An attractive seat with lousy medium term issues – I've had this chair for quite a while now (2 years) and it's only after a long period you get to see what issues develop. It WAS comfortable and sturdy when I first got it. The leather is nice and the padding on the arms is good. The recline and lift mechanisms are smooth still so no issues there. The extra pads for neck and lower back which you strap on are likewise appreciated and when you sit back to be part of a long zoom, all good.

However... the seating after 18 months is now as hard as the desk I sit at and the chair arms which I perch my forearms.. flop to the side and cannot be tightened. I tried re-tightening the bolts but found that the hard plastic itself around the screws is just being munged by weight on the arms. To tighten them any more would crush the sockets of both arms so i'm stuck with attempting a repair of some kind.

The wheels are the cheapest form of roller wheel possible. Just lousy. This thing on carpet didn't work. I had to get off the chair and place it where I wanted rather than try and push myself around on it. When we changed carpet for a wooden floor I didn't dare try and use these cheap plastic wheels on it as they would simply have slid-dragged rather than rolled. So, best thing to do is get a new set of rubber (roller blade like) wheels which fit in the same sockets. This chair should have come with them or at least the OPTION of putting them on. I would have paid the extra $20 for them (which is all I paid for these new awesome wheels) which protect the floor.
