ADG -Absolute Dodgy Guys!! – Let me tell you about my experience with this Business. We had their Sales guy come out and look at our windows that required replacing, Pricing was Quite Good, Dimensions taken and our deposit taken in September 2014, 40% of the Window Cost Paid on the 8th October 2014 with a turn around time of between 15 - 20 Weeks, Given an estimated install… Read more

date of Late February 2015. after a few calls to their office to get an update, was advised that install would be delayed until end of April 2015. Received a call advising that the windows were here and that a further 40 % payable. Paid the 40%, Install team doesn't turn up. Phone office, get lied to and finally told they would be their 2 days later, 2 days pass, install team arrive... Windows DO NOT FIT!. Get a call from sales guy advising that wrong Measurements sent to IRELAND (Where windows are manufactured) will have to wait another 15-20 weeks...

Offered compensation of Flyscreens to all new Windows. (They keep 90% of the payment!) Mid September 2015, get a call that windows are now in and will be installed later during the Month.. 1 Happy person, finally!. Installation team arrive and knock the job out, Windows look great, Install team are great guys and couldn't do enough to help. I get left with a slip of paper to sign and to make the final payment. I enquire as to where the fly screens are and am told that "Once I have paid for the balance of my windows, they would send someone around to measure and get the fly screens done.. As you can imagine, after having them sit on 90% of the payment for nearly six months they wont do the fly screens until the balance is paid.. The job is not finished, why would I pay the balance when the Job is not finished" I have called, emailed and have received no response. It is now December, 3 months since installation and not finished... Whilst the products that they sell are good and their installation team were good guys, their customer service team, Management and sales team are not the best. After Reading others comments I am relieved that I wasn't rolled for the whole 30K.

Amazingly unprofessional company – We spent over $20k on windows. Three arrived the wrong size, and a sliding door is back to front (weather seals on the wrong side). We had excuses, delays and outright lies for months, but we at least ended up with windows - so I guess we were among the lucky ones!

ADG Windows – Hi all. Australian Double Glazing (ACN 152 567 247/ ABN 69152567247) went into liquidation on the 10/09/2014. G S Andrews & Associates, 22 Drummond Street Carlton were appointed as the liquidator. John Stanley Heath was the Director of the company at the time. This company was first registered on the 09/08/2011. On the 02/10/2013 the… Read more

company ADG Windows Pty Ltd (ACN 166 098 273/ ABN 60166098273) was registered. Once again John Stanley Heath was listed as the Director and as of today, he still is.

When Australian Double Glazing went into liquidation John Heath continued to trade under ADG windows Pty Ltd.

I have lodged complaints with Consumer Affairs and ASIC.

During this process I have also spoken and emailed Camden Group direct. On all occasions I have been directed to a male purporting to be John Robb their Accounts Manager. As have some of you, I too have been told to just pay John Heath and deal direct with him as the sole distributer in Australia.

I'd suggest that you all seek advice from Consumer Affairs and ASIC and make a complaint where recommended. I'd also suggest you seek legal advice.

For those that have paid out large sums of money and received no product at all, I'd suggest you seek advice from police regarding any possible criminal offences committed.

Good luck.

Thanx for sharing ADG experience - mine similar – Hi we ordered windows back in Sept 2015 and have not been able to get onto the owner. I have rung the Camden group in the UK and they have indicated the last shipment to Australia was in December 2015 and so either my windows were never ordered or they are sitting in a warehouse in Melbourne. Suffice to say it is looking like .My $10k deposit has… Read more

ADG..Amazingly Dodgy Geezer – We ordered and paid deposit for our windows in June 2015. No communication from this mob until November 2015 which was the 20 week stage. Just pathetic delaying tactics saying the container wasn't arriving until February 2016. Had to continually chase ADG when finally they said that the windows have arrived and are ready for installation just… Read more

after Easter and a further payment was required. Paid the money.....in hindsight not a good decision. Amazing excuses on a daily basis from John Heath. I pestered him twice a day with phone calls plus text messages. He finally got sick of my calls and delivered our windows. That was nearly 4 weeks ago and there's been no communication since despite daily calls and many texts. I'm glad we have the windows but need them installed as per bloody contract. Not going to hold my breath however. I've never come across such an unscrupulous company before. Nothing but lies and crap excuses.

Bunch of thieves – We ordered new windows and doors for our home on the 1st of July 2015 with Australian Double Glazing (ADG) with the promise of installation before Christmas. We are still waiting. We paid an initial deposit of $1899.99 and a site measurement payment of $6,983.31 and signed a contract. The contract states that the company (ADG) may cancel the… Read more

contract prior to delivery and shall repay the customer sums paid. ADG has ignored requests for repayment of deposit. They have broken their contract and kept the money, what a bunch of thieves.

On the 22 of January 2016 we were advised by ADG that the UK factory where windows are made were experiencing delays and that they were now expected in April 2016.

On the 11 of April 2016, I called the Camden Group (the UK factory making the doors and possibly the windows) and they were still recommending I go through their distributor ADG, I informed them that ADG had gone out of business. All they would say is that ADG was in their data base a distributor.

