For an upclass Italian unit, I'm very disappointed with the quality of this unit.

Does what it needs to do – Initially the dishwasher would not run as it had a constant warning indicator. Turned out it needed some salt tablets which is required over in some European countries but not in metro Australia. Supplier provided some tablets which will probably outlast the projected life span of the dishwasher. Otherwise no issues that reading the instructions wont overcome.  Show details ·  1

Love my Dishwasher- better than all the others – Cleans beautifully and very easy to clean adjust shelves and fill. Cuttlery basket was only downside and perished after only a year of use. Very very expensive to replace and now need a second. Gosh will have to outlay another $ 50 as the generic one I bought does not fit.  Show details

Brilliant. Quiet. Sparkling clean dishes. Super simple and perfect for a mum like me – I got one of these second hand and all I can say is it's the best I've used. this is crap – I don't have any favourite features. It was fine for about 12 months obviously when it runs out of warranty, since then it wont start, the buttons keep flashing and only works when it wants to no wonder they discontinued it. I will NEVER buy another ariston product and the next salesman that suggest I do, I think he had better start runnung. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!  Show details

Would never buy ariston again – Washed ok, however when just out of warranty the pressure switch and flow meter faulted. (Wash and end lights flashed and would not take in water). would have to pay another inspection fee and any labour if the parts were deemed in warranty. Another repair would mean I've spent more then the dishwasher is worth! Very disappointed!

Never cleaned right from the first wash – I would never buy another Ariston dish washer again. Disappointed from day one. Doesn't finish the wash and only cleans the bottom rack and not that well. Most times the soap dispenser does't open. I usually have to towel dry the dishes and always the knives and folks. Not happy with this dishwasher at all.

Very happy with my dishwasher – I purchased my dishwasher over 5 years ago and it has never let me down. Dishes are always clean and dry. I think it is well designed; it is easy to load and the cutlery basket is still in very good nick. I use my dishwasher every day. Have to admit that I rinse before I load and as I go to ensure machine does not get too clogged up, I also run a rinse through and clean filters regularly.  Show details ·  1

Unreliable – I have really disappointed with this machine. We bought it in 2011 and we soon needed to get the electronics replaced. We've since had it repaired a number of times and I've just given up now. It doesn't do a greater job cleaning. I had to put plates in every second rack so they would come out clean. The stacking system doesn't allow for very efficient packing. I just couldn't recommend an Ariston based on our recent experience.

performance when it was working..I am not too happy about the after sales service though.Hope it gets fixed soon.Customer service said they would ring back,but they haven't yet.2 years is a good warranty period but.

Okay - not overly impressed – Replaced and old Fisher and Paykel with this one when renovated my kitchen and bought all Ariston products based on reviews and 5 year warranty. Can't say overly impressed with this dishwasher for the following reasons : cannot fit wine glasses in properly, cannot put large mugs or glasses on top rack comfortably as if you sit under the lift up… Read more

it will not then close so have to put them in the middle or to the sides of the rack thus taking away space for other items, the cutlery rack is a little frustrating at the start due to the spaces available for cutlery being different to my previous one, also, can't believe they think 2 hours is energy efficient for the "eco cycle". I normally run it over night but 2 hours just seems ridiculous to me so I have started using the Rapid Wash but things don't dry very well on this cycle. Wouldn't recommend this model to anyone.

Cutlery holder is a bit difficult – The dishwasher works fine actually better than fine compared to my last dishwasher. Just find the container for the cutlery a bit difficult if you knives and forks simply don;' fit into the fairly narrow slots provided. Am I able to take that cutlery container apart?

Great Value Excellent Machine – I am absolutely love this machine its is super quiet and very easy to use and cleans dishes wonderfully cleans glasses streak free i would absolutely recommend this machine to everyone i love my Ariston dishwasher

Easy to use – Very happy with this model, previously owned a Bosch (top end model) and this model Ariston is a far better quality clean, the dishes are also dry without marks on glasses. Would definitely recommend this model.

Best dishwasher! – This is just perfect for my family, we have used this daily for about 3 months now and dont see any defects/problems whatsoever. great value, installation is very easy and not so heavy so you can moved location easily when needed. very much happy we choose this product. Good Basic Dishwasher – Just bought this from Harvey Norman. We had an empty spot and having already had Ariston appliances in the kitchen we decided to stay with the name. Having never had a diswasher before we find it does a great job of cleaning just as long as you are reasonable with stacking it. If we were to buy another I would stick with Ariston but probably get one with time display and delay. Cheap, simple and easy to use, No child lock

Best dishwasher ever. Wish I got one sooner – I have had quite a few other brand dishwashers but am suitably impressed by the Ariston brand. I have never had my dishes so clean. The set out inside the dishwasher is very user friendly. Great for small washes and even when you fill to capacity. Haven't had to re wash anything. Inexpensive, efficient and does the job right first time

Do not Buy this machine!!! – Purchased this machine 6 months ago and now have to change my rating from excellent to terrible. controls and apparently that is not covered in the insurance policy. The parts and labour will cost more than what the machine was worth originally to repair. If you decide to go ahead with your purchase I strongly recommend spraying it for roaches before putting in your house!!!! Glassware comes out beautifully clean. Would we buy another one - it would be the first brand we would look at. One point - the advertised bonus goods did not arrive for some time - so they apologised and doubled the advertised amount. Wow.

