Great fan with a lot of options – I’ve the past 8 weeks I’ve used this fan with my wife in our home office. We’ve found it to be quiet enough to keep running during teams meetings and with the high range of movement it has a great spread of air. It also has wifi connectivity, which for us was really just fun to play with. I haven’t yet tried to add it to my Home Assistant… Read more

instance yet, but could find that using it with a prescience sensor useful to power it off automatically.

Over Xmas we also moved it to the kitchen just to use while prepping for Xmas lunch… it was great, but given the material finish, it is not easy to clean and really belongs away from a kitchen area.

The fan is low profile, stable, easy to use buttons which are a capacitive touch, making it easy to wipe the panel clean.

It has up down and left right movement and many speed settings…

It’s a great addition when it’s not too hot to need AC to keep the air moving around and help keep you fresh while in the office.

I highly recommend this fan.

Energy efficient air circulator – Thanks to the Ambassador programme I was given the opportunity to test and keep the AusClimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator in exchange for an honest review. My mum and I both already own AusClimate dehumidifiers so I knew it was of high quality and a reputable brand to deal with. At first glance it looks a bit average. I’m not keen on the… Read more

stone grey colour for household use. It looks a bit too sterile and corporate next to my soft grey-beige upholstered bedhead (see photo). It wasn’t until I turned it on that I realised this was not your average fan. It operates via both a convenient hand held remote or electronic touch buttons which allows it to impressively swivel on its base and rotate in all directions. It’s easy to navigate through the controls and to lock it one direction.

It has 13 speed settings. It is also wi-fi smart home and app enabled and can be set on an 8 hour timer. I particularly like the DC brushless motor, which means it’s not only energy efficient, but with no brushes to wear out the motor, it minimises maintenance and extends the fan’s lifespan.

I find when sleeping the ceiling fan can sometimes be too intense when lying directly under it, even on low, so it was good to be able to have it on my dresser with just a quiet gentle breeze circulating and the handy bonus of being able to control the direction and air-flow from across the room.

I tried using it in the living room but it just didn’t cut it, compared to the ceiling fan. Sure it moves every which way, but it takes ages to rotate back around and if you have more than one person you get hot while you’re waiting for it to briefly come back to you.

I found another use for it in the hallway outside the bathroom. In Summer, with the western sun streaming in, I find it stifling when trying to do my hair and make up for an event, so it was handy to place it outside the door to blow the cool air from the air conditioned living spaces into the bathroom.

With the high humidity over Summer I’m always conscious of airing out the house and garage to avoid mould and mildew. It came in handy to circulate air into the dark corners of the bedroom closets and linen press where ceiling fans can’t reach and to use in conjunction with my AusClimate dehumidifier to circulate air in the garage.

Overall, I found this was an impressive little fan that is compact, portable and a very handy addition to the home. It won’t replace a ceiling fan but it’s great for the areas a ceiling fan can’t reach.

It's a fan – It calls itself an air circulator, but it doesn't cool, dehumidify, purify or condition the air in any way. It just moves air around, hence it's a fan, but one with a fancy name and some extra quality-of-life features. INITIAL IMPRESSIONS ARE GOOD The product comes in recyclable packaging, is compact and looks very smart. The cover has a grey… Read more

speckled fabric finish which is a nice touch. The unit is light and easy to move around.

WHERE IS THE HANDLE? The product page on the manufacturer's website lists "Concealed Carry Handle" as a feature, but it's not clear to me where this handle is. You can pick up the fan by the cover, but the underside has a slightly tacky feel which makes me wonder if it will deteriorate over time as many rubbery surfaces do. There's a slot at the back that looks like a handle (see attached photo), but if you try to pick up the fan by putting three fingers in the slot and your thumb on the top, it's not possible to get a firm grip.

WORKS WELL AS A FAN It performs its basic functions well. There are 12 speed settings which is a lot more than you'd find in a conventional fan. The DC motor is quiet at the lower speeds and does an effective job of moving air around. The oscillation has a wide range and you can switch horizontal and vertical movement on and off independently. The oscillation speed can't be changed: horizontal oscillation takes about 40 seconds and vertical about 30. Interestingly, when horizontal oscillation is turned on, the entire unit including the base rotates.

CONTROLS ARE POORLY DESIGNED A series of 8 touch buttons on the base control all the functions, but the layout and labelling are poor. The designers opted to use symbols rather than words and the usability suffers for it.

For some reason, the power switch is button number 5 out of 8. There's no logical reason for this and it is identified only with a power symbol, which I think is far from universally or intuitively understood. I'd expect the power switch to be the first button on the far left. As it happens, the first two buttons ARE labelled "OFF" and "ON", but these don't turn the fan off and on; rather, they're for setting the off-timer and on-timer respectively. It's confusing.

The oscillation buttons have left-right and up-down arrows printed on them, but the former also has the word "Wi-Fi" printed above it. This makes it look like the button is for Wi-Fi and not for something else. The last button has a "wind" symbol on it and activates turbo mode. By not putting the word "TURBO" or "MAX" on the switch, the designers have made it a guessing game as to what the button does. A "wind" symbol on a fan tells me nothing.

REMOTE CONTROL IS SIMPLE The remote is a very simple thin rectangle that seems to have been designed completely separately from the fan itself. The colour doesn't match the fan, the buttons are dome switches rather than touch, the buttons are all labelled (and in mixed case) unlike the ones on the fan, and the order of the buttons bears no resemblance to the order on the fan. Having said that, the remote works well and is a useful feature. It would be even better if there were a place on the fan to store the remote.

