HOLY MOLY! The Gustard X30 from Audiophile Shop Australia BLEW MY MIND! (And a Big Thanks to Aaron!) Alright, fellow audiophiles, buckle up, because I just had a major audio upgrade thanks to the Gustard X30 DAC, and I'm still reeling from the experience! And a massive shoutout to Audiophile Shop Australia – you guys were fantastic, especially… Read more ·  1

Aaron!

Let's start with the DAC itself. I've been searching for that "next level" sound for ages, and the X30 absolutely delivered. The quad ES9039PRO chips are no joke. The clarity, the detail, the sheer resolution of the audio is just astonishing. I'm hearing things in my favorite tracks I swear I've never heard before. It's like the musicians snuck in extra notes just for me!

The soundstage is HUGE. It's so wide and deep, it feels like the music is happening all around me. Imaging is laser-precise; every instrument has its own distinct space, and you can practically reach out and touch them. The dynamics are explosive, but also nuanced. From the quietest whisper to the loudest crescendo, everything is rendered with breathtaking accuracy.

And the tonal balance? Perfection! No harshness, no muddiness, just pure, unadulterated musical bliss. It's smooth, it's rich, it's engaging – it's everything I've ever wanted in a DAC.

But it's not just about the sound. The build quality of the X30 is also top-notch. It feels incredibly solid and well-engineered. It's a real statement piece in my setup.

And then there's Audiophile Shop Australia, and especially Aaron. These guys were amazing from start to finish. Their website was easy to navigate, the ordering process was smooth, and the shipping was lightning fast. Plus, their customer service was exceptional – Aaron was incredibly helpful with my questions and provided fantastic guidance. It's clear they really care about their customers.

If you're serious about audio and looking for a DAC that will take your listening experience to the stratosphere, look no further than the Gustard X30. And do yourself a favor and get it from Audiophile Shop Australia. You won't regret it!

Seriously, I'm going to be rediscovering my entire music collection for months. This DAC is a game-changer. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My usual go to store for anything audiophile related. I bought my Moondrop Aria 2021, Aria SE, and most recently Moondrop Paras from here. There have been a few minor hiccups in terms or communications and stock , particularly with the Paras, but in the end I received my orders in a timely manner. Site has a wide range of produces, both IEMs and Headphones (especially Moondrop products) and is easy and intuitive to navigate itself. Show details

Aaron made three power cables and an interconnect cable which have made a big improvement to my system. The quality of the cables is excellent and they have increased definition, dynamics and detail across the whole frequency range. I think some help with admin would help Aaron but his knowledge and the quality of his work is high level. Highly recommended.

Great little DAC. I'm using it with a FiiO CD player and AppleTV (thru a HDMI audio extractor) with RCA out to my integrated amp. Sounds great, nice compact form factor, and metal housing makes it feel solid. Technical reviews online show it exceeds many dearer alternatives. Only minor complaint is the power light blinks constantly when it isn't… Read more

in use, which can be a bit annoying if watching TV in a dark room. And a remote would have been nice, but at the price it's a minor issue. Service from Audiophile Shop is first rate. Had it shipped in no time.

Worst customer experience EVER – I think I could comfortably rate my purchase from them as the worst customer experience in living memory. (I used this line from the previous review cause it’s so spot on!) On 24/09/24 I’ve purchased the ANK Kit1 300B integrated amplifier custom high performance build by A.L.A Audio alias [Name Removed]… Read more

