Convenient, easy, overall great product – This has been as essential piece of baby care item that we couldn't live without. We tried it out when our first born was a week old and kept crying. My husband put him in the carrier and walked around the house. Our son quickly stopped crying and went to sleep quite peacefully. As our son got older, we took him out daily in the carrier as we took… Read more · 1
our dog on her daily stroll around the neghbourhood. It was much easier and convenient than putting him in the stroller, especially if you live in a hilly area. He loved being in the carrier as he can both see and hear what we adults experience, plus he is not at the same level as dirty car exhaust and cigarette smoke. It's also great at the airport and traveling, particularly when you don't have access to your stroller. Although made of breathable material, both baby and adult can get a bit hot and sweaty in summer, but it's still bearable. We carried our son until he got too long/tall for us to carry (he kept kicking us when got excited and wanted to be "released" so he could explore). The quality of the carrier means it will give us at least another year of stroller-free freedom with our second newborn. Reliable, breathable, lightweight, portable Expensive but will last a long time
Good quality – I bought this product after debating over several issues, mainly the pressure on my back as Ive used carriers before and my back is what suffers the most. I have to say I didnt use it a lot compared to what I thought I might and would have been better off buying something less expensive or perhaps a second had one, but when it comes to new… Read more
borns I prefer to buy brand new if I can.
The first time I used it was at the Babies, parents and toddlers show, and he was about 6 weeks old at the time.
We were walking around for a couple of hours when my back was really starting to ache, and I had to sit down to rest.
I would have loved to have put him in the pram but those shows are so crowded and was easier to have him in the carrier.
It took a bit of working out when I first used it and you really do need someone to show you how its put on and what straps do what or else you get very confused as the instructions or rather the lack of them lead a lot to be desired.
It was also hard to work out the setting for the back adjustments and know what was correct for my back and posture, but I went back to the shop I bought it from and got them to show me. very safe and secure, breathable fabric and good quality expensive, your back can still ache after a while even with a new born. Can be complicated to work out at first
Good – I did extensive research on this carrier and this seemed by far the best ergonomically designed baby carrier for both the parent and child. This was important to me as i have suffered shoulder problems in the past. I also feel that the breathable fabric is important in not overheating your baby especially living in Sydney's summer. Is made for… Read more
hot Australian climate. Has great back support and is comfy to wear. Is adjustable so both Mum and Dad can wear it. It looks good and is easily folded up for compact storage. Can be used with babies in a pavlik hip harness (with hip dysplasia) with baby facing the carrier only. Easy to use once you have read the instructions. Able to breast feed with carrier on (but baby must be out of carrier). I could even drive with this on (not with baby in of course) ready to pop baby in when parked. This is very expensive. I also found that in the phase of the baby facing the carrier, the neck support strap left a red mark on my babies cheek when she tried to turn her head to look out the sides.
Excellent baby carrier. Used it everyday! – Bought the more expensive baby bjorn carrier made from the more light weight breathable fabric. It has been a essential item whenever I go out with my son who is now 6 months old. Have used the carrier everyday since he was about 1 month old. Could not live without it! My son loves being in the carrier when we are out and about shopping or taking a walk around the neighborhood. Well made, comfortable, easy to use. An expensive item
Excellent – Best product I bought for baby. I originally bought a sling but my baby just didnt take to it - didnt like the cradle position. At fisrt I was opposed to the babybjorn design as I didnt like the upright posture for the baby and thought it would put too much pressure on babys crotch. Baby loved this straight away though. I used this almost everyday… Read more
for at least half the day for the first three months. I was able to do basic housework and even do a bit of work on the computer with her in it. Great for short errands and trips. Normally calmed baby down straight away and she woukd often just sleep in the sling. Really good when baby has wind. Friends and family can also use it as it is adjustable. Now that baby is older (6 months), I can only use it for shorter periods. I use it with baby facing outwards when I go for walks, errands or at home if baby wants to be held and I have work to do. Great product! Really comfortable. Can be used with very young babies. Very easy to put on, put baby in, and take baby out. Machine washable and made of breathable fabric, easy to fold down to travel. One size fits many and easy to adjust while on. Snug and secure for baby which allowed me to to do basic housework. Great for walks and quick trips. Able to adjust size as baby gets bigger. Upright position is great for reflux and wind. Puts baby to sleep. Older baby is secure and can look around when facing outward. Even though the fabric is supposed to light and breathable, sometimes baby and I got very, very hot wearing this in Brisbane in summer. However, this probably has more to do with prolonged close body contact than the actual carrier design. Sometimes left bad marks around crotch area after long periods of use (2hrs+). When baby got to around 7-8 kilos I became uncomfortable if worn for longer periods.