WI-FI DIDN'T WORK The fan can be controlled with an app, but I could never get the pairing to work. The instructions are convoluted and the app requires registration which I find annoying and intrusive. Why does a app to control a fan need my email address? The user manual has a QR code for more instructions, but the QR code doesn't work, leading to a page that says "The QR Code Campaign has been disabled for some reason". I found this whole experience pointless and frustrating and couldn't get any further than an error message in the app that said "Failed to add the device".

CONCLUSION Overall this product works well as a fan. It's well built, quiet, moves air around efficiently and the remote control is useful. It's let down by poor control design and Wi-Fi connectivity that didn't work. It's currently on sale at 35% off which is reasonable value, but I would consider it overpriced at full price. It has a two year warranty.

Smart Desk Fan , Point and Shoot – The Fan itself has a quality feel to it with a fabric type cover over the fan body and the touch controls on the base makes it seem well made. The fan is able to push a fair amount of air as a circulator and it does… Read more

seem to send air in a good stream as intended to the direction you wish. I would say though as I have used a competitor product of the same size I did find the column of air is not quite as tight. It has timers and full control offered by the remote and would be easy for anyone to use. The only drawback for me was the slight hum emitted form the fan motor and for me it would be annoying being in a bedroom setting . The competitor product I had used for several years didn’t seem to emit this hum and I had that in the bedroom for several years before it died. I any open area I don’t think this would be a issue and maybe the fan I received had a slight fault , hard to say. I would definitely recommend based on the remote functionality and features. Being able to remotely point the fan anywhere in the room was super convenient for me.

The ugliest fan I have ever seen! – I’ve been using the Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator for the past month, and while I’m impressed with how effectively it moves air around my bedroom, I have to say—it is just plain UGLY! Its design clearly caters to an office desk setup, which seems like a missed opportunity for the manufacturer to consider its use in home spaces. One… Read more

design feature I really dislike is the fabric stuck to the main part of the fan (photo 2). It feels impractical—imagine the amount of dust that will accumulate in that fabric over a year of use! On top of that, the inside back section is sticky from glue, creating yet another dust trap (photo 4). These design choices make cleaning a hassle and seem poorly thought out.

There are more negatives. The flat control panel is inconvenient for use in a dark bedroom (photo 2). The on button is in the middle of the panel, making it hard to find when the lights are off; it really should have been the first button for ease of use. People with a disability may struggle with this control panel.

As for the app, it was frustratingly clunky. The images on the box don’t match the app interface, and trying to set up a schedule via the 'scenes' feature was a waste of time. The one schedule I did create disappeared. I found it easier to use a Tapo smart plug to control the on off times.

On the positive side, the EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator is a good option for smaller spaces. Its compact size fits nicely on my side table, and the adjustable stand lets you direct air flow wherever you need it. The fan allows you to switch between a gentle breeze and a stronger ,slightly noisier airflow. It can circulate air both vertically and horizontally which many desk fans cannot do.

While the fan performs well for general air circulation, its unappealing design, impractical features, and clunky app leave a lot to be desired. It works really well, but it could definitely use some better improvements.

I was given this fan as a Product Review Ambassador to review. Would I buy such a fan? No! The fabric cover would be the deal breaker. Been around too long to know how impractical that would be in the long term.

I didn't know what it was, but after using it, I LOVE IT – An air circulator it said, what was that? When I got it, I didn't know what it was. I was confused. Could it help purify the air? Did it humidify the air? Did it circulate the air to make the room fresher? I didn't understand. Well, what it is is, it's a FAN. But not just any regular fan. It's a really awesome premium fan that does it's job SUPER… Read more

super well. It sits on my main desk in the main area of the house, and on a warmer day, I love to turn it on, rather than my central aircon or fan, as using that is a bit of an overkill I feel on many days. It's very quiet for a fan, it just hums away in the background (the higher the speed, the more noise it will make though). I like to keep it to a 3 or a 4 most of the time. It's small, so goes nicely on the desk. It looks nice, neat and slick, and not out of place. A simple button press, and it rotates gentle side to side well (you can't control the exact angle/degrees it rotates though). A simple button press, and it rotates up and down as well (can do this simultaneously as the side to side). A simple button press, increase or decrease the speed from 1-9 (including the turbo). A simple button press, will also turn it on or off in 1, 2, 4, 8 or 9 hours. All of these buttons, are also on a remote that you can use as well. Apparently, you can connect it on an app as well, but I haven't bothered trying. The buttons are so easy to press on the fan, the remote is small and nifty, I feel there's no need to connect it to my phone. I just use the buttons of the fan 90% of the time. I don't think it's cheap, and that's the main drawback to this product I'd say. And to be honest, the fan is something you need to try yourself to really appreciate it, as it's hard to really get too excited about a fan before buying it, especially at the premium price. But you get what you pay for - it's nice quality. I never thought a fan could be so nice to use... but I really do love mine now and would really recommend this to people who want a top-notch five-star fan (or as Ausclimate promote it as, an air circulator).

