Hate this cook top with a passion!! – I've had this cook top for about 4 months and HATE IT!! Note to myself "just because it's a good brand doesn't mean it's a good product!" One of the numerous issues is the burner sizes and positions on this cook top it has only 1 burner for a large pot so if you are boiling rice in a large saucepan and stir frying in a large wok it is not possible to get consistent heat on both as only one burner is large. I often play musical sauce pans which is a hazard with boiling water especially. Mine has a black glass top which I thought would be easy to clean. NOT!
Yes these are problems I should have seen when purchasing so I have learnt a very expensive lesson! I also CAN NOT no matter how low I adjust the flame produce a simmer in a saucepan. Just to add to my frustration the "rubber ring" surrounding my aforementioned large burner has decided to leave the party and come apart and just hang on it's own over the glass. The 2 smaller burners at top and bottom of cook top hardly ever get used so I've basically bought an annoying 2 burner cook top for $1197. I so miss my 20 year old cook top...
Thanks Ariston! Good marketing but you have lost a customer for life and I will spread the word!! Buyers beware!!

Waste of Money – I own the product for a year. The heat of the flame decreased, now it takes forever to cook anything. The shape will not allow to place more than two pots at the same time. It's difficult to clean. The cooktop was installed by a professional installer (as this was the feedback for the previous review).
Terrible! Takes forever to heat up..not worth the price! – We bought and installed this gas cooktop a couple of months ago and have been incredibly disappointed. It takes forever to heat up a pot enough to boil water and stir fry is an absolute no go. The only burner worth using is the large one. Considering the cost, would have expected much more in the way of performance. In fact, the 25 year old gas cooktop that we replaced was better than this one by a long shot! An email sent to Ariston customer service has gone unanswered so that's also been disappointing. Would definitely not recommend anyone buy this cooktop!

Hi Ariston team, thank you for following up. I received a call from customer care the day you posted your reply and was thrilled when they confirmed sending someone out the next day to have a look at our cooktop. My happiness ended there though when the repairer checked our unit and said, "Yeah, that's about as good as it gets." Not good enough, so unfortunately for me and everyone else that was duped into paying so much for a terrible cooktop, this review stands at one star (none if I could give them). To think that the ancient gas cooktop we replaced was far far better than this one despite Ariston's claims that theirs are "20% Faster and more efficient than standard burners". Also note to people thinking of buying this unit -- it's currently retailing at Harvey Norman for $1299...trust me! Save yourself some serious coin and buy a different brand at probably much less but much better performance!