Excellent – This carrier has truly been the best thing I have bought for my bub. It means I dont have to worry about taking his entire pram with me if we go somewhere. We did the supermarket shopping together yesterday (he slept the whole hour) and it was a breeze. The added back support works a treat, as I have had lower back problems in the past, and I… Read more
really feel very supported while wearing it. A must must must have if you want to feel free and mobile whilst carrying your baby. This carrier is absolutely fantastic. The design is really clever and comfortable, can be adjusted to fit anyone and feels super light and breathable. My 5 week old baby falls asleep as soon as I start walking with him in it. A little expensive, but honestly - its worth it! You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and making of this carrier.
Time saver, easy to use. A must buy – I bought this after my third child was born, as I needed a carrier that was quick and easy to use. After attempting to use the hug a bub carrier for my first two children (which I found so difficult to put on, and took forever), I needed something more practical. While it was expensive, it was money well spent. It took no time at all to put baby… Read more
in, and must be extremely comfortable as my baby would sleep in it for hours. Now he is facing forward and loves taking in every moment of the world! Now that he is a bit bigger it does put some strain on my back if used for long periods, but is amazing if used for shopping or going to the park for example. Easy, quick to use. Great if in a hurry. Expensive, back stain when baby is bigger if used for extended periods
Not good for long term baby wearing – The Baby Bjorns are good for wearing baby for a short time and when they are small. As baby gets bigger they put a lot of weight on the shoulder area. i also find baby sits too low to my centre of gravity as I am quite short (157cm). I am a baby wearer so carry my son for several hours a day. A Mei Tai gives a more personal fit for such… Read more
situations. Also, my son doesn't like that I his legs hit my thighs as I walk. I've also read that small babies should not have their legs dangling as it's bad for their hips. Comfortable with a small baby and for short periods Hurts neck and shoulders when worn for long periods. Very expensive. Cool to wear on a hot day.
OK – I really want to love this carrier but find it always makes my shoulders ache no matter which way I adjust it. That said, I still use it for the quick trips to the shops so I can have my hands free. When bub was tiny, it was great for settling her when she wouldn't sleep. I wish it was easier to adjust to your preferred position. Great for baby to… Read more
look around and interact with others when you are out and about. This was great when bub was tiny for getting those naps in when she just wouldn't settle in her cot. It also let me do things around the house while bub was sleeping close to me. Great for use when shopping as you have both hands free. Baby loves looking around now she is facing forward. You have to be careful that the front flap doesn't fold up, covering bubs face. Pulls on my shoulders - I just can't make it more comfortable so I can only wear it for about 1 hour at a time. It's a pain to have to take it off and on to adjust the back setting. We have had to mark ours to show hubby's setting and mine.
Great for a small baby! – We have been using the Baby Bjorn since our baby was 3 weeks old and it certainly is a convenient way of getting around without a pram when you're out and about. She falls asleep in in pretty much immediately and will stay asleep. It can still be pretty warm with her in it and often when we've peeled her out of it, both her and I are sweaty… Read more
where she was against me, but nothing too uncomfortable for her.
She is already getting to be too big for this though, as the weight is distributed over my shoulders and so after an hour or two it does start to hurt my back. So it is fine for short bursts but will get to be even more of a problem when she is bigger, so we are switching to the ErgoBaby carrier soon as that has waist support and therefore is much better for my back to carry her. Put baby to sleep easily, easy to use and transport baby in Can cause back pain, is still quite hot for both baby and parent to wear
Good – I would thoroughly recommend this over other baby carriers and Baby Bjorn versions, however, it would be great if you could mark the adjustable panels so it is easier to adjust to each person who uses it (once you've marked it once, you can quickly adjust it without having to put it on and adjust it). -It is made from really nice breathable… Read more
material
-great back support (if it is adjusted properly for the person wearing it)
- Both mummy & daddy can use it as it can be easily adjusted for different people to wear it - when baby is facing inwards the side straps can rub against baby's face and leave some red marks.
