Absolutely disgraceful Over priced just so your research Refuse to assist in any way or form once monies are payed In my case $1500. Belittled in class and ignored when student asked for feedback and assistance Elsewhere in townsville same security course is $950 and you get food Avoid like the plague. They are extremely rude and ignore emails and ph calls in townsville site
I attended Asset College to complete my Firearm Instructor course. I had the privilege to spend five days with the director in training. So much to learn, but I'm grateful to have the opportunity to learn from the best Instructor in Australia and gain insight into the Firearm Instructor industry. From experience to knowing every firearm and how it works, Legislation, and trying to develop quality people for the industry.
To the Director of the company, thank you so much for having me, and now we have started a new friendship. Your team, very welcoming and helpful in every area, so thank you to them all.
If you're serious about real learning for your career, then I encourage you to visit Asset College, and they will look after you.
Again, Great experience, and I can't wait to see what's next. "Queensland Here I Come HAHA"
Thank you AK SECURITY SOLUTION
Best security course ever! – I had an amazing experience with asset college attending cert 2 in security. I found the teacher Andy to be a cool calm and collected professional, who made the course very fun and engaging. The course covered absolutely everything there is to know about the industry. Andy had a talent to reach anybody in the class and did not mind focusing on any student who required extra assistance. I look forward to doing my next course with asset college. All round 5 stars
Horrible experience – I had a Forklift Course with [Name Removed] on the 20th of June, 2023. [Name Removed] wasn't very professional at all, in-fact he had a distasteful way of making examples. One was the 'difference between a hazard and a risk' his example was as follows; "The wife is in 'a mood', that's a hazard, me going home is a risk. Me going home is the risk (chance) of coming face to face with a hazard." Literally what he said. Also a foreigner was late to the course and I could understand him, he just had a thick accent. [Name Removed] turned them away because they were late, told them to rebook. But after that he said "I can tell just by looking at him he can't speak English" so yeah, he was also racist. Then he saw I wasn't writing anything down (Because he didn't give papers around like he should've, it's his responsibility as a teacher to supply students with study papers) and poked fun at me personally, saying "Sure you look intelligent, you have a photographic memory or something? I see you nodding" He spoke in a demeaning manner down to me. It felt like a jab at my autism but I'm not sure how he could know that so it's probably just coincidence. Still very unprofessional.
After the theory part of it I just decided to leave and go home, because it felt like a waste of time and I wasn't good mentally after it.
2 years later nothing came of this by the way.

Hi Sam, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. This is not usual behaviour of Asset College staff and it is very disappointing to read. We have launched an investigation into your experience. Once this has been completed, a member of our team will reach out to you to discuss.