4.5/5***** - Compact, well-built and effective Air Circulator with smart home capabilities – Thanks to Ausclimate and productreviews.com.au for the opportunity to test the Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator. Nearly ten years ago I purchased and reviewed one of Ausclimate's air dehumidifiers and found it to be an amazing appliance. My wife and I also own a similar air circulator from another manufacturer, but it doesn't oscillate,… Read more

lacks this device's smart features and is quite chunky. So, we were keen to see how this compact fan would perform in our home. And with the recent heat and tropical humidity here in Sydney, this could not have come at a better time.

Given Australia's fluctuating climate, a reliable air circulator can be a game-changer for comfort, particularly in small to medium spaces like the bedroom or home office space. While it's not without a few quirks, the EcoSmart Circulator delivers where it matters most, quietly and efficiently moving a substantial volume of air while maintaining a sleek, modern design.

### Unboxing and First Impressions

The unit arrived securely packed, and I immediately appreciated the eco-conscious packaging approach. Ausclimate have opted for entirely paper- and cardboard-based materials, save for a small amount of tape, some cable twists, and an AC plug cover. This is a nice touch and something I wish more manufacturers would adopt.

A quick tip for new owners: don't miss the remote control, which comes packaged inside a small paper bag that's wrapped around the power plug. It's easy to overlook during unboxing, and I nearly did myself!

Straight out of the box, the unit feels well-made, with solid construction and a refined aesthetic. A particularly nice design feature is the fabric covering on the outer body of the fan casing, which adds a refined look and feel. That said, I must admit the so-called Stone Grey colour wouldn't have been my first choice. If, like me, you prefer darker tones or feel they better match your home's interiors, you'll be pleased to know that the same model also comes in a colour dubbed Charcoal Black. That said, based on my experience with our existing, black air circulator, I'm certain the grey finish will do a much better job of hiding the inevitable dust build-up. And yes, dust will build up. Air circulators like this one move a substantial volume of air, and unless you happen to live in a microchip factory, you'll quickly notice dust accumulating on the front and rear fins of the fan. Fortunately this is easily remedied with regular cleaning, e.g. vacuuming the fan's air intake and front grille, but the grey colour will probably add some more leeway before the dust becomes noticeable and unsightly.

One small drawback I noticed is the power cord length. At approximately 1.6m, it's a little on the short side, which may limit where you can place the unit in your room without having to reach for an extension.

### Setup and WiFi Pairing

Setting up the EcoSmart Desk Circulator and connecting it to our WiFi unfortunately wasn't exactly straightforward. Having paired numerous smart devices in the past, I know the usual tricks, such as ensuring my phone was connected to the 2.4 GHz band of my router (many IoT devices are limited to this older frequency, which can be frustrating when most modern smartphones default to 5 GHz). Despite this, pairing proved stubborn, in fact, I was on the verge of giving up when I finally succeeded.

Though I'm convinced I tried the same sequence of steps several times without success, here's what finally worked for me:

- Fully disconnect the fan from power. - Wait a little, I did around 1 minute. - Power the unit back on. - Hold the WiFi button on the base (same button that's used to control the side-to-side oscillation) for approximately 10 seconds until the LED begins flashing rapidly. - Use the Manual Pairing Mode in the Ausclimate app and when asked confirm the LED is blinking fast.

After following this sequence, the fan paired successfully, and I could proceed with setting it up in the app. From there, it was smooth sailing, including quick and easy integration with Google Home/Google Assistant. Once paired, you can control power and fan speed via voice commands, which is a great hands-free option. Simple commands like "Hey Google - Turn on the [name of your fan]" or "... change speed to 6" work like a treat. Unfortunately, while Google Assistant can handle on/off voice commands and adjust speed, it appears it cannot control the vertical and horizontal oscillation - a limitation worth noting. Interestingly, both the Ausclimate app and Google Home (via the extended control panel accessed by long-pressing the widget) feature functioning buttons for vertical and horizontal oscillation control, so this may be a limitation of Google Assistant itself rather than the fan.

### Performance and Features

In terms of performance, the EcoSmart Desk Circulator is impressive and it can move plenty of air with relative ease. More than traditional fans, air circulators are, as the name suggests, particularly effective at circulating air throughout a room, making them excellent companions to air conditioning in summer or heaters during winter, ensuring consistent comfort year-round.

The oscillation features, both horizontal and vertical, add to its versatility, allowing the fan to direct airflow exactly where you need it or to evenly distribute airflow across a larger space.

The included IR remote control, while functional, did feel a bit "hit and miss". It needs to be pointed directly at the base of the unit to work reliably, which can be mildly annoying, especially when the receiver is facing the wrong way. Given that the fan can also be controlled via the app or voice commands, this isn't a deal-breaker, but it's worth mentioning since the remote is included.

### Warranty and Support

One standout feature of Ausclimate products is their excellent warranty coverage. The EcoSmart Desk Circulator comes with a 2-year warranty, which can be extended by an additional 2 years (for a total of 4 years) if you register the unit on Ausclimate's website.

When I tried to register the product, the option wasn't available on the website at the time. However, a quick email to Ausclimate's Australian-based customer support team resolved the issue promptly, and they updated the website shortly after. It's always reassuring to know that a company stands by its products and provides efficient, no-fuss customer support.

Final Verdict

The Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator is a high-quality, well-designed fan that excels at moving air efficiently and quietly. Its combination of premium build quality, strong performance, and smart functionality make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to improve indoor airflow and/or extend the reach of existing air conditioning.