- when baby is facing outwards need to keep checking to make sure that the flap is down (I looked down on my baby the other day and the fabric flap had flipped back up and was in front of his face)
- remembering wear to place adjustable straps for each person wearing it (different setting for mummy & daddy) you could possibly mark it somehow so its quicker to adjust without having to put on to adjust?
The best purchase I have ever made!!!! – Just having a baby I have seriously wasted some serious dosh but this baby bjorn is awesome. I tell you I would have paid $1000 for it as it has been a life saver. My baby has silent reflux and likes to be held upright alot, without this bjorn she would have been a suffering. I can still get things done around the house and her 3 hour crying a… Read more
day has reduced to literally maybe a half hour if that. I like everything about it. Its not expensive, feels good on, is very strong and very comfortable for baby and myself. Nothing - it's perfect
Not so perfect but not so bad either – This carrier is good for us now that my baby is old enough to face outwards. When he was smaller I had trouble adjusting it so he could sit high enough on my chest. He always get quite upset when he could smell my breast milk but wasn't able to feed so I often ended up just using the pram. In saying that my husband enjoyed using it at this stage. … Read more
The bibs are great to use with the carrier as they are really easy to take off and wash.
I am not convinced the back support is helpful. To take any of the weight off my shoulders I have to tighten the back so much that I can hardly breathe. If I were to buy another carrier I would get another brand or the one without the lumbar support. It isn't worth the extra money. Baby carriers are really convenient to use in situations where prams would be difficult. The fabric is nice and breathable and hard wearing. Back support wasn't helpful and difficult to adjust to accommodate newborn for me.

Good – I was very happy with this product and would recommend it. I would not have liked the original as it would of been too hot as you use it for so long you would be in hot weather at some point. We used ours in the snow lots too and just snuggled her in in a blanket tucked around the sides. Love the fabric- cool even for my husband. Our baby loved… Read more
this and I used it everyday. Fantastic for travel especially through airports and she loves the feedback she gets from everyone smiling and talking to her. Great if you don't want to get out the pram, want the bub to stop crying or need to be hands free. It still hurts your shoulders and back!
OK – This is a lot more comfortable than the carrier that we had for our first two children. The pouch cover is an expensive add on but worth the money if you live in a cold climate. Our baby was very premature but seemed to be comfortable in the sling despite her small slize. Now that she is older she enjoys the forward-facing position. It must be… Read more
very comfortable because my baby sleeps in it all the time. The optional extra cover is a great idea as it keeps baby very warm in cold weather. It is very expensive. It can't really be adjusted whilst "wearing" the baby. It would be easy for baby to fall out when being put in or taken out if not held properly.
Excellent – Overall this product is great. It is so convienient to use. It makes shopping and other outings relatively easy, with no need to get out the bulky pram, and allowing me to be hands free to push a trolly in the supermarket. My baby really likes being carried facing forwards. The lumbar support is great. Although after using it for a long time, you… Read more
can feel a bit of a shoulder and backache, but the weight is definitely distributed better with this product than other ones I have tried.
The material is quite good, and so far I haven't felt overly sweaty using this product (although I have mainly used it in winter months so far). Relatively comfortable.
Lumbar support is great.
Bub seems to enjoy it - when he's wide awake we carry him facing forward - he loves being able to look at things; when he's sleepy we carry him facing us - he can rest his head on my chest and fall asleep.
Size adjustable - both myself and my husband (and anyone else) can use it, despite our different sizes.
Quick and easy to put on, once you're used to it. Expensive.
Can't be used until bub is 3.5kg (my prem baby was 7 weeks old before he reached this weight)
Excellent – After having a Bubba moe sling, a Tomy Freestyle and an ASA breastfeeding sling and not being happy with any of them I splashed out and bought this after trying it on in the shop. So happy finally that there is something that is suitable for my short slim stature - most products seem to be designed for bigger people. And most seem to be in dark… Read more
heavily padded fabrics while this is white and cool - much better for Australian conditions. Easy for wearer to put on and to put bubs in and out. Great support for back. cool, breathable material. Bubs really likes it, both facing in when he's asleep and facing out when awake. Comfortable wide padded straps. Overall well designed; very stable and secure. Expensive
Excellent – My son loves it when me or my husband carry him in it. He finds it easy to have a snooze when he feels like and even although he is now nearly 8 kgs I cn carry him for a couple of hours. Can be used by all different sizes of people and baby can face the world or me!
