Disappointed Greatly – I have to say that this is not my favourite machine. This is my second 10kg front loader by Ariston and it is WAY SMALLER than our first 10kg machine ( I know all the machines went down in barrel size which was a disappointment to start off with, having 7 people in the house my first machine size was great not only for clothes but for doonas and… Read more
blankets ) and doesn’t wash as much and to no where the standard of my first machine . The Aquiltis I have now I have had for a long while and has rusted in a couple of places, right around the powder dispenser draw area ( some of the rust actually falls into the powder draw ) and around the hole where the door locks in . Just waiting for something to rust enough to fall off . Can’t say I can give much of a rating at all in most areas. Based on this machine alone wouldn’t recommend as poor quality materials used in construction alone has turned my opinion.
Excellent washing machine – This is the best washing machine I’ve ever owned. It’s quiet, it has a light load 30 minutes it great and I wash every day. I have a bnb. Highly recommend Show details
FLAGSHIP MODEL, – We do 5-7 loads a week consistently for 5 years, using top quality non-filler added washing detergent & it worked very well. We tend to buy above average QUALITY/ RELIABILITY and not have to worry about minor issues as such as it gets older which is why we chose their premium flagship model washer in 2013. When we purchased it was very quiet on… Read more · 1
the spin cycle. Then after almost 3 & 1/2 years, the MC started to sound louder and louder on the spin cycle, louder in I mean its noisier than the planes that take off overhead in the inner city ON THE SPIN CYCLE so much so that we have to close the laundry door now and run no higher than a 600rpm spin cycle.
When empty and you move the drum from side to side you can feel that it's a bearing that's starting to wear out. Only time will tell when it goes. So to fix it would've been a $6-700+ outlay.
Anyway, its 1 day to 5 years ago we bought this flagship Premium model MC and at a premium price I must say too from the ever happy to take your hard earned cash money Harvey Norman and no we didn't go for their extended warranty extra dollars that they offer you to pay at the time of purchase.
What gets me is, at the back of the SALES brochure it states 5-year warranty "Total Peace Of Mind" & when you get the machine installed with the paperwork comes a 2-year warranty registration leaflet?
So I rang Ariston service, I spoke to Debbie who is the 2 years plus warranty assistant. She was right in as such that it was a 5-year warranty and that I should supply certain items to prove that it was an issue inside the warranty period.
She ploughed my case for me to the technicians/ manager and low and behold I receive a phone call back a day later stating yes it's under warranty and I'll be receiving a new machine @ F.O.C!
Well, this made my day as I was feeling a bit flat that day and to have this good news was a real pep up and a win.
Thankyou Ariston for your decision and we look forward to the new replacement.
It pays to keep receipts and all paperwork sometimes.
Ariston, in GREEK, Meaning the BEST!
It’s ok – Washes clothes well both with coloured and whites. I love the timer feature and the ability to pause and add more to the load. Runs quietly during washing mode. Can be loud during spin dry due to its high rpm (1400 rpm). Premium brand but rust has developed under the detergent tray. Unfortunately warranty doesn’t cover rust problems which I believe should be included for at least 5 to 7 years. Had this unit since 2014. Show details · 1
This washer was great in the beginning – My machine was great, but within 5yrs it is totally rusted out. Pretty disappointed that this machine has only lasted for the warranty period. Still working but sounds like a jet plane coming into land. I have paid $145.00 for quote, which is $500 to fix bearing which is attached to the drum. Show details
So disappointed! – Bought this machine 5 years ago last week, after much research. This morning the washing machine serviceman told us the part that required replacing would cost $400 - $500 and consequently recommended we purchase a new machine. How disappointing that this machine only lasted 5 years??? Consequently, he was not a fan of this brand and recommended two other brands. Show details
Do not purchase any Ariston product – This is the 2nd machine I have had. The first one taking 6 months to replace after it failed and i have now been waiting 2.5 months for 2nd to be repaired after only 11 months of use. Ariston and their authorised repairs are unhelpful. The worst and expensive mistake ever.

