Expensive but worth the cost. Useful features, good customer service – A bit surprised to see so many bad reviews. Ours worked well for 5 years except for a bit of mould and a little barely visible rust, which did not cause any problems for us, and a broken knob that Ariston replaced. I rang the Ariston warranty line and was transferred to their service section as the warranty had expired. I asked the service representative whether they could arrange a warranty job as the warranty had only just expired and he said they would.

The repair started to drag on a bit and I suspected that they may be out of parts, and it would be our problem.

However the warranty customer service assistant rang and said they would replace the machine. I wasn't expecting that.

The new machine was an upgrade as the original model was not available. So far the replacement machine is working well.

From our experience, although expensive, our Ariston has been a good machine with useful features and few problems, and when it did start to play up Ariston stepped up to the plate and sorted the problem out

Waste of Money. Will Never Recommend or Buy Again – We purchase both the Washer & Condenser Dryer 3 years ago and I have never had so many problems. door latch, error codes constantly). The seal is so mouldy, I wipe the seals after every wash and leave the door open but it still is so mouldy. I have read many of the review and responses and agree that a washer with such a price tag shouldn't need so much care. I now cant wash my clothes without putting them into wash bags as they are covered in dirt spots. I have cleaned my machine as advised by Ariston and it doesn't help.

The Dryer - Too we have had many claims. They have taken it apart twice and replaced pieces. The latest claim for my dryer is the Belt, it was destroyed. I live in Queensland so I don't use the dryer that often.

My husband and I are now considering purchasing another washer and dryer because we feel that both Harvey Norman and Ariston don't care once they have the purchase.

Great machine with a few draw backs – We have owned this machine for 4 years and its still washing away Design - Machine looks great & fits in our laundry well. As other reviewers have stated, the rotating wash cycle dial did break on our machine (re-placed by Ariston). Also the door seal / gasket has built up mould over time. We are going to replace it and try a few different things to prevent it from happening again.

Function - Easy to use and quiet. Has rarely become unbalanced during a spinning load. It certainly uses less power and water as our last machine. Never had an issue with poor washing results and mostly we use the short wash cycle. In saying that the machine has many washing options. Probably too many for us to handle.

Cost - At the time this machine was priced mid-high range

Overall - Besides a few issues i'm still very happy with this machine. The quiet and water wise operation sells it for me

Great Machine For Us – This has been the best washing machine we have owned and we have had many. We now have 2 adult children in our house plus my wife and I. We have heavy loads and plenty of them and the machine has worked perfectly for almost 2 years. Recently we had a minor fault but the company sent a technician the next day (this was 1 week before Christmas). Fully repaired and operating without missing a wash. Great service.  Show reply

doesnt "shake". As lots of different pre-program settings which is good cause I have a lot of delicates and my husband has a lot of heavy duties. The product is perfect, but the customer service is shocking! DON'T BOTHER CALLING! I wasted almost a month, thinking it was broken. The manual doesn't specify a time like it does in the AQ9L29U manual, only refers to the machine display. So I was suprised that it took 4:41 hours for a cotton wash. I'm use to a top loader, so doing my research, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours. Called several times and was told it takes that long but couldn't give an answer why, only that thats what they were told. I was also told a technitian can go out but will cost me if there is nothing wrong. I went back to Harvey Norman which the lovely assistant went through and showed me the settings and how to use it. Ariston Customer Care was hopeless and wasted my time with there uncertainies. Maybe they should update there training or actually have a go at using their products!

Great machine! didn't pursue the issue much .After another 2 years passed I realised they didn't quite understand where I meant the machine was rusting, as I knew this couldn't be normal. I called and was told to email the customer service supervisor. I wrote an email, included some photos and got an instant reply! Within 1 month I was notified that I would be receiving a brand new model (AQ9F29U.1). It was delivered right to my front door all within 1 month and a half!

I think if you go through the right avenues and explain your issue you'll receive the fantastic service I did! Once again happy with the way the Ariston machine washes, its varied wash cycles including steam function and quiet operation :) My daughter sleeps right next to laundry and never wakes during wash cycles which I run at night!

