It looks nice but falls short on function. The handle is too short, the size of the bean section doesn’t align with the enormous glass catchment. It takes forever to grind anything, I gave up and reverted to my old one which despite ah int a broken handle, was still faster.

Rubbish – This is a terrible product that is not worth spending your money on. It looks like a good product and packs away neatly but that is where the goodness stops. The handle is too short and shifts out of alignment. The main reason you buy a coffee grinder is to grind coffee, alas this one fails dismally at this task. It is so slow to grind that you… Read more

would have to grind for about 15mins before you can make one coffee. Maybe it could be marketed as an exercise device as you are so tired by the end of grinding you are unable to make your coffee. You are also unable to make the coffee because the grind is so coarse you will be unable to extract anything from your coffee. Yes you can adjust the grind, alas this too is a gimmick that will attempt to fool you into believing this is the product for you. In a nutshell/coffee bean - Don't buy it...

Works fine, but not sure if it is worth its price – This is a CERAMIC CONICAL BURR grinder. I take it appart to clean it. Perhaps if other reviewers did so too, they would have less problems. Contains non-stepped adjustment wheel. Show details

Failed after short period of use – Don't buy, not worth the purchase. Started off ok but soon failed. The winding mechanism failed, appears to be plastic gearing which sounds like it it is being stripped when winding so it does not do it its job, poor design. Purchased from House, Narellan. Unfortunately don't have the original purchase docket Show details

Threw out after one use – Has the mechanics of a salt grinder, takes 5 minutes of pure arm winding to get a single basket of coffee full. Literally may as well use a salt grinder. Show details

Flimsy grinder. Dead after two weeks use – I bought this manual coffee grinder from Robyn's Kitchen assuming it will be a good quality. After using it about three times the top cover where you load the beans does not open easily after the grinding. After two weeks of use once daily for a one person the whole mechanism which transfer the turning action of the hand lever to the grinder… Read more

started slipping making it useless as it stops grinding even you are turning the handle. It seems to have a reduction gear to increase the torque and maybe it is made of plastic gear which deteriorate after few times of use.

So basically a hand coffee grinder which cost $50 retail is so flimsy it would not last more than few weeks. Hard to use as the cover seize each time I grind and eventually you can not open it.

I went back to Robyn's Kitchen Store and the shop assistant could not open it. So they gave me another new replacement. I feel I will go through the same experience as the cover start seizing. I will report back if the new replacement develop similar problems.

Update. The new replacement machine stopped working after grinding 2 cups only. Not worth the effort I will be requesting a refund