(A.K)18/11/24, the amp arrived and the packaging of this $7.000AUD piece of equipment left me speechless! He used wrapping paper and sticky tape and everything was covered with a tiny specs and polystyrene dust. (I’ll attach some pics for you to see). There was issues with the amp since I first plugged it in. Humming and cracking noise in one of the channels. [Name Removed] kept blaming my equipment (speakers, cables, power chords…) 19/12/24, the distortion and cracking noises became unbearable and by 21/12/24 one of the channels went completely silent. There was silence due to festive season and arguments began again on 29/12/24. By 03/01/24 [Name Removed] decided to take an action and he sent me the shipping label. The amp was collected (Sydney) and shipped back to Melbourne for diagnostics. Apparently the issue was with one of the tubes which I found very weird because both tubes worked perfectly in one of the channels. Meaning they both lighted up in one channel. Well [Name Removed] is a man of skill so I did not argued and I was relieved that the issue was so simple. 13/01/25, I received the shipping label but he put my address as a pick up location so he had to rebook. 21/01/25, the amplifier is back with me left on the street by the courier (ARAMEX) just to find out that nothing has changed and the channel that was dead is still dead. I confronted [Name Removed] re [Content Removed]!? I opened the amp with careful instructions by [Name Removed] and there was no power in one of the channels (see attached pictures) By now [Name Removed] was certain that the issue is with one of the voltage regulators. 22/01/25 Amp is back in the box and waiting on the porch to be picked up by ARAMEX. 28/01/25 I’m confronting [Name Removed] what are we waiting for!!!??? He said “I had food poisoning and I’ll get back to you when I’m able”. Funny right? I said: “if I won’t see the shipping label today I’m taking legal action… 30min later, I received the shipping label. 05/02/25, Amp still in the box on my porch waiting to be picked up. Frustrating dealing with ARANEX (not existing) customer service and [Name Removed] continues. 06/02/25 [Name Removed] decided to rebook (ARAMEX AGAIN!). At this point I’m truly speechless and I’ve asked for a refund several times. 07/02/25 Amp was finally picked up by ARAMEX. 14/02/25, the amp is back in Melbourne for “diagnostics”. 18/02/25, [Name Removed] is confirming that he’ll have to keep the amp for one to two weeks. 26/02/25 [Name Removed] admitted/confirmed that the issue was that the heatsink was touching the back plate of the chassis, overheating and shorting out. I’ve been dragged through four extra months of pain and frustration because of such a pathetic mistake in this “HIGH PERFORMANCE” build! 03/03/25 [Name Removed] is still testing… 05/03/25 Amp picked up in Melbourne by guess who? Yes, ARAMEX! 12/03/25, more arguments with ARANEX and [Name Removed] 13/03/25, ARAMEX delivered and this time they left damaged box in the rubbish room lying on the side. (see the pictures) The way that [Name Removed] fixed the issue is that he attacked a film/plastic stickers on two heatsinks which increased the volume of the hardware by approximately 4mm so literally he couldn’t close the bottom plate on the amp properly. (See the attached pictures) I was waiting 6 months for this “HIGH PERFORMANCE” build. When I confronted [Name Removed] re [Content Removed]? I was waiting 2 weeks for his reply but unfortunately I did not received any answer to my questions… I wonder; is the chassis small or the installed heat sinks too big?? I’m certain it’s not the part of design if the equipment with 7K price tag?! I guess I’ll never find out, damn. I’ve decided to take a legal action against [Name Removed] and his utterly awful customer service and share this experience by several reviews on different platforms to warn people and to shed some light on what to expect when dealing with www.audiophileshop.com.au.

Thank you.

Worst customer experience EVER – I think I could comfortably rate my purchase from them as the worst customer experience in living memory. After much consternation over if to buy from Hypex DIY (manufacturer in the Netherlands) or Audiophonics in France (great shop). I thought I would support a local Australian company. They have a very slick website and all looked OK. I ordered… Read more

my "in Stock" Nilai PCB's and recieved acknowledgment. Then after 3 days or so I enquired as to shipping as they claim to ship within 72 hours. Received no response, I rang the mobile number, no response. Started to think the place was a [Content Removed] and contacted Hypex in the Netherlands who confirmed they are their "legal representative". Eventually after ringing literally 20 times this guy [Name Removed] answered. "oh yes no problem it will be shipped on Monday" 5 days after I ordered. Come Tuesday nothing. Same again sms, phone, email. Nothing, eventually I got an sms. We have some leads missing and will ship Monday, I received tracking #. Then nothing for 4 days. The whole process again, sorry my staff did not advise (this guy has no staff I am certain). Finally after 2.5 weeks the PCB's where shipped. They arrived and guess what, missing leads! I got back in touch same process getting harder and harder. Oh you must have misplaced them! You can buy them I will put a link on the website, unbelievable. At this stage I got back in touch with Hypex Netherlands and [Name Removed] emailed me the next day and said he would order and ship the leads FOC within 1 to 1.5 weeks. Nothing was shipped he did not answer my email at the 12 days later point. I contacted sales again at Hypex, to their credit they then immediately sent them FOC by UPS. They have propriety plugs very hard to use the thing without though I did manage to hack a solution in the interim. So after 6 weeks from order I today have the leads from Hypex. BTW the Hypex Nilai500DIY is an awesome piece of kit.
