Mazza's bean great – This thing is amazing. I'm not a big enough coffee snob to understand why this machine made a night and day difference to my drinks, but it has. Only 100 cups in. I think I'm going through the beans a little faster. This machine was recommended to me by the type of office folk that bring their own beans and hand grinders in to work. Now I'm suggesting you consider doing the same. Show details

Excellent for home or light commercial use – I have two. They happily sit next to each other in my kitchen and look great. One is for regular coffee and one for decaf. I’ve had them both for a couple of years. If you look at all the videos out there, much is made of the apparent difficulty in adjusting the grind of the mini. In practice I’ve never had an issue, even for very fine… Read more

adjustments. The threads inside the machine are greased and run smoothly. My suggestion is to ignore all the ‘experts’. Programming the dose for single and double is very easy and is done with the touch of a finger. It’s very intuitive and quick. Removing the burrs for a clean is a snap and is tool free. Again, the experts out there say that you lose your grind setting when you take out the burrs but a little care and observation lets you put them back very accurately. Noise is not an issue, it makes a similar amount of noise as a larger commercial grinder. Retention is minimal and not an issue. Just follow standard good grinder practice. The grinders also really look the part. Mine are a beautiful satin black and look beautiful next to the chrome of my rocket. When it all boils down, with grinders, there’s Mazzer and then there’s the rest. For me Mazzer is the best. (rhyme intended ).

Built like a tank – I have owned a Mazzer Mini for 6 years for home use. There's a reason many/most cafes choose Mazzer grinders. It's the type of machine that if looked after will last a lifetime. Parts are also readily available, not that I have ever required them (apart from a set of replacement burrs every few years). It looks great on the kitchen bench too. … Read more

I have the doser (click/click lever arrangement) model and my only slight critism would be some grind retention but that's nit picking. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a good used example either if the cost of a new unit is prohibitive. Admittedly it is a luxury having expensive appliances like this however I do not mind spending the money if it does a good job and lasts a lifetime.

mazzer are so great that you should do it immediately. I previously bought an excellent grinder and thought it couldn't be bettered, then I got that mazzer. This machine is perfect for home use. I understand if you are churning through more than 4kg of coffee per day then you need a bigger diameter blade, but not even I go through that so don't concern yourself with the blade diameter, just know that it is enough for a rock solid 5 hits a day if necessary.

I have an excellent coffee machine - ECM Technika IV - and this grinder is up to the task of producing the required grind quality for my coffee machine. If you have a good coffee machine don't get the point and shoot grinder that comes with the 2 boiler machine, get the mazzer. You will wonder why you didn't buy it earlier.
