Baby Jogger City Versa

Hands down best pram ever! – If you find one of these amazing prams on the 2nd hand market BUY IT NOW!! Can't quite figure out why baby jogger replaced it with the Premier, which I believe was not as well received as the Versa. I have owned 20 prams and this is by far the best. I bought two, one for home and one for grandparents. It ticks all the boxes. *3 position recline… Read more
*Seat faces either way *One hand recline *One hand fold with seat facing either way *Folds flat. Clean fold with the seat facing inwards so it won't get dirty *Large storage basket underneath *Large mesh pocket on back of seat Hand brake *Excellent 4-wheel suspension *2 magnet close peek-a-boo windows *Hood can be adjusted on the frame for extra air flow or sun protection ***Amazing smooth push - can walk the dog and push the pram one handed at the same time
I don't write many reviews but honestly you won't regret this find on the 2nd hand market, as they are not made any more.
Best Pram Ever! – The Versa would have to be the best pram I have ever used ( and I have used a lot!) It is amazing to push, but also the most sturdy pram. It folds up so easily and the pram can be folded with the seat on or off and always folded with the seat facing either way. The seat is a fantastic size and suits large children. I purchased the GT wheels for… Read more
it separately and they made the pram even more amazing. Has a fantastic sun hood that offers so much coverage.
easily the best pram i have ever owned!!! – sleek, beautiful and so easy to use, its great for traveling with the travel bag and the accessories are fantastic. im shattered they stopped making the baby jogger city versa, very stupid move on baby joggers behalf. i also have the GT wheels that i bought separately which makes it even more amazing. highly recommend!!! My favourite by far – After 13 years of pramming and many many prams, I love the versa. Super compact easy fold. Takes up little room in my boot, and not to heavy to carry. Strong and sturdy with an easy recline, huge basket and massive hood. The basket does drop fairly quickly which is a pain though. The big seat is great for accommodating a larger toddler as well.
Best pram by far – We’ve had Several different prams over the years... some better than others. But this pram.... this pram is my favourite out of all the prams I’ve owned (I’d even rate it higher than my strider compact, and boy did I love that pram). It’s easy to push, its lightweight but feels sturdy, it’s soooooo easy to fold up and light to carry, it doesn’t… Read more
take up a lot of room in the boot and it’s easy to set up too and you can buy attachements so you can use a capsule or a bassinet. I would highly recommend this pram to anyone who only had one baby/child that requires a pram. I’ve heard this pram has been discontinued though (we purchased ours second hand and it was/is in perfect condition) which is really sad because it is just the best.
Best pram! – After realising quite quickly that we wanted a pram that was able to parent face (our first pram we had purchased didn't) we bought the City Versa. We absolutely love it. It's fantastic to push - even over rough surfaces where we live. The seat is comfortable, the pram fits through all supermarket checkouts and it is super easy to fold. I also love that the seat folds inwards, so the actual seat material is protected.
Perfect, why discontinued :-( – I purchased this stroller for my son and used it from birth - 2 year's old. I loved every moment!! Its light weight, folds easily with just one free hand, great suspension and moveability, its compact enough for travel on planes, trains and or just on a bus, its incredible!!
Best pushchair ever! – I've had this pushchair for over three years now and it hasn't missed a beat. I use it almost daily, I bought a McLaren to put in the car and use for shopping centre and appointments (as it takes up less room in the boot) however never use it. I use the Versa instead! I've only used the McLaren on holidays to the coast and overseas. That's because… Read more
the Versa is so easy and practical to use.
It's so easy to push in shopping centres and over grass, gravel etc, the basket is huge and strong (my three year old has started to think it's great fun to sit in the basket instead of the seat), I can hand a large nappy bag over the handle bar without my three year old in the pushchair and it doesn't tip over. It's so easy to fold and unfold. I can easily put a large grocery shop around it in the boot of my Honda CRV ( I don't put anything on the Versa as I don't want to damage it). The seat recline is great and so easy to use (much better than those strap arrangements!) and my son has easily slept in it. The hood is brilliant - very large with two magnetized peek-a-boo windows. The handbrake is strong and easy to use (much better than foot breaks). The ability to reverse the seat was wonderful when my son was younger and it's so easy to do. the fabric gets clean easily and safely in the washing machine. The quality of this pushchair is superb - it' still like new, and the customer service ( I replaced the underbasket after about two and a half years for $50(roughly) through Baby Jogger) is first rate. I'm so glad they still had the accessory considering they had discontinued the Versa. Fabulous pushchair and I'm so glad I've got one.