Fantastic and affordable! – I am very happy with my dishwasher it was a great price and fits a lot. My dishes come out sparkling. It's extremely quiet, the first time I used it I didn't know it was even going. Great product. Much more than I expected for that price ! – I was surprised at how inexpensive this dishwasher is considering how well it works! Its very simple to use and we are very happy with it and its much quieter than our old one. I'll admit I had never heard of the brand before and figured I would only get what I paid for, but have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the clean and dry.

took so long to supply them, Ariston gave us 12 months instead and one bottle of rinse aid. Thank you Ariston Great price ! Dishes come out spakling clean and dry. It takes a long time on daily wash cycle. 1hour 45min but are all clean and dry and so they should.

Great Dishwasher – This dishwasher is fantastic. Not matter how dirty the dishes are they come out sparkling clean first time especially the glasses. Washes 100% better than our previous dishwasher. The adjustable shelves are fantastic. Great for the bigger dishes. Also the filter is easy to remove and clean. Even the kids can do it. The salt and rinse aid indicators are good to remind you when the need to be refilled. Reliable, user friendly.

Good value for money – Very simple to operate, clean dishes well and most importantly does not break the bank. You don't need complicated dishwasher machine- a simple basic dishwasher like this one will do. Brilliant! – Fantastic dishwasher at a great price! No need to select intensive, daily wash works a treat and leaves my dishes looking pristine even pans with baked on food. Mother of a Machine – Not even a year old and we are getting our second motherboard installed (still under warranty thank goodness). They sent up a new motherboard to the repairman today and it is also faulty so he has to send away for another one. Repairman going on holidays for a month from tomorrow. Not happy Jan! Great product at low price – i bought the LBF51 because it was cheap. didnt think it would be any where near as good it is, but was very supprised and happy. even pots and pans come out clean and dry. why pay 2 or 3 times the price when the LBF51 machine is so good. Great Product – We have just replaced our old Ariston dishwasher with a new one. The old one gave us excellent service for around 9 years and this prompted us to consider another Ariston as a replacement. We purchased the LBF 51. It is at the entry level and does not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive models but we only wanted a machine that washes dishes and this is doing this well. Would buy again. Price. Functionality.

To say that our fears were unfounded would be an understatement.

The LBF 51 is so reasonably priced yet offers every function we wanted, with a remarkable ease of operation. And is so quiet!

But you know the best thing about the LBF 51. My wife is happy!! Ease of operation is excellent. The rack is much better and enables packing of plates e.t.c. much better than most machines I have seen. The best thing about the LBF 51 is how quiet it is when in full operation.

budget had been bigger) you really are going to be hard pressed to find better value (new or second hand).

If you are not familiar with the brand, it goes by 'Hot Point' in the UK and is pretty well received over there. Being euro in origin, it has something to deal with hard-water for all you crow-eaters (south aussies). It is also our second Ariston appliance (after purchasing one of their washing machines a couple of years ago), so we had confidence in the brand.

Basically there is not much to review other than to note it does not cause any problems, and simply washes the dishes really well. It doesn't leak or suffer any of the other problems reported by some other brands. You basically just dump some powder in it, close the door and walk away. Too easy. It's nice when things just work. We've not really 'pushed' the machines capability (baked on cheese or anything like that) but it handles daily plates, bowls and cutlery with aplomb. One thing that is a bit annoying is the top tray's glass placement options are a bit limited, but you get around that. Having said that, the upper tray can be lowered for glasses with taller stems.

And finally that brings me to the price. Anything under $600 that works this well, comes with a full 2 year warranty and allows you to not think about it again (we are talking washing dishes after all) get full praise in my book. Looks like value is now spelt A-R-I-S-T-O-N. Does what it says on the can, namely washes dishes. No frills dishwashing, but crucially it ACTUALLY WORKS. It cleans really well and dries okay, is relatively quiet and the daily cycle doesn't take too long. You could find fault with the fact that it's not the largest dishwasher, or that the upper tray water spray pipe is part of the tray itself (so you just need to make sure the tray is closed properly), but honestly, at this price that may be a touch unfair.