Badly Designed, not worth the money – We have only had our machine just over 2 years now. It needed the main control knob replaced about 6 months ago. It has a very big design fault, the rubber seal around the door has no way of draining water, the only thing you can do is leave door open after use to dry. Which we have done since new, however there is a massive fungal buildup inside… Read more
the seal now, marking all our clothes and sheets. Ariston's answer to this was that we should be using a sponge everytime we use the machine, to dry up the water. I ask you, WHY would anyone pay the most premium price tag, if you need to manually dry the machine??? How's the justification. poor weak design, and companies in the US have had class actions regarding the same type of problems with front loading washers.
We should have just purchased ASKO again when we bought the machines. You aren't going to hear this from a sales rep at Harvey Norman or where they talk you into paying for the product. Literally twice the price. You'd be forgiven for expecting more.

No Problems Here – Well I have had the machine now for 4 years and it has worked faultlessly that's because I keep up the routine maintenance on it, in this time I have moved 4 times and it still going strong and with a disabled child I do washing nearly everyday and no I don't work for them, in conclusion I love it and would be happy to but another when and if the time arises.
Save your money – I have been through 3 Ariston washing machines in 10 years. The last two were just out of warranty when the problems began and it was actually cheaper to buy new rather than have them repaired. With my third I bought the extended warranty (approx 18monthd old) but since this one stopped working i have been without a machine for a month with no… Read more
idea how much longer I need to wait. With 4 children under six you can imagine how much of an inconvenience It is to wait such a long time to have someone come out only to be told parts need to be ordered and then be told the warehouse is out of stock. This will be the last time I buy Ariston (should have learnt my lesson by now!!!) as i have found the quality has gotten progressively worse over the years. The writing rubbed off the front within the first couple of weeks of my last purchase and was told this was my fault as I had Sprayed stain remover on there. Then I had a large crack appear on the door and once again was told this was my fault but after speaking to several repairers I was told that it is actually quite common for these machines. These machines are great when they are working but a headache when something goes wrong with them. As much as i would love to say these are fantastic machines- Save your money put it towards another brand.
AQ9D 49UH Aqualtis – We bought a AQ9D 49UH Aqualtis, It started cracking about 3 month after purchasing it. The cracks run all the way around the top of the machine wear the plastic molding attaches to the machine. It has gotten to the point a chunk of plastic has broken off, we are VERY careful with this machine we do not stack or throw anything on it. Anyway we… Read more
let it go for a while and then decided to contacted the warranties department.
So i sent off email explaining the defect and sent pictures of the defect!
And the reply i received was nonsense, considering we paid $1800.00 dollars for this machine. The reply said "Unfortunately hairline cracks are not covered under warranty. If you require the name of a repairer, please advise and I can let you know the contact. What a joke

Broken Paddles inside drum – All 3 of my paddles broke in my drum all within a week of eachother. My machine is not yet 1 and a half yrs old. Spare parts are not found in Australia and I have been waiting 3 weeks now. Not happy!!!
was good until something went wrong – the bowl assembly went in it, and theres no parts in Australia apparently. I waited 5.5 weeks for parts and still not working properly, now I have to have it taken away again and repaired again. Its not fair on me or my family as all I do is wash, with a 4.5 kg replacement one. But am greatfull for a replacement from the repairer. energy efficient bad warrenty service from Ariston

Bad design and bad warranty service – Bought this machine in March 2013 and the three plastic baffles attached to internal of drum have broken off twice in 14 months of regular usage. The small brackets on baffles are weak and not robust. Loading of machine was not the cause; just bad design. I called the service department on a Friday morning (May 2014) to replace them for the second… Read more
time. They advised that they would call me back in 24 business hours. It has been 3 business days since I called and no one has called me yet. In addition I have also called again to expedite on the second day. Clothes could be damaged by the sharp edges of drum slots if used without the baffles.
Baffles in drum break off every 6 months and non responsive (bad) warranty service. Poor value.

