This card is perfect for me

Card worked over seas no problems, reward system is great, and they offer lots of goodies or cash, too easy to acrew points and claiming them is a phone call away. Great security and great bank it keeps my
accounting in order highly recommend, and the small annual fee is worth it. The boq at q centre is qld is the place to get yourself one. M king

Great card but rules have changed over time.

My wife and I have used these cards regularly in Australia and overseas. The best thing about them is the monitoring Citibank (which issues the BOQ card) does on purchases. On several occasions we have been called by Citibank, while still at the counter, to confirm that we are making an unusual or large purchase. And they have stopped illicit overseas charges on several occasions too. We get 2 points for every dollar and can convert these to cash off our credit card quite easily. Interest rates don't affect us as we pay our card off monthly, although in the current economic clime I think ALL credit card rates are obscenely high and should be regulated back to a reasonable premium over standard lending rates. My biggest disappointment is that when we originally took out these cards I was promised that they would always be fee free, but now, of course, in the mists of time and with new management, that promise has, conveniently, long been forgotten.

Questions & Answers

I am considering purchasing a holiday package to Thailand which includes the airfares. Will the purchase of the airfares within the package affect the Travel Insurance in any way. Will I still get free Travel Insurance? I have a Platinum Visa Card with B of Q. Thanks, Ross Plowman
