properties condition upon beginning tenancy, word up on the tenants union act- you’ll need it, Aquire follow their own rules. vCat is your friend.

Worse Property Manager i have ever seen and met – Emily Dowel should have her credentials taken away from her. She is suppose to be the head Property Manager but far from it.
