Public Holiday Surcharge – Went to the Arkaba Hotel on NYE. Was in the front bar about 7.30 pm and ordered 2 Hard Solo drinks which came to $29.90. I thought this excessive and queried the price. Bar staff said because of public holiday there is a 10% surcharge. I mentioned that it wasn't a public holiday until the following day. The reply was that the surcharge came into effect from 7pm on NYE. If that's not greed then I don't know what is. Dissatisfied.
