No-showed on appointment made weeks before, stayed home from work for it. When called 20 minutes after appointment time told me they cancelled the appointment as they didnt want to deal with council requirements. Was never informed, person on the phone was very nasty about it and didnt care... "just the messenger", very poor. Stay away.

company ourselves to get updates on the expected arrival time. It felt like we were chasing information rather than being kept informed as customers.

Once the installation was completed, we noticed several quality concerns:

- The blind panels look completely different from each other. One panel is significantly darker while the other is lighter and more transparent, making the installation look mismatched. - This variation was never explained during the sales process, and we could not find examples of this appearance in the photos shown on the company's website or social media. - There is a noticeable gap at the top of the front blind, which affects the overall finish and appearance. - The new blinds also have visible with same damage in only 1 day and some damage on the frame.

What has been most frustrating is the lack of customer support after the installation. I contacted the office to discuss these issues and request a resolution, but my calls were not returned and my emails went unanswered. I then contacted the sales representative directly, who advised that a manager would contact me. Unfortunately, no one ever called or followed up.

throughout the project that there was very poor communication between the different trades involved.

Overall, the experience has given the impression that the company acts mainly as a middleman, applying significant mark-ups on materials while subcontracting the actual work to tradespeople who you pay. with very little coordination or quality control between them. Whilst the deck issues eventuality got fixed the blinds did not... for 20K really disappointing

What a transformation - can’t believe the impact of having these sealed, insect proof patio blinds installed on our patio. 2nd Patio/Carport installed by AOL Perth. We are very happy with the end result and the installers on the day, same ones that installed our 1st Patio. They take great care to ensure a quality build. One of the most professional companies I have dealt with. Bought our blinds mostly for the Western sun but the amount of rain they keep out due to the quality is exceptional. Has transformed out outdoor area. Our last lot of blinds didn't block out anywhere near the elements as these do. Show reply

Purchased a motorised outdoor blind. The sales rep Vicky came to our house and was very nice to deal with. What set the product apart from others we saw was the material as it looked more solid. Photos post storm below. Price was comparable to other main steam suppliers a bit on the pricey side compared to more independent suppliers but quality and installstion was different. The lead time is around 6-8 weeks.

 Follow-up  · These blinds are great in the winds, we do roll them up in big storms as per recommendations. The sun protection is great, we chose a lighter colour so it wasn’t too hot. The blinds are super easy to clean with warm soapy water a soft broom.

 Follow-up  · No reason to clean at this point They look great. We're very happy with our choice. They block the sun well and we still can see through it.

We recently had zip-blinds installed and the process has been a disaster. Lack of continuity in regard to information received, and after sale service has been a real issue: 1. a mistake when AOL measured up resulted in extra charge, when larger post swapped out for smaller size post. 2. installer had heated argument with AOL office staff… Read more

regarding removal of existing post. So we then had too many posts left behind.

3. initially informed tiling could be completed after installation only to be told that blind tracks will need to be removed for future access purposes at an extra cost of $550 and that this would not occur for at least two weeks.

4. Contacted office and spoke with general manager to voice our concerns who has attempted to solve future cost incurred.

4. after rainfall we detected water leak coming out from blind-header box. Office staff blamed this on gutter despite there not being any issues prior to install. Reluctant to send anyone out to check unless remaining 10% was paid, despite work not being satisfactory.

5. Instead of sending installer back out to check leak, we received an email stating 'not our fault' that water is pooling and flowing into blind-box.

Very stressful experience. Do not proceed with AOL.

he measured. He is FIFO with specific days available. [Name Removed]'s attitude 'too bad, too sad'. Apparently [Name Removed] came when none was home did measurements (no vision of visit on cctv). We were given install date, ordered skip bin and were set to go. Surprise, surprise, [Name Removed] rings morning of instal to say installer I'll will have to be after Easter!! We were not happy but again his attitude was 'too bad, too sad'. Reception staff and young lady quote 10 star service. So called manager [Name Removed] lets whole team down.

Really not sure how they get 5 star reviews. Poor customer service and multiple let downs. 1: initial dealings Around Sep 2025 we had Destini come over for a quote/ measure which turned out to be an elongated 3 hour visit, mostly small talk. We received a $70k+ quote for a deck, veranda and blinds. Which was ridiculous. We enquired as to why… Read more

we weren’t getting the well advertised summer deal and why the cost was so high. She of course “checked with the manager”. The quote was then lowered to $53k. 1st red flag.

After this though we never heard back from Destini.

2: 2nd go

After not hearing from Destini we contacted AOL around Jan-Feb 2026. This time we got Rob. A likable guy who insisted a communication error occurred as Destini had since moved on from AOL.

Rob hastily booked a new measure and quote, driving 2 hours to us. A quote was done, however this time the cost was 5-10k more expensive and that excluded the blinds.

We went ahead to the contract phase anyway, hoping to start our slow going project.

3: Contract and despicable/ legally questionable contract terms

We were sent a final contract riddled with obvious errors. The biggest issue however was the insistence by AOL that they received 90-95% of the project funds on delivery of the materials. Prior to any actual building or surveyor checks for each stage. Initially the admin person Mohamad said they can compromise on this. We sought legal advice which supported our thoughts that the payment schedule should be more staggered to protect us. In the end they refused to adjust their terms. In reply we cancelled the project. They did return our deposit of $1k which we were very happy about.

Bottom line:

Avoid these guys. Too many red flags, poor customer service, shonky marketing and sales tactics and very questionable contract terms. They are not the glossy company they pretend to be on their adverts.

installed. The ODK installation crew was excellent and finished the job quite quickly. The blinds installation person was efficient and make sure every nut and bolt were robust and strong considering the winds we sometimes get. The blinds installation a bit longer than the ODK installation. Overall very happy with the look of the ODK and Blinds.

worked well. My new blind appears to be as good as the previous ones. The quality of my blinds is very good. They have held up to the weather.