What a piece of junk – I purchased my machine 5.5 months ago. It has been extremely noisey from day one. Absolute lemon - rubber lining is caked in black stinky mould - impossible to remove – This is the first time I have ever reviewed a product but if I can save even one person from wasting their money on this shocking appliance it will have been worth it. that I am tempted to put it out in the council clean-up.
The Harvey Norman salesmen must be getting a huge kickback - as they won't let you look at any other model - in fact talk down the local brands - stating that this "Italian" model is most energy efficient.
This is an absolute lie!!!! The clothes do not come out clean - and the normal cycles run for 2 hours!!!! The only practical cycle is the 30min one - and apart from the clothes feeling damp - they look just as stained as they did when they went in.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE - IT IS BEYOND A LEMON - IT IS A MOULDY LEMON THAT STINKS IN EVERY SENSE!!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LISTED ABOVE

PRODUCT REVIEW – Excellent machine. No issues so far and enjoy its capacity. Have had no issues with baby clothes or delicates either. We are a family of 4 and I put in a wash or two a week. Ariston Repairs – I love my Ariston front loader, that was until it developed a fault at just under 10 months old. I rang Ariston on the 10th Oct and they said they would get a repair service company to call me to make an appointment to come out. I was given the name of the company and their phone number. Ariston then rang me the next day to say they had sent the… Read more
details to another company as the first one doesn't repair Ariston appliances! What do they do go through Yellow Pages? The repair company came on the 15th Oct and said the machine needed a couple of parts and they would order them from Ariston and they should be in Qld, from Melbourne, in 5 to 10 days. It is now the 24th so I rang the repair company to check if they had the parts yet, I was told they had not receive them yet but should get them by Monday. Just to double check, as I am missing my washing machine now, I rang Ariston and the lady there told me the parts had not left Melbourne yet and that they were not ordered by the repairer until the 22nd Oct!! I expect more from a top end company like Ariston and am disappointed that they will sub out the repairs to any company that is near to your address, and in my case to one that has shabby customer service. I remember an advert in the UK for Ariston that said.....Ariston go on and on and on. It should be.... Waiting for an Ariston appliance repair goes on and on and on!! It is a great machine when it is working Needs two new parts at only 10 months old and there is only two of us in the house, so it has not been in constant use.
Good machine – Washing machine is very good It is very quiet, looks good and is efficient Never owned a front loader before and was very surprised how good it is and how it washes with very little amount of water. I would recommend to anyone to buy this front loader washing machine. It's good look and good quality Vibrates a little on spin
A converted top loader lover! – I recently brought this machine walking in the shop being 100% sure that I wanted a top loader. In the end with some persuading from my Fiancé we chose the Ariston front loader and I love it! Wonderful machine that washes the cloths very well and spins them almost dry. My Fiancé has work clothes that are hard to clean (working as a mechanic and… Read more
chef) and always had a smell which the machine has got rid of with the first wash. We save money by setting a timer and letting it run on off peak electricity at night and by using 1/2 the recommended laundry powder which washes amazingly efficient and using more foams up too much. Energy efficient, timer, money saving in many ways, the ability to run quick cycle, spins cloths almost dry, functional settings that care for all different fabrics The manual book is lacking it needs a list of errors and how to fix I had the error F5 and it was not in the manual anywhere after google-ing I cleaned the pump (which was super easy) and a small peice of gravel was in there cleaned it out and it was back to its amazing former glory, a little expensive, a little loud during spin cycle a price I am willing to pay with how well it spins!
Ariston aqualtis washer – We lost our first ariston frontloader washing machine in a fire . when we went to get a replacement we didn't hesitate to get another one the same as the first. great machine, the best would recommend this brand to anyone who asked. just a shame we lost the first one Show reply

Efficiency is brilliant – This is our first front loader, and it is great. The amount of water and detergent we used to go through, and thought was normal will last this machine 10 times longer. The quiet operation of the unit is ideal and other than some noise present on a full speed spin cycle you never know its running. The steam cycle feature is especially handy as… Read more

