They wash well and last longer than cheap machines – I repair washers. Haven’t used the same one in over 4 years now. A Miele might last a tad longer but I’m sure you’ll pay extra for that benefit. Yes, the dispenser drawers tend to rust a little in this model but it’s easily fixed. Of all the washers I’ve ever used the Asko’s wash the best. And the door design is the best. No rubber door seal to… Read more

trap muck and go mouldy. The worst by far is Beko. If I were to buy new, I’d buy an Asko. Without hesitation.

Very disappointing – I had decided to purchase another high quality brand and was convinced to purchase this washing machine with a matching Asko Condenser dryer T753C. Absolutely regret purchasing both of these as they both have not lasted. After only 6 years, the washing machine leaks water, the top left hand corner has broken off and the rubber seal around the… Read more

door has completely fallen off. It also regularly has water outlet issues or balance issues where I then have to restart the whole wash again.

Another expensive rustbucket – Bought the machine in 2010. Paid about $1600 for it. Top of the range they said. Asko is the Rolls Royce of washing machines proclaimed they. Good analogy as Rolls Royce were rustbuckets too. About 2 years in, it required a new motherboard, fortunately just before the warranty ran out. Then a year after that we started to see the rust around the… Read more

soap filler cap. Now, like me, it is looking shabby, old and tired. I could have been onto my third shiny, cheaper machine for what we paid for this one. In its favour, it is still going ok and it does wash well. But its just really disappointing that an otherwise good machine should be let down by such a minor production fault. A common fault it seems. Harvey Norman where l bought it, do not stock them any more. Apparently, Asko left Sweden about 10 years ago and were manufactured in Slovenia. That might explain the poor quality control. Just bought a new machine and guess what? Its not an Asko!

Rusted soap dispenser – This is my second set of Asko washing machine and drier . Loved the first set so purchased the next . There is a design fault I need to have resolved . For my $2300 new machine I'm really disappointed as my old machine looks newer . I love everything else especially no rubber problems like my Meile had . My friend has my old Asko machine and it… Read more

still looks brand new . Please help me a very loyal customer. Not sure when it was purchased have to call Harvey Norman . It's only me that uses the machine

rusty door trap and leaks – After having a faulty machine, Asko replaced it with x floor stock. I was grateful it finally came as I was without a washer for 3 weeks and have a family of 6. After 3 years, the laundry trap has begun to rust, and we are experiencing small leaks again. I brought an Asko, as I thought they were meant to last a long time.

Great Machine but pathetic after sales service – I purchased this machine just under 5 years ago and it performed OK until I noticed RUST in the front panel around the detergent door. I contacted ASKO and they asked me to send them photos of the inside of the front panel which I sent 3 weeks ago. Having not received any reply, I phoned them and was informed that as the machine was nearly 5… Read more

years old, they were not going to do anything about RUST in a machine that should last at least 15 years (my Miele lasted 17 years B4 I got the ASKO!!!!!). I would never buy any of their products again because of poor after sales service and crappy quality control during manufacture.

ASKO products should be taken off the AUS market – I paid $4,000 for my matching washer and dryer set. My washer finally blew up after 3 repair jobs and also ruined my cabinets from flooding my laundry and KYLIE- the unhelpful asko customer service replaced it with a second hand machine. When i eventually caught her out and months of arguments she finally replaced it with a new machine. My… Read more

condensor dryer is stuffed and has been repaired 3 times for the same thing but she wants nothing to do with it? I am sick of fighting with her over it. Maybe we should go to a current affair for their shonky products.

2nd Asko no problem with both – After 18 years of use from my first machine, I bought another, I've been very happy with the ease of settings, the quality of the wash and noticed the difference with an extra 400 rpm spin speed, I'm surprised to hear about complaints from other customers, 3 years use so far and no issues.  Show reply

This will wreck your clothes ! – I agree totally with the comments from Sandra in her post Jan17 2015. I too bought this very expensive machine on recommendation for quality early 2014. However, the machine basically turned everything hard and rough, clothes, sheets even the tea towels. Despite changing washing liquids, fabric softeners, various settings on the machine, hours… Read more

researching online, contacting ASKO there was no resolution. Our clothes were rough and worn. Bascially we put the clothes back in the old top loader and hey presto soft clothes again. I now have a very expensive door stop. Thanks ASKO.

Fabulous – I purchased my machine 4 years ago and absolutely love it. I bought it to replace the 1 year old LG front loader that I hated, because every time I put it on the spin cycle it would rock and roll so much it would follow me out the laundry door. The service dept didn't help either-blaming my timber floors for the problem and suggesting I move… Read more ·  1

the machine into the doorway of the laundry so it couldn't travel any further. Yeah right! The floors weren't the problem, the LG machine was!

Anyway, I had originally intended on buying a Miele, because I wanted something sturdy, but the sales guy in the store recommended the ASKO and I have not regretted buying it for one second

The sales and service people I have dealt with have been helpful and whenever I've had to have someone out to check something or deliver something, they call the night before to confirm the appointment.

In fact I liked my ASKO so much, I bought the heat pump dryer to match it last year...and yesterday purchased a new ASKO dishwasher, which will be delivered next week.

This review may sound like a bit of an ad for ASKO but I couldn't be happier with their service and appliances...I'll let you know how the dishwasher goes once I've used it for a while - fingers crossed I haven't "mozzed" myself Great reliable machine

Update on my earlier review – Second machine, several call outs. I need another service call because the springs that restrain the drum have gone again. A load of just a few cotton shirts causes the machine to be unstable. It takes many, many attempts to successful spin (1000rpm). I should arrange another service visit but it's just too hard. I'm moving house so I'll… Read more

dump it and get something

better in the new house. So, 5 years of poor service and it's discarded.

A comment to anyone reading the reviews of this machine with an eye to buying one; I don't think it is a coincidence that the positive reviews focus on the Asko marketing features (eg reduced detergent use). I have a suspicion these reviewers are somehow aligned with Asko.

Update:

So this review is the epilogue to my two previous reviews. I've just moved and could not bring myself to plumb the machine in. I have replaced it a Miele. So that was a three year life for a very expensive machine and an enormous waste of resources and my time.

My final comment would be that I doubt the faults, and certainly not the service, would be limited to this model. I would urge anyone to shop elsewhere.