While there are minor drawbacks, such as the finicky WiFi pairing process, short-ish power cord, and limited remote control range, the overall performance and thoughtful design of the EcoSmart Desk Circulator and Ausclimate's excellent warranty and responsive support clearly outweigh these small issues. If you're shopping for an effective and stylish air circulator that punches above its weight, the EcoSmart Desk Circulator is well worth considering.

Great as an Office Fan. Highly Versatile – Looks very smart with clean lines and a nice fabric finish on the cowling. Manufacture quality seems very good - excellent tolerances on the plastic parts with seamless assembly. function are easy to use (when running, you can timer-off and it clearly shows you when; when stopped you can timer-on and that's also clear with LEDs in the front panel). The fan itself is a fairly wide rotor with short blades that makes slightly less noise than you'd expect for the airflow but at a slightly higher pitch. Overall noise level was not annoying at all - and very quiet if the speed is low. It drives a very effective "beam" of air from the other side of the room on medium power; unlike the big old-skool desk fans that splash air everywhere. This compact little unit would be very handy in offices (where I use it) for directed airflow at low noise levels without using much space. The oscillation mode is excellent; two independent and completely silent motors rotate horizontally and vertically at slightly different rates - the result is a semi-random spray of air over a large area. Might be handy if you wanted to "mix" air in a larger room, but I generally want air directed at me while I'm working.

Compact Design Meets Powerful Performance, but Noisy… – Rating: 3.5 stars A portable desk fan can make all the difference in creating a comfortable workspace, especially during the sweltering summer months. Over the past four weeks, I’ve tested the Ausclimate Desk Air-circulator, which promises to deliver a blend of convenience, efficiency, and power. Or is it just another fancy term for saying a… Read more

fan?

**Design and Build Quality The first thing that strikes you about this desk fan is its sleek and modern fabric-designed outer case. It boasts a compact, lightweight frame that makes it easy to move around and position wherever needed, although the hand recess could be better (see photo). The fan is constructed from high-quality plastic, which feels sturdy and durable without being overly heavy, while the touchpad buttons make it easy to wipe clean from dirty fingers. The minimalist aesthetic ensures it fits seamlessly into any office or home decor.

*Cons: fabric on the casing and no accessibility to the fan, making this hard to clean.

** Performance Despite its small size, the fan packs a punch. It features an adjustable 13-speed setting, allowing you to customise the airflow. The highest setting (Strong Wind) provides a robust breeze sufficient to move the air around in a small to medium-sized room but comes at a cost: the noise. The fan operates quietly in the lowest settings, which is a significant advantage for use in a work or study environment where concentration is key. I tried it as a nighttime fan because I love ‘white noise,’ but I found the whirring sound of the DC motor something I just couldn’t get used to. (I tested it in a video comparing my other pedestal DC motor fan with the Ausclimate fan)

*Cons: It is noisy on the higher settings, making it reasonably unusable in a quiet environment.

**Portability and Convenience Portability is one of the standout features of this desk fan. Its compact size and light weight make it a breeze to carry from one room to another or even to pack in a bag for travel in a caravan. Additional Features. This fan has a few extra features that enhance its usability. The adjustable head can oscillate up and down or side to side, allowing you to direct the airflow precisely where you need it. You can also run the fan in all oscillating directions, allowing it to circulate throughout the room. It also includes a built-in 8-hour-timer function, which can be set, ensuring you don't have to worry about turning it off manually. However, I have never used auto-off on any fan. Finally, it can connect to Google or Alexa via Wi-Fi, but I can tell you now that it was tough to set up (my entire house is Google-controlled), and it kept losing the Wi-Fi connection the moment it was unplugged and moved to another room. Ultimately, I gave up, as I was tired of reconnecting it. The remote is like many these days: a cheap, lightweight plastic that you’d eventually leave in the drawer. They could have at least advanced it by adding some colour to highlight the main power button and to differentiate the speed buttons. (pictures of comparison remote using colour) Cons: Home automation needs a fix, which requires setting up again after powering off. Keep in mind this is a portable fan.

**Energy Efficiency It runs on a DC motor, making it highly efficient; however, I could not find the power consumption specifications to share with those mindful of their energy usage. Therefore, I conducted a test using a smart plug meter and got the following; (see pictures: readings on High and High-Oscillating) <1Watt; Lowest Fan Setting ~16Watts; Highest Fan Setting ~21Watts; All oscillating functions running on the highest Fan setting

**Conclusion Would I buy it? If based on the price, then not so much. As a portable fan to move air in an office, small room or caravan, this is a great little unit for summer cooling and looks great. Remember that it moves air in a small area and isn’t a replacement for large rooms; pedestal fans, or ceiling fans would be better. Running this on high is quite noisy.

It's a small investment that can significantly enhance your comfort and productivity at your desk.

Compact little powerhouse with unbelievable oscillating range – First impressions matter and I’d like to acknowledge that there wasn’t a single piece of plastic packaging in the box! as we feel this is what all companies should be doing (and are capable of), and that still using plastic packaging in 2024 is just the cheap and nasty way to do things - good work AusClimate! This told us from the moment we opened the box that you’re striving to be better than the rest.

The fan looks great with a stylish design that fits perfectly into modern homes. It feels really well made, strong and reliable - it looks and feels like it’s built to last. Love the round base, as someone who’s caught their toe on the pointy ends of fan legs a few times in the past, the round base removed all the fear of kicking my toes in the middle of the night when it’s on the floor in my walk-in-robe.