Very happy with new ariston front loader – Never had a front loader before. Very easy to use with great features such a temperature control, wash time control, ability to open and add extra pieces, built in stand which is great for loading and unloading. Some vibration at high revolutions and noisier than expected at top spin speed. the whole package some noise and vibration at full spin speed.
So far so good – Like others I was "convinced" to buy this machine by staff at Harvey Norman. Have had it for 4 weeks now and so far so good. Washes well, is very easy to follow instructions and has a great range of options for wash cycles. I like the fact that you can customise the wash cycles very easily and its energy efficiency. that it is not quite as quiet as I expected. I have used the duvet cycle to successfully wash doonas and am very happy with how they were cleaned. At this point I would recommend this machine.
UPDATE Aug 2016
While I am still fairly happy with the washing capabilities of this machine ( wool cycle not great - jumpers often come out with completely dry patches where water has not even touched them) I could not be more disappointed to find large sections of rust have developed around the handle of the storage drawer underneath the machine and a small patch around the door frame. Our laundry is very well ventilated, we look after our appliances and have never had rust problems with previous washing machines, both of which lasted 11+ years.
Have contacted Ariston as we have a 5 year warranty and our machine is just 3 years old. Was told there are no replacement drawers available as machine is no longer made. Only when I complained further was I told to contact the manager by email and send photos. 4 days later and still not even the briefest of replies. After reading now of rust problems with other machines I regret this purchase - we paid almost $2000 thinking we were getting a great quality machine and now wish we'd stuck with Fisher and Paykel or Electrolux. So disappointed. Easy to use, washes well, great range of options Not quite as quiet as expected
Happy...so far – I purchased this machine after speaking with a sales consultant at Harvey Norman. It seemed to have everything that I was after. took back the first machine to swap with the second machine.
Luckily, the second machine worked! For the price I paid and being European made, I was expecting better quality! Thankfully the machine I have now is working well and so far, I have had no issues. After reading reviews on here, I am hoping that I don't experience any of those issues! Quiet and cleans clothes well. Lots of different settings. First machine purchased didn't even work!
Rusted out, continual broken paddles and dispenser broken – I have had this machine for 4 years and it was our first front loader. I'm actually really disappointed and probably off to buy a top loader this weekend. Our machine has had about 4 paddles break and be replaced, my husband is very clever and has brought the part online and fitted it for me whenever it breaks. The last broken paddle that was… Read more
replaced two weeks ago is now broken again. My family of four has about 5-7 loads of washing a week, I don't do sneakers or something that would cause the paddles to shear off, the lugs are only plastic against the metal drum so it would seem the metal is cutting it off. I am not strong enough in my hands to replace these, so I would hate to think how much someone who had to get a repairer out would have paid.
The door latch and dispenser area are rusted terribly, (i wish i could show you photos) the detergent dispenser front cover broke within the first two years and the softener dispenser does not work. It has filled with scum that I try to scrub regularly.
This machine was expensive at Harvey Norman and I too was talked into it. I don't think it has been very good value for the four years that I have owned it. Too much plastic that has broken and metal parts should have had heavier duty paint or something.
I rarely use the different cycles, the 30 minute cycle I only use in emergencies and our busy lifestyle combined with the long cycles of this machine 1:35mins-2:25minutes (whites) means I am forever surrounded by washing that has to be dried on inside lines as I do not get home in time to get washing off line before it gets damp. I long for the days where I could get all the washing done on a Friday night and Saturday morning. Easy to load and empty washing into a basket Rust, broken paddles and dispenser

Ariston Aqualtis Washer / Dryer combo – We Bought the Ariston Washer / dryer package in a deal offering $400 cash back from Domayne, about 7 months ago, Our Laundry is small so our options were limited, so a top loader, was out of the question of which meant buying a dryer which had to be placed side by side to the washing machine, as stated abov.. which suited our small space wonderfully, as they are modular being stacked above each other, and they look good too. We did not use the included stacking kit, firstly as we had being waiting for it for 4 months, and were sick of waiting for it ( a Ariston supply issue), when the stacking kit did arrive , we did not use it as we found it was required to drill through the washing machine to secure the stacking kit in place.
So we used a special stacking mat purcased for $20 which is placed in between the washer and the dryer to keep the machines from sliding off each other. However the machines thus far have had no vibration issues when operating, so not an issue as yet.
The machines has performed very well so far the machines have and we are happy. Only thing we are not to pleased about is the low efficiency of the dryer, (of which most dryers are not), In any case we use the dryer only when it is raining. Small, modular, easy to use ,plenty of washing options, Looks good
Great washer but not eliable – The in laws bought one the same time as us 18 months ago. they have had the repairer out twice and once for ours. it does do a great wash and like the options however considering the price its not reliable.