Great Pram! – I love this pram, it is great to manoeuvre and even slightly jog with. It's steady and the wheels are secure. It rides smoothly and effortlessly. It's lightweight once unfolded however it can be quite heavy when folded. Very happy with purchase!!!! i spent a good $500 at least on my one brand new and haven't had one issue with it yet. Worth the money!
Love this pram! – I LOVE this pram! I bought this pram for my first born and love everything about it! It fold pretty small, which is great for my tiny car boot, I love how you can fold the seat attached to the pram still, bub can face you or the world, it has a massive basket which is great for shopping, the back of the seat has a little pocket which I put… Read more
nappies and wipes in, I love how easy it to push, I can push it with one hand, I love the "handbrake", I love everything about it!!
I've been using this pram almost 2 years now and my son still loves sitting in it. I'm very sad to see this pram has been discontinued!
PERFECT PRAM, nothing negative to say about it – Since I have heard this pram is discontinued I am really sad for future mums because this pram... like the name suggests is so versatile it does everything! make sure you order the versa GT wheel kit from NZ though to make it all terrain. other mums have asked me it the GT wheels really work on the pram THEY DO! becaus ethe versa already has built… Read more
in suspension on all four wheels. now if you get the wheels it voids your warranty incase anything happens because the gt wheels didnt pass the australian standards. but i dont care it makes the ride alot smoother for my child and there is less vibration over gravel which helps with my bad wrists. (swap your wheels back to original ones when claiming warranty-im sure baby jogger will see this but I dont care!! you needed to get those GT wheels approved!) on the versa you can fold with the seat on no matter what way it faces and there are not many other prams on thr market that do this. i know the bugaboo bee fold with the seat on either way but i found you had to stuff around with angling the seat in a certain way first ect ect and not to mention the Versa was alot more robust and takes alot more weight than the bee.
anyway I recomend this pram 100% if you can still get your hands on it.
Perfect stroller – City Versa is a top quality pram for it price range and equals several other much higher cost prams. I had to research for several weeks before I decided to buy this pram for my first baby and this is pram has proved to be the best buy. Pros: 1. Very easy to maneuver with one hand. 2. Very easy to fold with seat facing rear or front (makes… Read more
virtually no difference at all)
3. Light weight - about 11 kg.
4. Fantastic build quality and finish.
5. Compact.
6. Just $499/- a bargain when compared to similar prams.
7. Good suspension back and front.
8. Hand brake, seems strange at first but once familiar easiest to operate...
Cons:
1. Belly bar - extra $25
2. Front wheels are not big enough to negotiate smoothly over thick bumps near kerbs.
Overall: One cannot go wrong with this pram at all !!!
Perfect pram – City Versa is a good quality pram and has some functionalities that pretty much non of the other prams have It's very easy to fold and very slim, you can fold it even with the seat inside! Great for travelling and for saving space! Weigh is average. You can change direction of the seat, as to looking rear or forward, this is particularly… Read more
useful in sunny or windy days. All other prams with this functionality you need to remove the seat to fold the pram, which means more hassle and more space require in you boot.
Lots of accessories, including new born bassinet and other attachable to the pram(bottle holder, etc), a bit overpriced however.
The carry tray is unbelievably spacious and easy to acces, I've many times underestimate it's load capacity and the pram always wins!
Hand-Break on the upper side can't be more convenient, same as looking mechanism in the front wheels, 4 wheels suspension and magnets in the canopy window! This is a pram just perfectly designed!
Wheels are a just big enough for rough surfaces, a bit bigger wheels would make this the perfect pram

The reviews have it wrong! – I'm not sure what everyone is talking about ... This is a terrible pram! Why o why would you even go there? It's bulky, plastic and terrible to push. The chair does not click in and falls out. The hood doesn't stay clipped onto the frame and it's a terrible pull out. The seat fabric is like a hard plastic/ rubber. No wonder everyone is… Read more
suggesting a bugaboo seat liner.