Using the fan there were only 2 features that weren’t exactly what I’d have preferred - we wish the fan could be left to run for longer than 8hrs at a time, and the lights on the base remain on while the fan is running. Since we’re sensitive to light we just placed something over the lights to sleep and never had a problem, and honestly being green lights mean they aren’t as jarring as white would be anyway. Neither of these things were real problems for us.

Now back to what I love about this fan..

The huge oscillating range blew my mind! I didn’t know there were fans that did what I had wanted for our walk-in-robe.. it oscillates to face straight up to the roof, as well as side to side, giving a very wide area of coverage. So now I can be confident that my entire wardrobe is receiving airflow, including the top of our cupboards where we store luggage and blankets.

Speed is extremely customisable. Forget having to choose between low, medium and high like all your other fans, this air circulator gives you 12 speeds, plus an additional “strong wind” setting. There’s strong airflow on the high settings and lovely soft breezes on the low settings. It’s also very quiet, we found it to be low background noise only and easy to sleep with (we live in the country where there is zero noise at night).

The remote works well, you only need to point it in the general direction of the fan, it doesn’t have to be perfectly lined up, great for when you want to adjust the speed or turn it off or on in the middle of the night while you’re half asleep.

The timer works as expected too - I had the fan running and set it to turn OFF in 1hr while also setting it to turn ON in 2hrs (see photo). I left it running and 1hr later it turned off, then 2hrs after that it turned back on. Perfect.

This fan has become a regular part of how we keep our home fresh and clean, circulating air particularly in our walk-in robe which has always had problems with ventilation and airflow. Now we don’t have to worry any more because we know the air is moved around the entire space from the floor to the ceiling, in every direction. This has given us piece of mind when we’re using our dehumidifier that the refreshed air is making it throughout each of the wardrobe spaces and to the tops of the cupboards where luggage and blankets are stored for long periods of time.

Far superior to your typical desk fan, I would suggest that despite its compact size the AusClimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator is much more like a pedestal fan in power, and better than any I’ve used before. Having seen the great design and quality of this product we will definitely be purchasing other AusClimate products in the future.

Very powerful, stylist and modern fan – I was very excited to try this fan and had been after a small stylish fan for our bedside table. of feeling for a fan. My only worry about the fabric is how easy it will be to clean from dust in the future but for now, it hasn't been a issue.

I found the base was very stable and it is not easy to knock over which is a good feature for a fan you would be using on a desk or small table. It won't rock if the bench it is on is knocked which is a good feature if you have children and pets who happen to do that.

This fan was very powerful and I can't fault how well it works. To be honest I have never had a fan work so well in circulating the air quickly and moving the cool air-conditioned air from just outside the door it sat next to inside the bedroom. I was very impressed and the quick boost button worked well for that. The amount of speed and air movement it had for its small size was amazing.

This fan is also able to not only go side to side but up and down. It was a great feature to help with circulating the air around the room. It was also nice to place it a little up if you didn't want it blowing straight into your face. You can not though manually place it where you want, you can try but it requires force that feels you shouldn't apply and you need to set it up to move and then hit the stop once it reaches where you wish it to go.

It does have a feature to connect via a wireless network to an app on your phone to control. This was an issue as it will only connect to the app if you change your router to 2.4GHz if you use the 5GHz for better performance. This would mean all my devices would then only connect to the 2.4GHz which I didn't want.

This could also be a problem for people who are not that technical and would have no idea how to change over to 2.4GHz as most routers today are defaulted to 5GHz. We use an app called 'Grid Connect', which allows us to connect to the fan and use it through 5GHz on our router. So I feel this isn't a fan issue but the software app issue. Since it is a desk fan we didn't make much use of the wireless control as it tended to always be within reaching distance anyway.

The fan does come with a remote control which worked well. My only negative for the fan was it had nowhere to store the remote on the fan so it did not get lost when not in use. We have another fan which allows the remote to sit on top with a built-in magnet which is a great feature with a husband with ADHD and leaves remotes anywhere. I felt this fan has an easy spot above the controls it could have easily sat if it had an inbuilt magnet or little shelve for.

The control buttons on the base do look stylist but we did find them difficult to use. If you just happen to brush the base which is covered in different settings it would just change or turn off. It didn't take much pressure from just a hand swiping over it for it to change. They were also hard to easily work out what button did what as there were so many and I found it confusing. The power button doesn't seem to be in the expected place on the end left but among the middle buttons which was a bit frustrating when you just want to quickly make a change. I'm sure over time I will learn where each button is but it can feel overwhelming.

My only other negative was that it will only stay on for 8 hours, you can't override it to just stay on. We would turn it on in the early evening to cool down our bedroom before going in after the kids were in bed to watch TV then leave on for the night. However, it would then switch off at 1-2 am and the heat would wake us up. It would have been nice to be able to just leave it on and allow us to switch it off in the morning.

I do like this fan as it really does a great job cooling down our bedroom and fits into our modern home with its stylish modern design. The colour is neutral and would easily fit into any home colour design and the base is extremely stable. I feel with a few little changes to the issues I found this would have easily received a 5-star rating from me. With the price tag and the little issues though I had to take a star away.

