delicates (he often smiled over that) with the same dedication to cleanliness and solemnity as a monk at prayer. BUT suddenly his lights blinked erratically, seemingly panicked at a world full of detergent overload and then they stopped, his door refusing to open...An emergency which required the plug to be pulled from the wall...the lights stopped...the plug was re-instated... but no lights... no power...no Ari. Love it but! – Everything about this machine was great until now, it sometimes leaks from the door and has a rust spot under the soap dispenser otherwise it meets all the requirements. 6 years and not working – Just hit 6 year mark and won’t move off the rinse cycle manually. Advised by Ariston service that it will cost around $500 to repair as it’s probably computer requiring replacement. What ever happened to a white good reaching the 10 year mark minimum / particularly when you spend over $1500 to buy a Italian made machine. Rust, mold and lucky I had warranty as it could of been a ride off after 10 months – We bought the machine from Harvey Norman Auburn back in 2010. although the instrument has been leaking at the base for the last 3-4 years and as a result we have had increased in rust developing around the base of the instrument. The rust has eaten away around the legs so we now have to support the base for the machine to remain sturdy. There is rust also around the detergent loader, and the rubber seal is all moldy. It does a reasonable job cleaning although it's not as gentle as promised on purchase. We bought the machine on Harvey Normans recommendation that is would be a good machine, so far it has lasted 7 years and still working to a reasonable standard, although the leaking is enough for us to replace with a new one. The price purchased was at $1100.00 although we were expecting at least 15 years of rust, leaks and fungus free. the biggest issue with the machine is that the ongoing water leak has also dampened our laundry and we are now experiencing items such as doors absorbing the water vapour, eventually this will cause mold growing on the wall if not replaced.

get serviced. Had bought extended warranty taking it to 6 years and was fixed just before warranty ended. I mentioned to Ariston serviceman about rust and that the bearings were getting noisy and he said he couldn't see or hear any problems. Noise got worse so 8 months later bearings are shot. Expect more than 7 years out of a machine. Never buy Ariston again or trust Harvey Norman reps.

Love my Ariston! – My Ariston has done two and three loads everyday for past 8 years . I loved it! this morning starter button didn't work . Does it mean that the whole electronic panel may need changing? Is it time to replace it?. Which model would be similar to the AQXXL10 Please??  Show details

this morning the start button wont work! We are a family of 5 and I use my machine daily. Yes this machine gets used a lot, but my previous machine was worked a lot harder. I have always preferred top loader machines and will never ever buy another front loader Ariston.

Great but after 10 years – Piurchased Harvey Norman 2006 have had rusted base problems and mildew too . We have bought paddles twice and today it stops before spin and all lights flash. Over time as become louder. I paid a lot for star rating and expecting to last . I feel it washes well lots of settings and baby lock.  Show details

just died – Love having a front loader for the first time, bought in 2010 and has been great until last night it gave an awful grating sound and then stopped. I'm not sure what is wrong, but can't afford to get it serviced at the moment. I also have an issue with the rubber getting black and it's hard to clean off. Rusting mouldy and not washing clothes – I bought this machine at Harvey Norman on the salesman's recommendation it was a top performing Rolls Royce of washing machines . patches . The rubber seal is moldy despite repeated attempts to clean it . I liked the 30 min quick wash, ability to open machine mid-wash if required and a gentle wool wash ,

Given the rust that's spreading I doubt it is worth the cost of getting a service man to look at it , Very disappointed with this purchase ,

Not bad have had my machine for 10 + years – I have had my Ariston 8kg for 10 + years. It washes well for 6 people, especially restaurant clothing. blockage of some sort. I have had one other machine that has lasted 10+ years so Im happy about the fact that it is lasting this long. Would recommend Ariston because of my experience.

Change another product – It clean and rinse very well but the maintenance of the machine is not economical. Very loud.I'm not happy with the performance of the machine. Rusting – After having the washing machine for while it start to smell (leave the door open) and rusting for while now. It not cheap washing machine so how can it rust. permanent. I leave the door open. I only close when people are using laundry as it is unsightly and unhealthy. The clothes are not clean. Sometimes some even come out dry because the water doesn't distribute evenly. We have not been happy since we got it and sadly cannot recommend This machine to anyone

washing detergents, no detergents, special washing machine cleaners, doing a wash with bleach - no matter what i do our clothes always come out smelling musty.

