 AI reviews summary

Kinetic Education is highly regarded for its ability to identify and bridge learning gaps in Mathematics and English through a structured, Australian curriculum-aligned platform. Parents frequently report significant boosts in student confidence and school grades, often seeing children progress to extension classes or move a year ahead of their peers. The service is particularly noted for its strong communication, with regular tutor check-ins and weekly progress reports providing parents with clear oversight of their child's academic journey.

Pros
Targeted Gap Analysis: The initial assessment and "Maths Doctor" tools effectively identify specific learning gaps from previous years, allowing the platform to tailor lessons that build a solid foundation.
High-Touch Support: Tutors provide consistent follow-up through weekly or fortnightly phone calls and reports, ensuring students stay on track and lessons are adjusted to the correct difficulty level.
Effective Incentive System: The points-based reward system, which allows children to earn gift cards or donate to charity, is a major motivator that encourages independent study habits.
Flexible and Accessible: The online, self-paced nature of the modules allows families to fit tutoring around busy schedules and travel, eliminating the need for physical travel to tutoring centres.
Cons
Rigid Contractual Terms: Multiple users highlighted the 12-month commitment as a significant drawback, noting that it is difficult or impossible to cancel the contract once the cooling-off period has ended.
Technical Glitches: Some users reported recurring issues with platform features, such as audio tutorial options failing to work after several weeks of use.
Variable Difficulty: While the program is generally well-paced, some students found certain modules or timed tests either insufficiently challenging or excessively stressful.
Support Limitations for Complex Needs: A few reviewers indicated that the program's standard format may not be sufficiently adaptable for children with specific learning difficulties or neurodivergent needs.
Verdict

Kinetic Education is a highly effective supplemental learning tool for parents seeking to improve their children's core literacy and numeracy skills through a structured, data-driven approach. While the long-term contract requires a serious financial commitment, the combination of tailored lesson plans and proactive tutor support consistently delivers measurable academic growth and increased student confidence.

Kinetic Education has clearly made a difference to my daughter’s results at school. The steady daily lessons that are relatively short help to progress her understanding of those subjects without overloading her with hours and hours of work like many tutoring programs. Rather than rote learning like I’ve seen in many other tutoring programs,… Read more

kinetic teaches through understanding and their program is fairly good at identifying areas where the student needs help in.

Highly recommended online tutoring program I’ve been really impressed with this online tutoring program. It has been instrumental in helping my daughter build both her confidence and her academic ability. One of the biggest benefits for me as a parent is how structured the program is. It takes away the need for me to constantly plan or organise… Read more

extra learning activities, which has made a huge difference to our routine. Everything is clearly laid out and easy to follow. The flexibility is another standout feature — my daughter can access it on a laptop or iPad from anywhere, which makes it very convenient to fit into our day. It’s now become a consistent part of her daily and weekly routine, and she genuinely enjoys it. Overall, it’s been a great investment in her learning, and I’ve seen noticeable progress not just in her skills, but also in her confidence.

Kinetic Education and all their tutors have been amazing to work with. My daughter went from barely getting through English and Maths to getting As and Bs and honestly it’s all thanks to Kinetic. My boys have been doing Kinetics for a year and a half. I originally decided to try it out for my younger son. He was significantly behind and before he started Kinetics he could barely read. year and a half he is now completing a combination of grade two- (his current grade) plus grade 3 and 4 work. My older son has also benefited and it shows in his school work, and he has more confidence when new topics are introduced. Communication is great, the regular check ins are productive and not overpowering. The team will work with you to set the right amount of activities for your children, you have the ability to challenge them with their tasks and also adjust how many tasks they do over the week. During these check ins, the Kinetics team are so enthusiastic about your children’s progress- genuinely excited to see how your children are progressing, and make some suggestions on what their future activities and work load could be like. Children and parents have the ability to call the tutors if they are unable to grasp the concept, and they will explain it in more detail. Having the flexibility to work through the activities independently, self paced, and have the ability to contact a tutor directly is the perfect combination! Honestly, this program works so well for our family and the benefits show!

Thank you kinetics!

Last year my daughter in year 7 was very behind in Math. We tried to find tutoring for her and my husband came across Kinetic Tutoring which works well for us in terms of affordability and easy online app access. The pricing was very affordable for both math and english lessons, and they allow my second daughter to join at no additional cost. … Read more

Both kids went on initial test to see their level and where the gaps are. It was very helpful to find out that my eldest had gaps even from year 3 maths. We signed up in July and with routine weekly tasks, both daughter closed these gaps in few months.