Don't waste your time or effort. I always read the reviews and normally they are right on the money but oh did they get it so wrong with this one.
I now understand why the big stock list like baby kingdom and baby bunting don't keep it as a floor model in NSW.
So many people are suggesting that it replaces their bee and cam from the bugaboo range. I'm not sure I will bother with reviews anymore - they seem to be sales reps trying to boost their sales.
It's really disappointing - it's not even close to the quality of the BJGT or Elite.
Really high position for baby capsule and good for tall parents – We looked all over for a pram with one hand fold, rear and forward facing options and nice and light. This pram met all these needs plus suited my husband and I who are above average height. I am 170cm and he is 182cm. We attached a Chicco Keyfit capsule with an adapter and bub was the highest I have ever seen a bub in a pram which made it great… Read more
for tending to him etc without leaning over. The handle adjust and was perfect for our heights.
I was a bit concerned having bub up so high would make it top heavy, but it didn't tip over on us ever.
I've occasionally found it slightly awkward to fold and lift once folded and this hasn't improved with practice. It fits in a hatchback really nicely with the seat removed or still attached. Overall a great pram, I get asked about alot because of how high bub is and one I would recommend.
The Best!! – I have owned 7 prams/strollers between my three children. The City Versa has easily been the best I've purchased! It's compact, sturdy, can be used as a travel system (which is compatible with a number of different capsule brands), it has a bassinet option, the seat can be forward facing or parent facing. The basket underneath is enormous for… Read more
storage and shopping. The canopy/hood has three sections so that the sun doesn't shine into your child's eyes but doesn't block out their view. There are two peek-a-boo clear windows in the hood so you can check on you little. Also, the lift up flaps to the windows are magnetic so you won't wake up a sleeping baby. You can also attach a skate board if you have a toddler. There are also options like parent console, uv sun protection cover, wind and rain cover, cup holder, insulated bag that can be purchased as accessories. The pram comes in different colours. It has an easy one hand fold mechanism (like the city mini) but even better it can be folded when the seat is in both forward or parent facing (unlike city select). I can't forget to mention that it is slim enough to fit through a normal supermarket checkout, not just the pram/ disabled checkout. It really is such a fantastic, well made pram. Definitely one to consider. It does rrp for around $749 but can be found cheaper from some online stores, when on sale or secondhand.
Can not be used as a double pram/stroller
This is the perfect pram – After reading countless reviews and trawling best buggy uk comparing prams I was sure that the baby jogger city versa was going to be the pram for me. And it was. This pram is great and I get so many compliments over it. It is easy to open and fold. Easy to lift. Easy to steer. It can fit between racks in department stores yet is sturdy… Read more
enough to go anywhere.
I have a very bad back however this pram is great to be lifted.
My only complaint is that we have the chicco car capsule and the adaptor and capsule together aren't as secure as I would of liked. It would be a lot better if it could click in like the Maxi Cosi.
Don't look further then this pram, it's great. I'm sure it's going to last me years. Easy to lift, steer, open and fold. Car seat adaptor
Best pram ever – Love, love, Love this pram! It really is everything I was looking for. Parent or forward facing, one had fold, no need to pull apart to collapse, pushes beautifully, big basket, great big hood, not too heavy and also nice and narrow. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Baby jogger have really created a winner here! Now to buy the cmgtd for this next bundle of joy.
Best Pram EVER – I researched and researched!! My little girl hated the first pram we had (it was a Phil & Ted). Once I found this one I knew it was the one! The seat is reversible so she can see me at all times (even now that she is 9 months she prefers to look at me). There is SO much space under the seat which can easily be accessed no matter what position the… Read more
seat is in!! (This is a massive issue with a lot of prams) It is skinny enough to fit down tight shopping aisles but has the wheels to go off road in the park. It isn't too heavy. Best thing it fits in the back of the car easily and it all folds down in one piece....no need to take the seat off separately. You cannot go wrong with this buy. I have told anyone who would listen to me about this pram. Easy to use, reversible seat, great for shopping and the park
Love, love love it! – I went through 3 other prams before finally finding my perfect pram - the Versa!! I love that the seat can face both ways, it has a huge basket underneath, the hood provides lots of shade for baby, and its so, so easy to fold and push. You also have the option to add a bassinet or a capsule with adaptors. Handle is height-adjustable and brake is… Read more
nice and easy to access. I have the green one and love the colour too! I also purchased the rain cover from Amazon and it is awesome, fits perfectly and easy to get on and off. Worth the money to buy the genuine accessories. Would be nice if some of them were included though, such as a belly bar or child tray.