Under the detergent dispenser it has gone rusty, the paint is bubbling and peeling.

The seal is discoloured and mouldy - despite repeated cleanings regularly.

And recently it started making an awful noise, has been like this for a month or so and today just won't go, starts a load, water fills and then all the lights flash and nothing more, i have turned off at the wall, and tried all sorts but it just won't go any further.

Awful machine, would NEVER buy Ariston again.

Total con man at Harvey Norman - sold this to my mother in law saying it was the very best, he had one at home blah blah blah.

Worthless expensive piece of junk, will be taking to the dump and getting a good old fisher and paykel.

Rust / Mould & Operational Issues – Purchased this machine in 2008 at a considerable cost at the time as it was described to us as the Ferrari version of washing machines by the sales person at Harvey Norman. dispenser, Mould growing on rubber seals despite door being left open after every use and every day until next use. The soap dispenser draw is also always left open after each use to dry appropriately but clearly this hasn't stopped the rust appearing. Its now bubbled (rust) up below the soap dispenser and is getting worse.

Cracking to plastic moulding on top of the machine which happened several years ago and the machine has just gotten louder over time. That's when the machine decides that it will fully work as of late its just entirely cutting out and losing all power mid cycles. So We leave it alone for approx 20 mins and then on a good day you may get a load of washing done.

We are a family of two which have 2- 3 loads of washing per week and yet we find a machine that gets used only once a week would last a lot longer than this machine has.

Sorry but I will never purchase Ariston again. I regret listening to the sales pitch. The previous machine we had for 18 years and we only updated because of water/energy savings. Yes, it was still fully operational. What a mistake!

Rusted out around soap draw – Bought this machine about 8 years ago from Harvey Norman and the soap dispenser started to rust out about 4 years ago. Still worked fine, though now when you open door to take clothes out the rust falls into and onto clean clothes and can stain the whites. is disappointing having issues especially given how expensive they are to buy. I have also found it to leak from the door every now & then plus it has also developed rust on the outer rubber part & black mould on the inside rubber part which I don't understand cause I clean my machine regularly. It also has developed a smell. I would of given this a higher rating if I didn't have the issues I've had.

Rust under soap dispenser – I purchased my washing machine in 2007 and expected it to last at least 10 years. Doggie this CRAP.....!!!!!! – THANKFULLY we included extended warranty on this already expensive machine. The extended warranty for this machine was required on a few occasions. Perfect washing machine – I purchased this washing machine in 2008 from Harvey Norman and it has worked perfectly until now. Once the cycle gets to rinse it isn't working the same, it fills with water and then empties repeatedly and won't progress to spin, so I have to turn off and manually change to spin. Also I have noticed some of the clothes have white streaks on them and don't appear as clean.  Show reply

perfect – I purchased this model in 2008...im still using it..it has never ever played up in any manner...and i use it everyday. Awesome machine..although now only recently ive noticed a rancid...dirty water smell when using it...but i hve never actually washed it out...because its a washing machine right ?... lol...well i do need to run the hot tap… Read more ·  1

My machine has died after only six years! – This machine was sold to me at Harvey Norman Porirua six years ago. stuffed. Completely rusted through, bearings gone, just had it. Challenging thing now is getting Harvey Norman to come to the party and realise that this a very bad brand and I do not want a replacement that cheek of it all they want me to pay half for!

Piece of Junk – I purchased this machine from Harvey Norman mid 2007, I paid approx $1200 plus extended warranty (a lot more than I had intended) and had expected it to last at least 10-12 years. and the rust was falling into the soap dispenser and staining my clothes. After several months of phone calls and letters I eventually had the casing of the machine replaced - the rust returned within 6 months. I have had a lot of trouble with mould in this machine and it smells - I have had front loading washing machines before and never experienced a problem. I keep the door open to air. Spoke to someone about that - apparently its the detergent I am using!!! The machine now sounds like a 747 jet is in my laundry, it is so loud you can hear it two doors up. And after making some general enquiries into fixing this noise, it is cheaper to buy a new machine. I would not recommend Ariston to anyone, they do not care because this machine is discontinued.