A lot of power in such a small fan – The Ausclimate EcoSmart is an excellent quality fan. Although it states it’s a desk fan, it has tremendous power compared to usual fans that it could easily be used in a bedroom or small living room. The air that is produced is quite cool for a fan and we have used it in our upstairs study as we don’t have air conditioning and it has kept the room… Read more ·  1

useable even on 38 degree days. There is a timer option for between 1-6 hours making this useful for sleeping at night. You can also tilt the main part up and down u til it is fully facing the roof. So a great range of movement. It also has a handy remote control. This fan is way stronger than your usual pedestal fan and although it comes with a high price tag it’s really worth the money in my opinion.

conditioners.

Compact and Space-Saving Design With its small size and sleek design, it fits perfectly on desks, counters, or small areas where space is limited. It’s also easy to move around, allowing you to direct airflow where it’s needed most. Made from durable materials, this circulator is designed to withstand daily use while maintaining its performance, ensuring longevity.

Quiet Operation Unlike noisy fans, the EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator operates very quietly.

User-Friendly and Low Maintenance The EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator has simple controls and requires little maintenance—no filters to replace or complicated features to manage. It also comes with a handy remote that is responsive and functional.

Cons:

Not Suitable for Larger Rooms This air circulator works best in smaller spaces, so it may not provide sufficient airflow in large rooms or open-plan areas without multiple units.

No Direct Cooling Function Since it only circulates air and doesn’t cool it, this unit is not ideal for those looking for a cooler air environment.

Price It's not the cheapest on the market for a fan/air circulator.

Conclusion: The Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator is an excellent choice for a quiet, energy-efficient way to improve airflow in smaller personal spaces. It’s perfect for desks, bedrooms, or home offices. However, it’s important to remember that this is not a cooling unit and is best suited for spaces where air circulation is needed rather than temperature control. For users looking for a basic, low-maintenance air circulator, it offers solid performance in a compact and affordable package.

Game-Changer for Comfortable, Restful Sleep and Efficient Cooling” – My child overheats and needs constant air movement to sleep, especially during warmer months. The Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator has been a lifesaver! It delivers superior air circulation with excellent coverage and energy efficiency, from whisper-quiet airflow to powerful turbo speeds. Whether used alone or with air purifiers or… Read more

dehumidifiers, it optimizes comfort and air quality. Since using it, my child’s sleep has been noticeably deeper and more restorative.

Pros • Modern design that suits most home decor • Powerful fan with horizontal and vertical oscillation for targeted airflow • Remote control convenience • Quiet operation on lower speeds

Cons • Louder on higher speeds, though lower settings are both quieter and just as effective • Larger size than expected, but this adds to its excellent performance • 2.5GHz WiFi compatibility limits connectivity with 5G networks

Despite these minor cons, the fan’s strong performance and durable build make it a fantastic addition. I’m already planning to purchase a second unit for our home office, where it will easily outperform the ceiling fan.

A very capable fan with a small footprint – After reviewing this fan (Air circulator) for a few days while it was very hot I can say that this fan is a very capable little machine. I am comparing this to a cheap bladeless fan I purchased recently on a similar price range: Positives: First of all It looks good! Grey or black both look sleek and modern It is very quiet in operation that… Read more

makes it suitable for using at night (Definitely way quieter than a normal fan or even some of the cheaper bladeless models)

It is extremely powerful thus you do not have to run it on high speeds to circulate a decent amount of air

It is very small and light in size so it can be placed on a desk or a chair and tucked away easily when not in use (Very convenient for apartments or those who want to take the fan with them in different rooms etc)

It has a a huge range of oscillation (the best I have seen in a fan of its type) for both up/down and left/right (you can have it pointing directly upwards to the ceiling for example; which could make this useful for instance if you want to have it not blowing air directly at you)

It has a remote control and you can also control all its functions from an app from your phone via wifi It has a timer to turn off and timer of when to turn on and the bonus thing I really like it has a ''turbo'' button that blows air on ''super''speed for a few seconds (this might be useful for instance if you want to cool yourself down after intense exercise)

Negatives: Of course if you ramp up the speed it will get noisier, there are 12 speed levels usually overnight I have it on level 4-5 and that is quiet enough for me to sleep without disturbance but any higher it can get a bit noisy

The oscillation is a bit slow for my liking and if you want to set it on a particular angle you have to get it to oscillate on that specific spot which could take a while, it would have been better if you could get it to oscillate one way then stop it and start it to go the other way rather than always in the same direction as you have to wait for it to complete the oscillation and come back to where you want it.

The app on the phone offers nothing more than what the remote does really in most realistic situations you will not require the app to control this machine (But its good to have a choice in case you lose the remote or it runs out of battery)

It is so versatile that my only problem is where to use it – I got the Ausclimate Ecosmart 'Desk' Air Circulator for my desk but realised very quickly that it has much more power. Here are the uses that I have had over the last few weeks... - In my bedroom on a balmy Australian night and it completely kept me cool through the night. - On a warm weekend we had the split A/C on and I used it to circulate… Read more

the air around the area - amazing - Finally I have used it on my desk and it very suitable and powerful in my home office but it no longer resides there.

As I said my only problem is where best to use it because it is so versatile. It started in the office but quickly took up residence between my bedroom and the living area. There are so many things to love my only problem is where to use it.... or just get another one is probably the better solution.

