Awesome Cooktop – A fantastic cooktop, is extremely well designed to fit large pots / frying pans on at the same time. The rapid burner also works extremely well for quickly boiler water etc. Would have rated 5 however have dropped a star due to an intermittent burner lighting problem which can be frustrating at times.

Right size for simultaneous use of a wok and pot – After much searching, i found this ariston cooktop which fits into a cutout that was originally made for a 60cm cooktop. The other requirement was that it needed to allow the use of a wok and a large pot simultaneously, as many of the 60cm cooktops i looked at would not accommodate this. Some of the larger five burner designs where the wok burner… Read more

is in the centre tend to render the other burners useless when using the wok as there is not enough space to accommodate a large pot.

In terms of use, i have no complaints as i can be frying with the wok while boiling a soup or simmering another dish at the same time. The layout is good and burners are easily adjustable to give the right amount of heat. The trivets also allow for easy moving of heavy pots from one burner to another by sliding rather than having to lift it.

If there is one complaint that i have, it is that the stainless steel surface scratches way too easily for my liking. I was wiping off some spilt food off the surface and when i swiped across the grain (lightly), this resulted in an immediate scratch on the surface. can use a wok and a pot simultaneously on the two end burners. stainless steel surface scratches too easily.

Newly converted – After many years of being unsure of getting a gas cook top my husband finally convinced me when it came time to replace our older models. Speaking with many retailers in our local area, the young assistant, at our local Harvey Norman was very knowledgeable and spoke so highly of this model and went thru all the advantages with me in store that I… Read more

was convinced. I have not been disappointed and am now back to cooking home cooked meals as often as I can. We purchased an Ariston Electric oven at the same time and just love the ease and convenience of having one oven that can be split in two to cook at different temperatures. The five year guarantee is a real bonus as most other brands do not offer anywhere this same amount. Quickness of the heat after using an electric cook top is very energy efficient.

Can't live without it – For many years i have lived with a glass stove cook top now that i have gas i can cook in half the time. When i cook in my new ariston oven the cakes come out looking like the picture in the recipe book. I love it and i should have bought one earlier Cooks in half the time

Excellent – I love this cooktop. I changed a few weeks ago from a top-line Scholtes which didn't have a wok burner and was concerned that this would not be of the same quality. I've been cooking on gas for over 35 years and this cooktop is as good as the best of them. I love the power of the big burners but you can still get a very slow cook if you want to. I… Read more

was worried about cleaning after reading the other review but it's easy to clean and looks great if gently wiped over with teatowel after cleaning. Overall, this is a very versatile and well-designed cooktop which is well laid out to provide maximum space for multiple big pans, despite being of fairly modest dimensions. A lot of thought has gone into the design and I'm very pleased with it. excellent range of burner strengths; wonderful power on double wok burner; other wok burner also very good; good low heat burners too; easy to clean. burners take a little while to stay on when ignited - have to hold button down for up to 10 seconds (not a big deal really)