The app gives weekly lessons review to see their score on various subjects, and where they see areas that need improvement, the app will repeat the subjects until my kids improve their score. There are rewards points as well for the kids that they can redeem for gift cards, which help motivate them. We also receive regular calls from Raj, our wonderful tutor support to check in on the girls progresses. Occassionally he would offer writing projects for the girls of which they could earn more reward points.

Amazing app, amazing system, amazing support, at a very affordable rate admist rising costs everywhere, our family is very thankful for Kinetic!

We joined over the summer break for my 8yo daughter and 12yo son to make sure they were ready to join distance education. The staff have been so kind and helpful through the whole process. given reflect those gaps. I love the weekly reports to see where they are at in their learning and it’s great to know they re-cover areas where they struggle. Great access to tutors who are very engaging and helpful although I would have liked more access (and maybe easier access through an online messaging/calling system?) to the tutors especially during the day as my kids were homeschooled. We were never denied access to a tutor during the day but easier access would have been good. The staff were helpful in suggestions to make the workload easier or harder depending on our circumstances and there was always access to specific content if it needed to be related to their school content. Overall a great experience

Be aware, you will be [Content Removed] to pay over 2k for a year, per child - no way to escape. Even if you cancel, they will take all the money off you. Yes, not a cancellation fee and refund the rest - all of it! Also pay attention to finer details on your direct debit contract. I signed in to the subscription on 5th Nov 2025, and I was told by… Read more

the consultant that they will set up my son's account on Friday 7th Nov, and I will have two weeks from that date, until 21st of Nov 2025 to cancel if we find it not working for us. However, on the contract my start date was recorded as 05th Nov 2025 and my 10 business days of cooling off period runs out on 19 Nov 2025. Lucky I checked my paperwork properly, as initially I was thinking I would make my decision by 20th Nov, thinking I can still cancel it on 21st Nov as me any my Mrs. were verbally told multiple times by the consultant until it was baked into our memory. I was the lucky one, I'm sure they caught many victims using this trick of imaginary two days. Verbal doesn't count, what is written and signed what matters. As per the online platform, it is not bad - however difficult to justify the price as it is already pre-populated content. They say they have educators available to support, it the kid needs help - but we didn't get to try that and was wondering, how many educators available (ratio, teacher : kids), to be that any useful. If my son have to stay on-hold on a phone line for 10 - 15 min, to get some help on a math question, how is that going to be practical? The did the evaluation on my son and confirmed that my son is full aware on his year level and 85% good on next year level and when it comes to setting up his lessons, they set him up from the beginning of the next year level (where they said he knows 85% already). We found the questions were too easy and my son was not learning anything. English was not much different. This service is not a [Content Removed], it has real math and english lessons (and there are saying live educators available certain time of the day from Monday to Thursday if needed), and if your kid is behind on the current year level, it may help to improve. But not suitable for us and their tack ticks to lock you in for the whole year with no escape and tricking people so they go over the cooling period before they can cancel are unacceptable for me - one star is for that, and the education platform, may be I give about 3.5 stars.

I was very sceptical about using an online tutoring program however kinetic education has surpassed my expectations. We were recommended kinetic through a friend and initially I thought it was a silly idea. Given my son was just starting school. My daughter would benefit more of having a 1:1 lesson and having the app activities as support for the lessons throughout the week, to reinforce her learning. She enjoyed the points incentive but found the lessons itselves not challenging at all and almost boring.

We have used Kinetic a couple of times to help our kids with schooling. As both children have learning difficulties which differ between them and did help one child, unfortunately our son is ADHD, DLD and going through further testing and they were made very aware of this. They told us he needed to do more to achieve better with the program and… Read more

that he had to be consistent, which he was but got frustrated very quickly with how it was being taught. We expressed this multiple time but were told the program could not be modified as this was it and it was take it or leave it.

Just make sure before you commit to anything to help your child's development that they can actually cater for your children needs. Also check real reviews that they can't block and take down.

For the positivity, this tutoring is very cheap and gives you the same knowledge as expensive tutors. For the negativity, you know where you get kind of a bad result on the test? You start all over again and this is making a brain overuse. But overall, other than that I think Kinetic Education is worth it! I just wish Kinetic would remove it.
