We have been having problem with the panel board six months after the machine was installed. The Tech support team is very good. They came regularly and fixed it around 3 times and now the warranty has expired and they are charging around $500 for replacing the panel. We were ASKO lovers, I think this is a faulty model. The other model that we had for 10 years was great. Never serviced even once. But the control buttons were outside.

Power switch not working. Installed four years ago by the builder. The customer service in WI is not available anymore, have called them before some other issues with the same dishwasher. What are my options? I have been very disappointed with this dishwasher.

Have had our Asko D5646 for a couple of years and it has served us well. Recently we have an issue where the touch buttons will not respond to touch. There appears to be slight condensation inside the buttons which we can't seem to get rid of - this is despite being over 24hrs since the last wash. The panel has been repaired once already under warranty . Now we seem to have the same issue again What can I do to fix this?

I have the same issue few days ago and opened up the front panel and used hair dryer to blow dry . It’s back to normal now.

Hello All, my local Asko retailer is selling the obsolete floor model with the third rack. I’m reading poor reviews on this model - actually, on Asko, in general. May I ask what you paid retail?

Thanks for answering. I hadn’t heard back from anyone, so I went ahead and bought it at $800+ tax and install (full warranty). It is replacing a Miele (dealer said 3 months wait for Miele, since a container shipment was stalled in NJ due to Covid-related bureaucracy?). The door hinge of the new Asko must be slightly lower, as the installer had to shave an 1/8” off the top of the baseboard. Not noticeable tho. The screw holes in the board don’t line up with the Miele, so baseboard is floating unattached. It’s fine.

The machine has been performing 8/10, the same marks I would give my Miele when it was new. Dishes come out slightly gritty, no matter how the machine is loaded. No mechanical panel errors so far. Fingers crossed. I hated the Miele, FWIW. Same issues with mechanical errors. But went with with asko bc I thought it would install into my cabs like the Miele. And cheap floor model. We’re selling the house within the year.

The power on/off doesn’t work. The only way I can power on the appliance is if I unplug it from the outlet and re-plug in. Then I can press start And it runs. The appliance is only about 2 years old. What’s wrong with power button?

Any answers to this? Ours has the same problem. Now beeping erratically while it runs through the cycle, with no error code, which makes me wonder if there is an elf living in the machine sending us morse code messages? Should I try and rescue him?

Hi, my asking is starting and then about half way through it starts beeping. When I go to look, it’s running through the delayed start times over and over. Then it just stops and cycle is incomplete.

Dale

Hello, sounds like the control circuit board is damp causing the system to short cycle and operate erratic. Try unplugging for a couple of days to dry out and check again?

My Asko D5644 model is displaying an F10 error... however, the touch pad is not letting me reset it. I have had issues with this touch pad for some weeks now. It has been displaying a lock symbol, and i have been unable to clear it. The start/stop button has also not worked, but others such as the program button did, until today? can anyone suggest a fix? Thank you

Dale
Dale

Hey, you can try giving it a hard reset by unplugging the unit for an hour or so, the keypads on these units are prone to failing because of moisture. These are a troubled unit and before you spend too much money consider if replacing it with another Dishwasher that has a better warranty, I recently threw ours out and replaced it with a different brand and have no issues at all plus it had a longer warranty.

Tricia V.

my asko dish washer says S:01 in the display and it won't turn on but the light is working on the inside so it has power. Any ideas?

Max
Max

Unfortunately I do not have the answer but may I suggest that you call out a technician as the machine is too expensive just to throw out. We had a 14 error code in that it would not drain the water so I went on YouTube and I ended up buying a replacement part that was suggested. After the long wait on delivery, still the same problem.

We then called a technician and he just pushed a few buttons and problem fixed. Easiest $165 that he ever earned I'm sure

Dale
Dale

Sorry I have never had that fault, I had enough with our machine and threw it out, yes it was expensive but in my case it was an expensive unit that was faulty more times then it was operational. Call a helpline or a technician or try unplugging for a couple of hours for a hard reset.

Amanda M.

Same issue called customer care and they said they can’t help me as they don’t have a record of this code. Did anyone get an answer to this issue?

Landon M.
Landon M.

Same issue here. DBI675XXLS. Displays an S:01 after being powered up since a power outage downtown. Have reset breaker, removed mainboard, played around testing each sensor and motor lead back to the board to see if it could trip any other codes. Only the door switch being opened or disconnected would result in S:03 instead of S:01 being displayed. Asko will not provide any assistance on the definition of code as they only provide support to technicians.

Technician has replaced the main interface board twice before as well as the LED indicator board twice in the past, all three of those 'dead' interface boards display the same S:01 now, which we have never seen before.

Other threads online look like the main control board in the bottom of the machine may be faulty but I'm unable to confirm. It's a $365 part I don't really want to take a gamble on since this machine breaks down completely every 6 months and is honestly ready for the landfill after 3 years of unreliability. Confirming this is the part would be another few weeks and at least another $250 from an Asko repair person, which certainly is worth just buying a different machine.

