Would add minus if I could. Installed ducted heating/cooling last Oct, spent 6 months trying to get them to fix it. When Midea finally inspected the installation in the roof it was a horror show, ducting bent around trusses, collapsed ducting, wrong return setup, outdoor unit not secured, ducting connected with one piece of tape, then AEU couldn’t… Read more
get the installer back out because they had sacked them already for so much faulty work since ours was installed, new company come out and told me they noticed the ducting was also wrong grading so would tear easily and not hold heat or cooling properly, but because Midea didn’t see this, AEU is ignoring it. AEU is also now saying Midea is refusing to come back out and check the repairs which both Midea and AEU agreed they would do when they first came out. Have requested paperwork for the repairs to the original work and are being told there is none. AEU has had to be followed up the whole time can’t make a call or send an email when they say the will. Now we’re off to consumer affairs. Do yourself a favour and bypass.

Australian Energy provided a quick quote for a heat pump HWS and installation was organised quickly and the installers arrived when they said they would and completed the job and cleaned up afterwards. Excellent experience – Communication was easy, quick and reliable. Our situation was complicated and they were flexible and helpful. The installers communicated well, were prompt, pleasant and friendly. Some of the invested tradespeople I've had to deal with. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves to the extent that they vacuumed up after themselves wherever they had walked inside, despite the work being done outside. A great job. installation was expertly done by their team, follow up has been exceptional. All in all this process has been the easiest and most straightforward commercial transaction I have made in the recent past.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending AEU if like me you are looking at replacing your gas hot water with an equivalent electric system.

our Instantaneous Gas HWS was causing. 1) We no longer waste litres of water waiting for hot water to reach the kitchen sink. 2) The hot water is now actually hot at the sink. 3) The ever increasing cost of gas. The Heat Pump unit has now been set to only operate during daylight hours, to take advantage of our Solar System. The water stored over night is still piping hot in the morning for showering. We are looking forward, and expecting, to see an overall reduction in our household energy cost.
