Australian Concrete Designs

Don't waste your money – I wish we never came across Louis Mardini of Australian Concrete Designs. His worksmanship is disgusting. 3 months after the driveway as laid it started to crack. Long story short, we pursued him through the Department of Fair Trading and they ruled in our favour to the tune of $19k to have the driveway ripped up and replaced. Not once did he make an appearance and then had the nerve to put his company into liquidation and start up under a new name. This guy is shonky - I've since found a lot more dissatisfied customers who also had the same problem with their concrete cracking. And for Louis to tell me it was due to movement, well I guess every other unhappy customer must have experienced the same problem. Mind you, our path down the side of the house which was done by someone else is as good as the day it was laid. I submitted independent reports to Fair Trading as to the cause of my driveway cracking and neither of the reports said it was due to movement.

This guy is now set up under a different name and doing work for Metricon Homes. I did warn Metricon Homes but they have taken no notice.

Bad job – Had driveway and side access done before Christmas. The concrete is already starting to crack in multiple spots, the concrete wasn't even sealed properly and they didn't even bother to cover our brand new colourbond fence so now it is filthy. Only good thing was the friendliness and promptness, but that doesn't guarantee a good job. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

AUS Design Concrete – Just had our old driveway removed & a new one laid. Aus Design Concrete were great right from the start, efficient, on time, courteous, well presented,reasonable price as well as doing a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!!!
