We love the van - Bailey customer care is shocking – We bought this van due to its lightweight and great layout. We tow with a Prado so its a great choice, low weight van. The Astro tows well and is easy to manage with great payload facility. The after care from Bailey has been non existent - we have raised several complaints with issues that have occurred with the van - there has been NO response at all. Specific issues are:- Fridge has no baffles, aircon unit did not work- this was due to it being incorrectly wired. The awning does not have a winder. These may sound like small things but at 63,500 we expected a quality product and responsive after care.

Purchased in for $63,500.

  Verified Cosmo

A lightweight, well designed and built on-road caravan with some minor issues – We purchased this van because of its light weight and build quality control and automation. We wanted an on-road van which could be easily pulled by our Toyota Prado and contained separate spaces for the toilet, the basin and the shower. The separate beds give us plenty of space to sleep comfortably and we were able to select mattresses with different levels of firmness to suit our individual needs. We upgraded the tow hitch and the air conditioner and changed to a coil spring chassis. The double axle Cosmo tows very well behind our Prado and we are are a lot happier with the ride of this 20' van than our previous single axle 18' "off road" van.

We have not given the van 5 stars firstly because we were not impressed with the deceptive tunnel boot configuration. When you open the boot doors (which we did after purchase), you find that the boot space height is only 2/3rds of the height of the doors. We were also not impressed with the manner in which roll out awning is attached to the van walls. In contrast to the rest of the van, the awning brackets appear to be an afterthought and are not properly integrated into the general design of the van.

May 2017 Update - We are still happy with our Cosmo. The stabiliser legs are quite short but this is an on-road van. We use large wooden blocks if setting up on a significant slope. We have spent 2 weeks away in the van with no problems. Bailey do not seem to be able to improve on the awning brackets so we will just have to live with them.

We took delivery of the Cosmo just before Christmas 2016. We have been away for a few days in the van and found the interior very comfortable notwithstanding an outside temperature of 38c. We will be in a better position to assess this van after we have spent a few weeks in it later in 2017 but at present we are happy with our choice.