The only issue I have had was that one of the front wheels kept automatically locking itself. Had to put in a warranty claim through Baby Jogger and they were great. Send me out a new wheel in the post without having to send back the old one. Has been fine since! Seat faces both ways, huge basket, large hood, able to take a capsule or bassinet, easy to fold Doesn't come with accessories, and they are expensive to purchase separetely
love this pram – I have to add that i really enjoy using this pram, i have always liked the baby jogger range and i firstly had the city mini for my baby since birth.. i love the single fold action and its easy to strole with, ive used it for long walks and glides nice on any surfaces, however my husband took that pram in his car so i decided to get another for my… Read more
car so i bought the city versa and i very impressed with its features, yes it is abit heavy but it rides smoothly, my sons very comfortable i love that it can be seated forward and facing me.
I also love the huge basket underneath, and the fact that i dont have to pull it apart to fold it and it also fold in the reverse action with the same quick one hand fold as the city mini... i highly recommend this pram for any new mothers, please consider the baby jogger range before looking at any other prams.
The pram itself has so many accessories and great colour and features... everything wonderful investment... only con is that its abit heavy but manageable
Happy so far – I just recently received this pram so I will have to post a update later. I am a mum of two, a year old son, and a nearly 4 yo girl (17kg) but very tall. I have had two prams before this, both which I loved for different reasons- the steelcraft strider (see my review) and the baby jogger city select double pram. Because of this I was fairly… Read more · 1
certain of what I was looking for in a pram. As my daughter was spending less time in the pram, I sold my city select and started searching for a smaller pram that still had the features I loved. I settled on the versa for these reasons-
Reversible seat
Big basket for shopping
Easy use (no straps to recline only a lift button, easy to reverse seat, easy to fold, etc)
Hand break (having the city select spoiled me and I love the hand break rather than a foot break).
Easy maneuvering
One handed steer
Availability of attachments for later and current use (jogger board, capsule, bassinet). And also the food tray which I love!
Bigger seat for my
Older child
I originally wanted something lighter, but found most prams similar on the market are similar weight and honestly, none of them felt as durable as the versa. Even the new strider is a lot flimsier than my previous one.
I have placed both my one yr old in the seat and my 4 yo and it's still easy to push and steer, and the kids feel comfortable. I like that I can extend the footrest for my daughters longer legs, and also that I can push it down so she can rest her legs on the frame.i trust baby jogger products after my city select- I bought my city select second hand and previously to me it went through 4 kids. The only issue I ever had with it was the brake occasionally stuck and the basket had ripped, but even after it had ripped (it was still functional) my daughter at 17 kilos liked to climb in there and ride and it did not further damage (not recommended by baby jogger!).
I also can use some of my attachments from my previous pram- the city select rain cover fits the versa, the baby jogger board is compatible as well as the capsule attachment. The reason they don't want you using the seat for a newborn to 6 months is for the incline of the seat (the vshape is not suitable for their development of their hips etc). The seat does recline but the shape of the seat angle stays the same.
Even when I bought the strider which seat caters for newborns, I still preferred to buy the bassinet as I know this position is best for bubs under 6 months. So for me, having the seat as 6 months up is not really an issue for me as I would have bought a bassinet anyway.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the pram, I think improvements could be the handle similar to the city select to allow more room when using the skateboard attachment (being able to lengthen the handle rather than swivel), gt wheels instead of the hard plastic (these would make them heavier) and the ability to make the hood higher (like the city select) but my daughter fits in there ok. Durable, feels steady, easy to maneuver, use of compatible attachments, reversible seat, easy to use, suitable for smaller and older children Expensive to buy, especially as it doesn't come with any rain cover etc, wheels could be improved but are ok, a bit heavy (but this makes it steady/ durable) harness can sometimes been annoying with the top straps being able to slide out when trying to clip it together.