Pros - I quite like the look - it is a grey cloth exterior and reminds me alot of my amazon echo dot when they first came out. - The range on the unit is great. The horizontal and vertical movement really allows for smart air movement and you can select just one or both movements together. - Speed is so strong it comfortably cools and circulates in my room and our open living area with ease. - Is connected to wifi has an app as well as connectivity to Google Home. This is coupled with a physical remote controller and buttons on the system for people who aren't interested in connecting wirelessly. - You can set routines so it switched on and off at certain times but I haven't used this functionality (I save that for automatic lights)

Cons (Really nothing major to mention) - I am being picky here but I hate that every device has its own app. Just clutters my phone (may be necessary but just a very minor gripe) - Connecting the unit took a little time - however that could well be user error as well :) - On the pricey side but as the old adage goes 'you get what you pay for'.

Overall: I didn't realise how much I needed this fan and now I realise I need at least two. The unit is nice to look at, it has genuinely amazing functionality so it ticks the boxes for form and function in my eyes. Add to this that its an Australian owned and operated company and it is a big winner for me. You can stop reading now and go buy one.. you won't regret the purchase.

A small fan air circulator with big power – I'm really impressed with this item, it not only looks very elegant, but it also fits well into my space and the fabric is very nice in feel and colour and it perfectly matches my décor. Using the remote is super easy and it has all the functions you would want, the (strong wind/ turbo mode) function is so powerful and with that power comes a… Read more

little noise from the fan itself, but it's not loud, I mean it won't be an issue. The (strong wind/turbo mode) function runs for only 2 to 3 minutes due to it being at full speed and then it slows down to speed 12, I was waiting for it to bump back to turbo mode automatically but I had to click the remote back to turbo, the booklet says it only runs at turbo for 2 to 3 minutes before dropping back however it doesn't say whether it's supposed to automatically go back to turbo after another 2 to 3 minutes before going to speed 12, but after some testing, If you want turbo you have to keep clicking the remote as it does not automatically bump into that zone, that's a little pain but a pain I can live with because turbo will only be an occasional for me.

The lights are nice and bright on the base of the fan and you can see ( from a distance and if your eyes are good ) what speed your on as each green dot represents the speed IE 1 green dot and your fan speed is 1 and 5 green dots and your fan speed is 5 and when your using ( strong wind/ turbo mode) then all the lights are going on and off in a line so you know from that what setting your on. The base is easy to use for turning it on and doing all the functions the remote does, However their is no wi-fi button on the remote it's only on the base. I only use the base for turning it on if I am close to it and don't have my remote close enough and then once it running you just use remote for everything. Lets talk about the button illumination....the only buttons that illuminate are the speed buttons from using the remote or the function panel on the base and when you press the wi-fi button on the base it shows green and is Osc side to side (without a wi-fi connected) and the Osc up and down, but you only get the buttons glowing green for Osc up and down or side to side from pressing them on the unit itself, it does not happen when using the remote none of the other buttons seem to go green or illuminate not even pressing them on the base, it's a little disappointing it would have been nice to have all the functions illuminate on the base, even turbo mode doesn't light up but the fan speed does, so I guess they thought fan speed illumination was the best fit for it, and the booklet talks about button/s illumination but it does not clearly specify which buttons should be lighting up or whether they all only illuminate if your using it via a proper wi-fi connection ? So that's bit vague. Plus the booklet says that all functions of the fan can be activated via the remote but their is 1 function that can't be operated via the remote and that's the wi-fi, but yes everything else can.

The distance range for using the remote isn't too bad either and I didn't have to line up the remote with front part of the fan base for me to use it from in the hall to start the fan in the lounge room, no obstacles of course like no walls in the way and you don't have to be very close either. plus the distance for the fan to reach you is also quite good for it's size especially on speeds that are set at 5 or above, anything below that and you really need to have it a bit closer to you, but I use it on Osc side to side in conjunction with my ceiling fans and it just makes the air circulation so much better and it's also good at circulating the cool air when I'm using my split system aircon, because this little fan is sitting on my side table directly under my split system and the split system is high on the wall near the ceiling and as everyone knows the cool air falls to the ground but when I use my air circulator it seems to push the cool air from the aircon before it hits the floor, thus making my house feel cooler and that's set to Osc side to side, but when winter time comes and we all know hot air rises from your split system then I can't wait to try it on Osc up and down to circulate that warm air from sitting at ceiling height in winter.

The instruction booklet doesn't show you or tell you how to take take the cover off for replacing battery and the bit that you remove is a little flimsy, its taken me longer than it should to work out how to remove the cover for battery replacement, but I got it open lol so given that it took an adult IE me a little while to get it open, then it will be pretty hard for kids to open it, but their is still the warning on the back of remote about choking hazards for the button battery etc.

The timer function is good and makes it easy to set and forget, it's great for when I'm out shopping and my little dog is home on her own and if it's going to be hot, I just set the fan timer to come on from between 1 hour to 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours in advance and when it comes on with timer it is on the same function you had previously like fan speed.

The wi-fi set up can only be used on (proper wi-fi) and won't work with 3g or 4g which is specified by the booklet and can only be accessed via the base of the fan their is nothing on the remote for wi-fi use, but I wasn't able to use that function at my home because not only does my town not have 5g yet but I only have 4g but not NBN. I also scanned the QR code in the booklet for pairing with my iPhone and it said the QR code campaign has been disabled for some reason but it said my QR code reader/scanner was working fine, I imagine I would also only need to pair my iPhone with the fan if I was going to be using the wi-fi functions.

I had my air circulator running for about 4 hours yesterday as it was about 35 degrees outside here and I was concerned about it getting hot to touch with the fabric plus its small and was running on speed 5 or 6 for the 4 hours but when I touch the top of it, it was not hot from running that long, being fabric covered I thought it be overheating but it is not an issue.

