Appointment was missed with no phone call to advise of appointment being cancelled. Very unhappy as I had taken the afternoon off work to attend the appointment. Additionally, even after making two follow-up phone calls to find out where the consultant was and when they would reschedule the appointment, no return phone call was received.

Everything was handled so professionally. From the initial showroom visit, to the full assessment and quote, to the final installation. Very happy with the end product. The outdoor blinds are performing exactly as I expected.

Planning: punctual, routine.
Pricing: slightly dearer than we thought.
Council Approval: took ages, however we were pre warned.
Building itself: went very smoothly and proceeded how we were informed it would happen. Materials came Friday, started building the following Monday.
Builder (Bill), was easy to get on with and notified us promptly if any issues were apparent. Answered any of our concerns with ease. Recommend this Bill the builder, very highly.

I have never had such a great experience from the quote to installation. There was no pressure to buy or select the most expensive blinds in the range. The installers rang before the installation and even when the rain delayed the install they were prompt in calling and rescheduling the installation to suit . The blinds look amazing, I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so that I can enjoy this updated outdoor space.

We arranged childcare for our two toddlers and the session ran for an hour during which we went through multiples design options. All was going well until we advised that we needed to collect the children and end the appointment. We reluctantly agreed to another 40mins which turned into another hour plus with the kids sat with us. We received a quote easily but then were asked if we were happy for him to contact his manager to see if he could get us a discount BUT ...

I politely smiled, as any intelligent person would, at this sales tactic (from the 1990’s) and explained that I would still be getting two other quotes to compare the quality/timelines/price against. This is where the mood changed. I explained that it was the kids bed time (yes it was that late!) and that we’d need to wrap up for the day at-least three times. Each time I was ignored and the awkward and embarrassing pressure tactics (expected of a 1990’s car salesman) continued. I can now see from several hundred other reviews that this is their style. I didn’t entertain it and literally asked him to leave. Instead of respecting my wishes he called his manager to “register the quote” and started talking about us in a disrespectful way “they have this several quote system” “they won’t find a product that compares so it’s pointless” “they’ll need 12 quotes before they’re even close to making a decision”. I had to disturb his call and tell him to leave to which he responded to by saying “she’s actually kicking me out!”. I would have laughed out loud had my two daughters not been sitting with me asking who the man is. The products do appear to be long lasting (from the long spiel of content that was already available on their website) but all questions about the need for marine grade options for properties near the ocean, couldn’t be answered. The cupboard designs and colour palettes were outdated and not aesthetically pleasing. The pergola in particular looked industrial and simple suited to a council building rather than custom designed for modern coastal luxury home. Not only would we not use this company, we would not ever allow them onto our property again after the disrespect behaviour shown in todays quote.- Customer Service

We have used AOL on 3 separate occasions now and each time we have found the whole experience from start to finish to be handled by knowledgeable people who give great advice on choosing the right product. They work out the best way to do the install and have always been on time with delivery and installation. Installation has been great every time. The thing we like too is the quality. Very robust material which you know is going to stand up to the outdoor conditions, including strong winds. We highly recommend AOL.

We had requested installation in end of June or first week of July. The Sales guy confirmed after talking to install manager that it cannot be done before 15 July and there might be delay if weather is inclement and/or staff calls in sick. We signed contract on 9th May and paid the deposit.

AOL installed outdoor blinds on our balcony. The discussion was easy and they were very knowledgeable. Installation was fast and we're very happy with the quality. We would use them again.

We've recently had a pergola installed by AOL at a cost of $10, 922. Unfortunately each panel has been scratched. Not to mention the delay of this taking a number of months as they originally put wooden posts in instead of aluminium and needed to come back as the job was incomplete. They have offered a price reductio of $522 for the scratches? That sis 4.77% How much do you think is reasonable? I don't think 4.77% is enough.
I asked for all the scratched panels to be replaced as the discount was ridiculous for an almost $11k product!