Good overall – I am happy with this pram. I admit that I have never used any other prams so I have nothing to compare it to however I find it very easy to use. I go for walks on footpath surfaces and grass surfaces with my son without any issue. It is super light to push around. I love that it folds without having to be taken apart. I also really wanted a… Read more
reversible seat so that my baby could face me if they wanted this and not a lot of other prams offered this option. No problem with it so far in six months. Very light to push around. Folds without having to be taken apart. Expensive especially if you want any additional accessories like rain cover etc. Bassinette is extra cost. A bit heavy to lift in/out of car. 5 point harness straps a little fiddly.
Best Buy Ever! – I debated getting a Versa or a City Mini GT. I got the Versa and do not ever regret my decision. This pram is beautiful to handle, has the smallest turning circle and has excellent suspension. The hand brake and adjustable handle are great. I also love the fact that the seat reclines three different levels and I can change it to face me or face… Read more
the world. I also had the bassinet to attach at the start and it was great.
It is beautifully finished off and is easy to fold one handed. Definitely a winner. I could change the seat to forward or read facing. Huge storage baskets! A little bit pricey
Fantastic "versatile" stroller! – Babyjogger really does make sturdy, well built prams, which is why I ended up selling my flimsy feeling bugaboo bee for the more solid versa. In addition, this stroller has all the wonderful babyjogger features in just one stroller. The reversible seat, one handed recline and huge canopy are fantastic, as well as the hand brake, large basket, and… Read more
super thin frame- this literally fits through any door or any isle at the shops. The seat seems very comfortable and large enough to accommodate an older toddler which means longer use. The adjustable foot rest and handle bar are a must too and believe me, the versa is a dream to push. I often have to hold my two year olds hand while pushing this stroller and it rolls along nicely and turns on a dime. The only complaint is that although the clever and easy fold is nice, the pram is very heavy (26 pounds/11.8 kg) and kinda awkward to take in and out of the boot. I would class it as more a full size than light weight stroller. I know it says you need to use bassinet from birth, but we have used it with toddler seat and our 6 week old daughter actually has always preferred the slight incline. Large basket, hand break, adjustable handle/footrest, reversible seat, large canopy (although non adjustable), folds with seat facing in or out), dream to push! Fold is kinda awkward (have hit my legs a few times), quiet heavy
Fantastic Pram!! – I've just upgraded to the BJ City Versa for my now 7 month old son. After using another pram for a while I now wanted something that addressed all the shortcomings I'd found but still had features I liked - so I needed a pram that would reverse face and recline whilst reversed, would accomodate a taller child as he grows, had a large useable… Read more
storage basket, could be used with a car capsule later for a second child and one that would fold easily/compactly with the seat attached. The City Versa does all of this and is absolutely perfect for us! The bub seems very comfortable in it and it's very light to push, super easy to use, fold etc. I really love the one handed fold you can do with the seat facing either direction, no more standing in the rain disassembling a pram onto dirty roads or pavement! Extra features such as the large canopy, really large under basket & the adjustable footrest are just bonuses to me. One handed fold with seat attached, huge storage basket, tall back-rest for taller toddlers, reverse faces & reclines, takes car capsules Accessories such as rain cover, footmuff, car seat adaptors etc are all extra which applies across the full BJ range. Needs a separate bassinet/car capsule to use for newborn.
Versatile... as the name suggests! – I have had my eye on this pram for some time. After owning a variety of other prams over the course of the past 5 years I was interested to see how it measured up. I bought it sight unseen after reviewing numerous you tube videos of it. I have to say that I absolutely love it and so does my 9 month old son. Baby jogger have incorporated all the… Read more
features that mums and bubs love into one pram. Where to begin! The one handed fold (although there are safety clips that need to be undone first); easy to switch the seat from rear facing to forward facing; huge basket that is easily accessible; adjustable handle; easy seat recline; hand brake; huge sun cover; two viewing windows with magnetic closures; all wheel suspension; the black frame; well padded seat; the harness. I could go on and on about it's great features. It is probably a little heavier than I expected, but well worth it as it feels incredibly sturdy; the tyres being rubber are not the best and are a little noisy (but to put GT tyres on would increase the weight to 13kg); I also find it rather awkward to handle once folded; the seat doesn't sit up completely straight (like a lot of prams). These are all things I can live with with given all it has to offer.
