this one would have to be the worst on the market regarding quality.

Knobs discolour within months, cooktop burners base plates are screwed to the stainless top which in my opinion causes the stainless steel to get extremely hot and discolour and burn anything that touches it. It actually makes my stone benchtop next to it get too hot to touch could only imagine what it would do to laminate (fire hazard)

The iron pan grates are sectional which is ok however the little rubbers in the corners are not protective to the stainless causing scratches in the corners from everyday use - honestly my cooktop looks like it is 10 years old and it's only 18 months old do yourselves a favour and buy something else

Buyer Beware – I purchased an Asko HG1654S. From the 1st time I used it it started to look tarnish (this is a stainless steel model)then dark spots to started to appear. I need to use Oven Cleaner to clean the cooktop and remove dark marks.I said the cleaning instructions on their pamphlet say to use warm soapy water and I was then told that that won't remove those marks. Nothing has been spilt on this cooktop but it looks terrible. I could have purchased a cheaper cooktop however the 5 year warranty sounded good. Ha! 5 year warranty isn't any good if the Manufacturer refuses to do anything about their 2nd grade product. After Sales Service and attitude is terrible.

Thank you Asko – I previously gave this product a very poor review and criticised Asko for unhelpful after sales service. Although I haven't changed my opinion of the product, I'm pleased to report that Asko had a service person come and look at the product and the product has now been replaced with their alternative model (HG1654S). I couldn't be happier. Thank you Asko.