Just wasted 4 hours waiting for technician – Technician arrived and he was most polite but unfortunately did not have the parts required to fix the washing machine. for any electrical circuit. It has been like that from new and we even had the installer return to check everything a couple of weeks after initial installation. Would certainly not recommend the Ariston brand.

this happened the machine is rendered useless and Ariston will not come to the party. My advise do not spend a lot of money on Ariston products especially for features like steam fresh because as soon as it is out of warranty machine will most likely pack it in.

Very regretful purchase – Paid $1400 for washing machine. Started off well. parts. Waited 2wks with no delivery date from arisit. I then contact arisit Friday and demanded an answer as to when parts would arrive. Meanwhile was driving across town to family member to do washing (all day) Left on hold then told they had the parts and would have them couriered for delivery on Tuesday. I called the repairer to see how long repairs would be and was told the parts were not there yet! They followed this up with arisit and told Wednesday delivery. It remains to be seen. Moral of the story...don't buy Ariston. Rubbish product and after sales service to match.

Disappointed! – Like others, we purchased this model. Started hinting of trouble early on. Also for us, it started quiet and out of the warrantee period, decided to sound like a jet engine of an aeroplane. Bearings went and was left with a machine that was not usable. Now, we have a new problem, it doesn't finish washing. It only gets as far as the wash cycle then makes a humming noise until 10 mins have passed then the FOS error flashes. I have cleaned out the pump and found nothing is blocking it. We paid $1876(NZ) for this thinking a more expensive machine would last us longer than our cheap one we had for almost 10 years.

over 5 years ownership - it was not used excessively - just as you would expect for a family of four - no work clothes, just office ones so not even any heavy duty work.

Really disappointed - this is our third machine in 6 years and we're hoping we would get a lasting product with this one.

lightly soiled clothes thus doesn't do a normal wash and is therefore ineffective. The only good thing about this machine is that it is quiet. I won't buy this brand again nor recommend this machine to anyone.

Very unhappy – There is mould build up around the rubber seal at the door. There is rust forming under the soap dish. Scum build up in the internal door. Extremely loud spin and have tried balancing. another door it had cracked plastic but as it had been a month without a washing machine, I put it on and put up with the fact it wasn't perfect. But wait there's more, there has always been a blackish mould around the seals (we leave the door open after every wash) the door leaks from the bottom of the door, the machine is now stopping mid wash and the straw that has finally broken the camels back it is rusting. We purchased our top of the line washing machine, paid $1600, on the 17th of January 2012 so it hasn't even latest 5 years. I will buy a cheaper machine next time, probably sooner rather than later, because that way I won't get pain of ripping up so much money on an every day appliance, it's only a washing machine you would think that manufacturers would know how to make these by now, after all it's not rocket science.

still going strong (we gave it to my mother) after 20 years and there is not one spot of rust present on it. Flagged it with Harvey Norman a few years ago (so machine was actually only 6 years old when rust first appeared) but it fell on deaf ears with no response and told that 'rust isn't covered in the warranty so nothing could be done about it and that we'd have to live with it'. with the screw and now the paint has come off. Also, its gets mould around the rubber seal. Even though i cleaned filter regulary and most of the time wash in warm temp. I even ran the empty machine in high temp to clean it once in a while. Hardly used bleach / fabric conditioner coz my kids got eczema. I only use front loader friendly detergent. I never called the company coz it went pass warranty eventhough my receipt has shown it has extended warranty for 48 months. So sad that after all the care that i have done that this nice machine will someday go to the bin. It looks like it wont even last for another year. And its gonna cost me another 1000 dollars just to get another one. I am quite disappointed with the product.

no lemon – hi its no Lemon ... year to replace .Mother board. dials .soap dispenser {broken again}, leaks at door ,(unable to stop(,we us a towel on floor to soak up water). now has rust around base of machine caused by continual leaks. and the final straw ! faulty pressure switch. , completely filled bowl and water burst around door seal and flooded our house, All our service calls are documented (luckily)by me and have been forwarded to ARISTON, . only 7 months left on the warranty, .whats next?