Good – From newborn my baby girl has loved this carrier. I take it shopping, walking, even around the house when my baby wants to be close, but I need two free hands! It is quite comfortable to wear, and I feel my baby is quite secure in it. The head support is excellent. I think it was worth the extra money for the back support since I use it so much.… Read more
Very comfy for my baby - she loves it! Has back support for extra comfort for wearer. Very hard wearing. Feels very strong, don't feel as if it is unsafe for my baby. Baby can face me or outwards. Shoulders ache a bit after wearing it for an hour or more, but I think this is to be expected with any baby carrier. Also is quite expensive in comparison to others on the market.
Good – I bought this for my husband for his first Father's Day. Like our baby, he is a natural hot-bod and found the traditional BabyBjorn (which we had loaned) too hot to wear - even in Melbourne's winter. The better back support means that I can use it for short periods whereas with the traditional version, I got a sore back within minutes of wearing… Read more
it. Baby glows with delight when in it (started using at 5 mths) - facing outwears only (cracks it if put inward facing). I'm glad we bought it. This version of the BabyBjorn has open weave, breathable fabric making it a more comfortable option for hot weather or those who naturally have a 'hot' body thermostat. It has extra lower back support which makes it a better choice for ergonomic reasons. You can carry a child up to 12 kg in this model (by then they will probably be walking). This product is sturdy and well made - it should last you several children and its resell value is excellent. Expensive (over $200 - shop around for the best price). The straps are very long and hang down low (when worn by a skinny person i.e lady size 8-10) - more annoying than anything as it looks pretty daggy.
Excellent – I bought this product because it holds up to 12 kilograms, its light and washable. Shopping with my newborn is a breeze as i don't have to use shopping trolleys with baby seats, especially when i know my baby will probably cry and i will end up carrying him, leaving only one arm free. Synergy is definitely worth the extra money, its cool for me and cool for baby, it feels really secure and bubs can face both forward and backward.
Excellent – This is a fabulous product and we would have been lost without it. We go walking, shopping, do house work and take naps in it, just brilliant. And if you have ever had a sick baby who just wants to be nursed all day, it is a life saver, you still have 2 hands to get on a do other things. I would recommend the black one as white is not a practical… Read more
colour for a baby, but the carrier part is machine washable which is handy. This is an extremely comfortable carrier, the breathable fabric and lumbar support made carrying our daughter a breeze for my husband and I. It is simple to adjust for different people and easy to get baby in and out of. Our daughter loved it from the moment she was put in it, she is now 15 months and 10 kgs and still loves being in it.
Excellent – This was worth every penny with a baby that wouldn't ride in a pram! I used it EVERY day and it totally saved my sanity. The back support made it very comfortable. No major drawbacks! The back support makes this carrier so comfortable! My baby hated riding in a pram so this got used a lot - I'd go for long walks and baby would nod off nicely. The… Read more
way the carrier clips at the front makes it really easy to put on and take off. It is possible to take a soundly sleeping baby out without waking if you do it carefully. Although the straps are easy to adjust they don't tuck away neatly so it looks pretty average style wise.
Good – Overall I am glad that we got this one, the lighter fabric and extra back support does make a difference. Will use it again for when out and about when walking or shopping. Will also get another sling for when at home and trying to get things done as I didn't feel it supported a newborn completely when moving around too much. It is more… Read more
expensive over others but for what you get I think it is worth it. The extra back support was helpful, great for when just walking around shops etc. It was cool to wear and I live in a very hot climate. Got the white one which I thought would get dirty quickly but it didn't. Great to use when going on planes. Not too big to pack when travelling. When my daughter was a newborn would sleep in it everytime I had her in it. She also had a bit of reflux and being upright would help her with that. When my baby got heavier about 8 kilos I couldn't wear it for too long but was still good for short amounts of time. When my baby was a newborn didn't feel completely secure when bending over or putting my arms up high. Made getting things done around the house a bit difficult.
