Request – Want to buy a gas cooktop - dimensions 86cm x 37cm Any recommendations?

Amazing cooktop, so much space! – A great cooktop with loads of space. No longer do I have pots and pans fighting each other to stay on the cooktop. I want to give this 6 stars! – This cooktop is fantastic. A great choice between 60cm and 90cm. The five burners give great variety of heat levels for all cooking. The wok burner is out on its own so doesn't clash with other burners. It has a flame failure so if a burner is turned on but not lit the gas does not come out. Mixed review – I very carefully selected this cooktop for many of the reasons below, and I have had a mixed experience with it. The good things are: -The trivetts are very sturdy and pots and pans are very sturdy on them. with plenty of room between pots, and the large burners at the back. This is a plus if you have young kids since you can place large boiling pots toward the back

-it is quite easy to clean

The main negative has been that the carcass of the cooktop seems to sag easily. This means that your pots and frypans are on a slight slope towards the middle of the cooktop. Not good for even frying. Electrolux has already replaced this for me under warranty once, and it is starting to sag again. There is about a 4mm height difference between the outside edges and the centre.

The other (small) negative is that it has aluminium (rather than brass) burners. Obviously for cost saving, but one wonders how much cost is actually saved by such a material choice.

All up, it would be a pretty good cooktop if it didn't sag.

Powerful burners, easy to use – We decided to stay with the present cut-out size, as it was proving very difficult to get it enlarged, so that meant staying with Electrolux. electronic ignition is much faster than the old unit so it lights quickly with no fuss or noise.

The burners are all much more powerful than we had before, and it looks like a really useful appliance.

The only drawback is the very heavy trivets, making cleaning a bit more of an effort.

Apart from that, we are very pleased with it.

Very stylish and well laid out – Big improvement on the old stove and it get's pans up to temperature noticeably quicker. The placement of the big wok burner on the left is much more practical than most, as it means a big pan don't crowd all the other burners around it (like my old one did). I'm worried about how they'll wear over time. There's nothing special about this versus other stoves (it's much of a muchness), very happy and it matches all the other Electrolux appliances in the kitchen.