I have called Australian Double Glazing throughout April with the same result, phones would either ring out or go to message bank. Needless to say, all calls have been ignored.

Disappointed – This company has stolen thousands of dollars from me. How can I, or anyone, afford to loose months of wages after entering a contract with what seemed a legitimate company. Deposit paid in August Windows due January. End of April and no windows. Been given a complete run around- calls not returned, promises not kept, emails ignored.

Appauling example of how not to represent or run a business – My wife and I decided to replace our front of house windows with double glazing to provide a more peaceful nursery for our newborn. ADG was recommended and the chirpy salesman provided a quote which we were happy with. Payment terms were alarming with a request for 80% of total to be paid upfront and the remainder upon issue of completion… Read more

certificate. We managed to negotiate a 50% upfront and the balance on satisfactory completion of works and as we had paid a premium for and numerous assurances that the installation would occur prior to Christmas 2015 we sat back and waited for the call to confirm the date. The delaying tactics were amateurish at best and it was late February that we finally had the install - poorly done and incomplete - still waiting on flyscreens and exterior weather proofing. We insisted the owner present personally to hear our concerns and rectify the poor installation - his attitude was extraordinary in its disinterest and obvious ineptitude in running a business competently and I would argue knowledge of his own product. The owner assured us that the instal would be completed within the week and all outstanding items that were paid for would be provided. Then nothing. Polite reminder calls followed increasingly by more formal approached and a deadline delivered last Friday - all ignored. From the sound of things ADG would have very little assets and no cash to return to us all - VCAT can make an order against the business but I suspect the company directors should be the focus here - some advise sought already suggests the Bill of Sale and contract is null and void given there has been no reasonable attempt to complete or provide the service paid for and full repatriation of deposits, costs associated with lost work time waiting for instal, incomplete installation requiring a third party to complete, emotional distress, are all retreavable.

Ripped off – This company needs to be taken to court. Order placed May 2015, handed over $3000 & nothing to show. Excuse after excuse!!!! Now no one picks up phone. The owner John needs to pay back everyone's money!!! There has been a Facebook page started up as well by someone that may interest you, it is called Got Ripped by Australian Double Glazing ADG, check it out if you are on Facebook.

Yes to terrible – Yes another repeat of all same messages. Deposit of $3000. Meant to be installed by January. Such messy business. Have called, emailed, talked to owner who just lies. No front desk now; owners phone is just going to message bank. I assume they've gone into liquidation? So yes legal advice.

Australian Double Glazing IS a scam – We too have lost our deposit. It's heartbreaking and its a disgrace. We've contacted media, CAV and now we're looking into a VCAT order. Next stop: lawyers. Class action, anybody? Don't expect to see this money ever again, but certainly hope to see this man in court. There seems to be more and more of us coming out of the woodwork each day. Happy to discuss offline.

8 months and still no windows – Paid $25000 in August 2015 (50% deposit). Started chasing in February 2016. Were told that windows had been manufactured in the UK, but could not fit in the current container, and that they would be on the next container, expected delivery end of March with installation end April. Currently attempting to get an update. Sales person no longer there. Signs are ominous.

Also 7 months and nothing – Paid over $8200 - and nothing for it, was told in January windows were due. Now difficult to contact - Facebook page has been taken down. Disgraceful treatment of customers paying hard earned money.

7 months still not windows – Like the other reviews we have had a similar experience. Paid the 50% deposit, told it would be between 4 and 5 months until they are installed. Still no windows! Front desk doesn't answer, managed to get a hold of an installer who gave us [name removed] number (the boss as far as I can tell), now he's dodging our calls. We have contacted Consumer… Read more

Seemed good ... until recently – This IS interesting. I have had a similar situation (having paid thousands in October 2015, up to 50% of the quoted cost) and being told the windows have arrived in January 2016 and will be installed in March 2016. It is now April 2016 and I have contacted them 3 times each time being told that they are behind and I will receive an installation… Read more

date soon. I have still not received an installation date and am now considering that legal action and a report to an ombudsman or trading watchdog will be required. I hoped not as previous interactions with staff had been good and they seemed honest up to this point, but this looks bad for them.

This company is a scam - do not use them – I put a deposit for windows and months later - after guaranteeing the installation date - I am told on the date that the installation is to go ahead that it cannot happen. Now need to go through the saga of even seeing if I can get my deposit back!

Warning - do not pay money to this company – After placing my order & paying over $3000 deposit, I patiently waited 5 months with no word of when my installation would take place. 6 phone calls later in an attempt to find out, I am told by the owner of the company that my order went in the 'too hard basket' and my windows have not in fact been made. business customer service – The business had no contact with us for 5 months after receiving $3000 deposit. We had to chase and chase them for out windows and they wanted another $3000 before installing. When they arrived and were the wrong size we agreed to have the deposit refunded. Its now a month later and after excuse after excuse I'm still waiting for my deposit. Im not the only one but they have removed all reviews from their web. Why?
