Terrible cooktop. Lots of issues with the main burner. It's either way too hot/high or way too low - no inbetween. Flame is very uneven. Was talked into it by salesman at Good Guys - was probably working on commission.

Purchased in at The Good Guys for $1,399.

I have had this cooktop for 5 years. I HATED it so much and couldn't cook anything on it. The flame on the big burner always went out. I had so many technicians out replacing parts, shaking their heads, and leaving me with a dud. A total waste of money HOWEVER in the last couple of months I've added the extra wok grill (which gave extra height from the flame) and have not had an issue since. Go figure.

Purchased in at The Good Guys for $1,199.

Absolutely USELESS cooktop! – Do NOT buy this model!! The main hob has a serious design fault where the flame cuts out when any wok/pot/pan is placed on it. ASKO acknowledged it is a safety feature the flame cuts out, albeit, they don't acknowledge the only purpose of a cooktop is to be able to cook on it. Horrendous experience trying to get it fixed under warranty and eventually took them to fair trading to get a refund.

Purchased in at The Good Guys Physical store for $1,099.

Disaster of a cooktop, after-sales non-service a disgrace – Main burner has tiny flame and goes out frequently. Called for service, they visited and sent a part. didn't fix it. Called back, took another 3 weeks. Given a 6 hour window and no notice of attendance. To be told that the size of the pan was the issue (standard 20cm frypan mind you!) - then flame kept going out on its own even with no pan. Extremely poor service and a lemon of a cooktop! Still waiting for a fix.Apparently an issue with the way the burner sits.

I do love the black coating on this model. Super easy to keep clean when it does enable us to cook on the odd occasion.

Appalling after sales service from Asko – Wok burner shoots flames, blows out, and is dangerous. Unable to use safely. Asko after sales service in beyond appalling. They said ' don't use it,' That's their answer to fixing it. People answer the phone (after the recording saying how wonderful they are), take details and nothing happens. Thirteen phone calls and 6 weeks later, still nothing. Never, ever buy an Asko product again.
