fantastic and gone above and beyond for us, checking up on whether we had been contacted yet by scheduled tradesmen to come look at our concerns and also providing us with the exact paint tin used on our house when we have undergone our own renovation inside the house so we didn't have any slight differences in colour throughout the house. We love our house and have found dealing with av jennings an easy and stress free process.

there’s always an excuse as to why they won't fix them.
The Communication is poor, and they refuse to take any responsibility for their sub par work.
The overall development looks absolutely nothing like the fancy brochures you see in the sales process, Its a sea of plain grey concrete, the landscaping looks terrible ( which is still unfinished 14 months after handover ) and is constantly full of rubbish due to the ongoing construction - It looks like a slum. It’s interesting to see that this is the only development that they haven’t posted on their social media pages- I can see why, as I doubt anyone would want to buy anything from them if they did.
The Driveway - I had one of the warranty guys out to have a look at it, and in his words - It looked terrible. The colour has run out of it and looks like it’s been down for 20 years. After the assessment, the manager then contacted me saying the stains and fading were “wear and tear” obviously I did not accept this. Note - the inspection was done while we weren’t home, with a Van covering majority of the driveway.
Pavers on the porch were installed using silicone - I’m not a builder, but I know this isn’t common practice. As a result, they’ve fallen off twice. I will note, they have been fixed but its only a matter of time before they fall off again.
The site office, that’s sitting in the middle of the development infront of my house, was meant to be removed before settlement is yet to be removed. Its sitting on top of the common area car park and is an absolute eyesore. It’s now been 15 months.
The paintwork inside the house is shocking - the pictures attached were taken AFTER it was “fixed”
The house is full of cheap materials
Theres been a heap of leaks
Carpet has rippled after 3 months
The biggest issue is the lack of soundproofing / Insulation. I understand being in a townhouse, you’re subject to some noise from your neighbours, however there is absolutely no soundproofing within the shared walls. To give you an idea, you can hear my neighbours talking through the walls. When their TV is on, or if they’re playing music its unbearable. Its at the point where if my neighbours have guests over, I have to leave the house. Even if their TV is on low, you can hear everything.
I brought this up with the warranty department and someone came out. They were very helpful at the time, and even went over to our next for neighbours to see how loud their TV was. They were surprised to find the volume on their TV was low, despite hearing it though the walls. We had a lengthy conversation with him, he acknowledged there was an issue and said that it will need to be investigated further.
I was feeling good about it as I was told they would look into it further, and try and come up with a solution to fix the issue. Fast forward 3 weeks and the manager contacted me saying that the soundproofing was adequate, and that they won’t be fixing anything.
This obviously took me by surprise as this was a complete contradiction to what I was told by the inspector 3 weeks beforehand. Apparently they did “multiple site visits” The last time someone came out to “inspect the issue” he walked up to the footpath, looked at the front door, and walked away ( I was overseas at the time and saw this on CCTV ) This was one of the “Multiple inspections”
I brought this up with them, and was told as the occupancy certificate was provided, and that the house was built to code, they weren’t going to take any responsibility. This is a post settlement issue, I’ve been putting up with this for over a year now and they’re basing this outcome on documents that were issued and inspections that were done pre settlement. To fix this, I’ll have to fork out over $5,000 - which is something I shouldn’t have to pay for after paying $475,000 for a glorified tin shed.
Usually, I wouldn’t go to the effort of writing a review like this, however my last two emails have gone unanswered and no one is willing to help. I really thought after someone coming over and hearing the noise we’re dealing with would finally result in repairs, but they simply don’t care.
If you want a poorly built home, where everything is built to a minimum standard, an AV Jennings home is for you.

Amazing warranty service – We purchased the house from someone who bought it but never moved in. So we were the first to move in! We had a few very minor issues to get fixed up. We contacted AV and they were extremely quick to come out and get it fixed up. water leaks and laminated flooring lifting. I would recommend building with AVJennings as the service before and after is impeccable. Especially a big thank you to Zelco the Building Supervisor and all his effortless kindness. Zelco is very thorough and always has good intentions when providing advice. Just the other day he was on another house roof and noticed I had 2 broken tiles on my roof. Something you don't see every day and out of courtesy he came over and replace them. I just want to say thank you so much and grateful for Zelco going the extra mile to help me out.