Overall its a great little item, its sits nicely on my table top without any wobbles even at turbo speed it's very stable and also when you turn it off it stops quickly. I do recommend.

The Desk Air Circulator that will blow you away – *I just wanted to share an update on the Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator—it's truly exceptional! Four of my employees were so impressed that they ended up purchasing a total of nine units for themselves and their families. They absolutely love it! If that’s not a testament to how amazing this product is, I don’t know what is!* I’ve been… Read more

using the Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator, honestly I’m impressed. Despite its small size, this fan really does its job—and then some! The temperature difference between my office and the rest of the building is noticeable. It keeps my workspace cool and comfortable, even on the hottest days.

One of the things I love most is the range of fan speeds. With 12 different settings, there’s literally something for everyone. Whether I need a gentle breeze or a stronger airflow, it adapts perfectly. Plus, it’s incredibly easy to use. The simple controls mean I’m not fumbling around to adjust it, and it even comes with a remote, so I don’t have to get up to make changes.

The design is another highlight—it’s sleek and modern, so it looks great in my office without sticking out like an eyesore. It’s also whisper-quiet, which is amazing because I can stay focused on work or take calls without background noise distracting me.

Another feature that’s blown me away (pun intended!) is the multi-directional oscillation. It moves air around the entire room, eliminating those annoying hot spots. I’ve noticed how evenly it circulates the air, making my office feel fresh and balanced.

The energy efficiency is just the cherry on top. I don’t have to feel guilty about leaving it on for hours since it’s designed to use less power. And, for those who love tech (like me), the Wi-Fi connectivity is a fun bonus—I can control it from my phone or tablet when I’m busy.

Overall, this fan truly delivers. It’s stylish, practical, and incredibly effective. If you’re looking for a small fan that packs a punch, the Ausclimate EcoSmart Desk Air Circulator is definitely worth it. It’s a game-changer for my office, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Very 'cool' look and works a treat – Just love the look of this fan/air circulator. Very modern/stylish. The versatility of the fan movement is easily controlled by manually pressing the buttons on the fan, via the supplied remote control or you can operate via an app. I don't use the app as it's not necessary for my usage. and side to side. There are also 12 speed settings and a turbo mode, which really is a blast! I find the middle range around 6 is a good speed to run the fan. The fan does have 'noise' and it's a different sound depending on what level/speed the fan is set to. I noticed it at first but after a while it wasn't annoying. It has a large base for its size/weight, so it's very stable. The build is also solid and so much better than flimsy cheap fans. The price seems high for a small fan, but it does pack a punch. The air flow is noticeable and relieving in the small space that I work within around my computer. I have a shed with a lot of packed shelves that gets quite hot, and it did get mould, so in March 2022 I purchased an Ausclimate dehumidifier. These days, I find that the fan is great to use in conjunction with the dehumidifier to enable the humid air to be circulated around the shed and find its way into the dehumidifier.

A nice little fan unit – A decent desk fan that works well, is nice and quiet at the lower speeds and has a good range of oscillation side to side and up/down. I felt that the air was moved really well all around vs a standard fan that hits you right in the face constantly. The remote control is responsive and has a good range and the unit itself is quite pleasing on… Read more

the eye compared to regular fans. If you ramp up the speed to higher numbers it really pushes the air around for a small machine but the noise elevates significantly, so you wouldn't try and sleep with it on this way. Button presses are crisp and responsive. The only thing I would like to see would be a range of movement being selectable for the oscillations, rather than just all the way left, right, up and down.

However, whilst all that was good, it's attempt at being an App controlled device on a home network is terrible. It was really hard to setup, demanded a 2.4ghz network only (suggested I disconnect my 5ghz network), the instructions on the App didn't reflect what was happening on the device and the QR code for more instructions (listed in the manual) was a discontinued site. It required a lot of jiggery pokery to make this work. I run two networks, a 5ghz and 2.4ghz (which most people do now) and it wouldn't find the 2.4ghz one at all, but try and attach to the 5ghz one. Needless to say that doesn't work, so it all had to be manual input. It only had one "blinking light" mode during pairing but the App was asking if there was fast or slow. If you chose slow it asked you to connect to the device's own wireless access point which didn't exist. The light itself wasn't that fast as the question was "is the light blinking rapidly". It wasn't, it was neither slow nor fast but you got asked both questions regardless even though there's one mode only.

I finally got it recognised, paired and running after sitting the fan right next to the 2.4ghz network router. When that was done the App control was ok, until it started to disconnect. Then reconnect, then disconnect. I tested this in and out of the room and it continued. I removed it all, started again and it was more stable. I unplugged the fan and moved it to other rooms. Nothing. The fan doesn't seem to keep it's settings and ceases to respond to the network after being turned off. Walls are plaster and timber, not concrete or earthworks. This is a pointless affair when you have to move it very close to the Router to configure it, then move it. One of the worst IOT device connections i've seen yet and i've done power-points, power-boards, light bulbs, cameras and numerous other wi-fi connected things.

Overall though, quite a nice fan with the remote control but the whole App control and networking was just terrible and the instructions useless on the App, in the manual and the non-existent QR code site. Even when it was able to be app controlled, the features were basically the same as the buttons on the remote control. Update the firmware with device update if anything as that's just good practice but I couldn't see anything else worth the effort.
