My dishwasher is not drying, it is skipping past it. The dry light no longer comes on, why?

Hi Bcamp, here are a few reasons why your dishwasher is not drying: • A wash cycle without a drying programme has been selected. • The rinse aid has been used up. (See Refined salt and rinse aid section of user manual)
• The rinse aid dispenser setting is not suitable.
• The crockery is made from non-stick material or plastic; the presence of water drops is normal.

Although we added salt and rinse liquid the salt and rinse aid button keeps flashing and he the cycle stops midway leaving used water in the bottom. What should we do?

I have had the LFB 5M019 for over 12 months and it worked fine......
The last time I used it, on the last cycle the water will not drain from bottom of dishwasher.
The DRYING indicator light is ORANGE.
The ON/OFF button is constantly flashing and the
SALT and RINSE AID lights are both flashing orange. I put more salt and rinse aid in but did nothing. Any ideas?

Hello we have just purchased this, do I need to add the refined salt? have never heard of this also what dishwasher product do you recommend? Have never had a dishwasher before.
Hi Renee, you only need to use salt if you have hard water i.e. water you cannot drink from the tap. Even if you have clean water, the salt indicator will still appear as Ariston dishwashers are manufactured in Europe where salt is often required. Can you pls tell me how long it takes to run on a short cycle, normal cycle and long cycle?
I almost always use the normal cycle
I turn it on before I go to bed so I think it's around 35 mins. Doesn't seem to take long and so quiet I haven't taken much notice.

We were going to buy the LFB5M019 model Ariston Dishwasher because it has a salt dispenser for hard water, but both reviews on ProductReview are negative without mentioning any positive aspects, so now we don't know which dishwasher to buy. Harvey Norman told us that only Ariston Dishwashers have salt dispensers. Is this true? Does anyone use this model dishwasher with hard water? If so, how does it perform with hard water other than leaving items wet and having a short drain hose?
Lots of brands have salt dispensers. Harvey Norman not being truthful, they try to push this brand on people very hard. Suggest a more honest supplier.
I use the salt in my machine which I’ve had for about 4 years & ive never had any issues with my machine whatsoever!
