Appalling clothing. Shapeless, sizing all wrong. No clothing tags. Immediate return of items- nothing. No refunds. The biggest scamming- dishonest and 100% fraudulent. Constant communication- waste of time. All photos and emails available as evidence.

Follow-up  · They kept saying I could reorder new sizes; material quality was very poor- very cheap compared with advertised pictures used. No tags on garments. No care instructions or other expected information. After many many emails and constant complaints-they suddenly turned up again in the mail. All returned to me in a bundle. Didn’t bother opening it. I got in touch immediately again- no reply, no response. No refund. - but all emails and postage and pics available for evidence.

I'm posting this to alert everyone who has been cheated by the Arthur Sydney, aka David Wellington Taylor-sydney : davidwellingtonnz & gemlibourne 'shop fronts' and I also found the same clothes on shopify - under smithandco-london...what scammers! I realised something was off when the 'immediate shipment' email came in and emailed back to cancel with the reply of 'no cancellation' which is not usual business practice. Realising this is a drop ship setup operating out of UK but shipping from China, I contacted my credit card company and the bank refunded me immediately, while the goods are still in transit! If they do turn up, it will be me stating to them, if you want your goods back, send a post free return label, and by the way, you'll be responsible for any taxes and duties or damage from shipping..I am relishing the moment! Get onto your credit card company to dispute unauthorised transaction or refusal to refund for false advertising.

Follow-up  · As a follow-up to my original post, the goods took 12 days to arrive, with the local courier's label stuck OVER the original shipment label (preventing a return to sender - I was not going to open the package and do a return to sender) - never seen that before, so presume it was the merchant's instruction. Merchant ignored my emails about their false and misleading ads, but emailed me a return shipment instruction at my cost (illegal in Australia when goods are faulty, do not meet advertised standard etc), with almost threatening statements of "you'll be liable for any taxes or duties" and "goods may be damaged in transit for which you'll be responsible" et al...obviously to make me nervous about returning the goods. On checking the 4 items I bought, 2 were poorly made with uneven stitching and lining protruding, and made of polyester (their ads state 'high quality' fabric), a 'cashmere' cardigan was unlabelled (illegal in Australia) and definitely not cashmere, probably polyester. Fourth item was colour mismatched to the ad and also polyester, again was advertised as 'high quality'. On further research I found all these EXACT items on Temu (same photos too - see attached pics) and half or less than Arthur-Sydney charged. I also found more of these 'boutique' stores, serving the 'local' community, with David-Toronto and Lilly-Melbourne all with the sad message from [Name Removed] and family. I have reported all this information to my credit card company asking for intervention and removal as a merchant from mastercard services. They are criminals and deserve police action. My initial credit card claim was refuted by merchant, but I disputed that with further evidence of misleading and illegal practices, and fees have again been refunded. This is a highly organised criminal group with phone numbers in the Netherlands, banking in the U.K. and drop shipping from China. On top of that they are using Temu's photos more than likely without permission. I have attached the four items I bought but taken from Temu.

Please do not buy from this company. Much like all the reviews on quite a few review sites, the products advertised do not match the delivered purchased items. I brought an advertised 'cashmere sweater, but got a cheap polyester sweater with no label. My efforts to return and get a refund have been meet with a barrage of lengthy emails (24 and still counting) offering me further discounts to purchase more products or to pay for the shipping of the returned item which will be handled by them (and may be damaged in the process- their words). My gosh what a pickle! Clearly l have lost $80. But I'm still trying to get my money back. Good luck with that!

I ordered a jacket from their website which was described as being made from "genuine leather". Alarm bells started when PayPal reported my payment to an overseas company with a Chinese name, and when the jacket was delivered my fears were confirmed. It is made from 100% synthetic material, probably vinyl. I contacted their Customer Service "team" and exchanged a few emails with Emma. Despite my pointing out that they had deliberately misrepresented their product, they did not offer me the opportunity for a return & refund.

I would advise avoiding this company.