That said, if there's a blown solenoid or capacitor on the board that is causing this, I would pay to fix it.

Following up on what solved the S:01 would be helpful Michelle.

Landon M.
Landon M.

Check the overflow/leak float switch. Board was fine. I started pulling sensors and the float seemed jammed or stuck in the bottom of the pan. Pulled it out and confirmed it wasn't tripped and reconnected the board.

Machine started what seemed to be a cycle with the display cycling through 8:01, 8:02, etc up to 8:11. Wouldn't respond to turning off, so I disconnected power and it wouldn't come back on even illuminate the display with the S:01 error.

Tried holding down the power button while disconnecting the power and plugging it back in, machine showed an Asko welcome message with initial setup screen. Went through the prompts and it has been working perfectly for a week now.

Our dishwasher is 12 months old and lately the on switch won’t work. The only way to turn it on is to turn it off, then on again at the power point. I notice the warranty doesn’t cover “power supply”. Does this include the problem I’ve outlined? Am I likely to have it fixed under warranty? Thanks for your help.

James
James

Yes. You better call Asko ASAP and declare the issue. This is a very common known issue with them. They will send an electrician to your house to replace the board. However, I believe that you will experience this issue in its lifetime as what we have. This issue is happening because of a malfunction with the board whenever the moisture from the inner space or external environment make the board thinking there is too much moisture then it will get into malfunction mode itself. It is not funny with Asko at all. Cheers. James

Dale
Dale

Yes 100% call Asko and advise them of the issue, they may say this is because of a power supply issue, with the constant issue they have had with the boards on these models so I hope they will man up. The moisture infiltrating the boards is always going to cause them to fail. Good luck.

Hi. The start/stop touch button on our dishwasher keeps not working. It's happened on a number of occasions. We can get it to go again by pure luck by pulling the front of the dishwasher off and wiggling some of the leads going to the control panel. Does anyone know if this is replacable/fixable? It's getting beyond the joke, happening way too often. Other than this happening, I love this dishwasher. Thanks.

According to the parts manual the start button is a replaceable item. Like all those micro 'soft touch' buttons they are prone to having the internal mechanism flattened by extended use.

CJS

Yes, this is a replaceable part. ASKO will replace outside of warrantee but it will cost! If inside warrantee...lucky you. I will never touch an ASKO product again.

I need to access the soap dispensing mechanism in a D5644 XXL dishwasher. I assume I need to remove the outer door cover to expose the soap dispenser. Are there any instructions/diagrams/videos of how to remove the outer door cover and examine the soap dispenser, possibly even replace it? Thanks Bob

I no tech expert. But I would suggest that the whole touchpad unit sill need replacing. You should contact ASKO and demand a replacement. I'm going to the ACCC to lodge a complaint because the product has never lived up to any consumer guarantee standards.

My dishwasher D5644 is beeping a couple of short beeps every minute or so, when it is not going. How do I stop it?

I can't find any reference in the manual.

I don't appear to have SS or SSXXL on my dishwasher.

I wish I could help you but I have no idea myself. It's very frustrating. I have called the 800# and they weren't helpful. I unfortunately just have to shut my whole dishwasher off via the power breaker. It's a nightmare. Sorry about your troubles. I think it's just a glitch with this specific dishwasher. It seems like the more expensive and high tech an appliance is, the more problems you tend to have. : (

Hi, I have an asco d3122 which was installed in the house I bought. The top rack rolls out every time you open the door, and is extremely annoying as when you want to stack the bottom level. You have to use one hand to stop it from rolling out. Is it missing a couple of stoppers, is the angle wrong??? Can anyone assist me.

Asko
Asko   DM

Hi Ally, It sounds like the dishwasher was not installed correctly so it is on an angle causing the rack to roll out when open. The feet may need to be adjusted or the screws may not be secured in the cabinetry. If you would like to have one of our technicians take a look please call 1300 00 2756 or email me direct on feedbac@asko.com.au

Recently moved into a new house with the Asko D5644 - generally happy with it but of late we are having a lot of issues with grit/food residue, both top and bottom shelves. Bowls and cups are the worst culprits, but not every item in a load will have the residue, nor is the location consistent. Filters are cleaned regularly, hasn't made a difference. Have also tried different wash settings, that hasn't worked either.

Any ideas on a fix?

Asko
Asko   DM

Hi David, It may be the spray arms that have a slight blockage and will need to be cleaned. I would advise to remove and clean them, then run the dishwasher on the hottest cycle (pots and pans program) without dishes to clean out the pipes as well. If you need any assistance, please feel free to email me feedback@asko.com.au or call 1300 00 2756.

My dishwasher was doing the same thing and it had me stumped. I realised I hadn't checked the holes in the spray arms where the water comes out. I just had a tiny bit of food in one hole and that was enough to get the residue. Hope this helps.
