Appalling customer service
need to contact human about purchase on card.
Well, that's a joke, middle of the day and on hold for over an hour so far and counting.
Glad I switched my home loan from these clowns

Such a great card all round
Had 3 months now. Application process easy, quick, staff helpful, friendly, easy to deal with.
Originally applied for basic zero card but changed my mind and they sent me a form to sign and changed my application to the zero platinum immediately. Super easy! Received card about 7 working days after approval.
Also got the halo payment ring which works surprisingly well too.
Great online banking, hassle free & easy. Will use for future travel also when the world opens up again. Have used for online overseas purchases and daily spend.

Read moreng that would make it amazing would be some rewards or QF points. That makes me use it less for daily purchases, as I'll switch to my amex to get some points. But with zero fee I guess can't have everything. Overall a solid card. Have been with Bankwest for a year now for savings etc and they continually do a good job.- 2 reviews

The best credit card out there for non-AUD spending, everyone should have one.
This card is extraordinarily good value for specific types of spending and average for everything else.
VERY GOOD
- This card is ideal for making any transaction at all in non-AUD currencies. I don't think any other card can beat this one for overseas spending
- there are no foreign transaction fees (obviously)
- there are no foreign merchant fees. This one will catch a lot of people out because even if you're charged in AUD, if the merchant is not located in Australia, other banks will still charge you a foreign transaction fee. Not this car...
Useless Travel Insurance
The Travel Insurance has been changed from Allianze to Covermore and the changes are such an that the insurance cover is almost useless. It does not cover epidemics so that even though we bought the plane tickets 6mths ago we find that are not covered for Coronavirus and finding that out now make it impossible to get cover for Coronavirus. Also it now does not cover rental car CWA and now only covers the first 30 days. I would drop this card like a hot potato and look to other cards.

incorrect information
The foreign transaction fees are not 0% they are 2.95% of the transaction amount when you go to the official website and have now cancelled my application for this credit card, smacks of dishonesty to me.

Perfect card for travelling
I have had this card for over 3 years. I have been using this card for overseas traveling in APAC, Europe and NA, the obvious advantage is that you can check transactions from mobile app instantly. And the conversation rate is quite good as well.

The best no annual fee card for travel
This card is great as it has no annual fees, no conversion fees and a great mobile banking system for convenient access during travel or everyday purchases. It also includes free insurance which is not the best, but great for a free card. It would be comparable to 28 Degrees, but is much better than anything else.

No foreign transaction fees
Having an annual fee is a pain but we make a lot of overseas purchases so the zero foreign transaction fees make the card worthwhile. Good customer service over the phone also.

works for us
We have a $7500 limit - we keep it low to keep our spend in check. We have had this card for around 15 years (the product has changed a few times over these years). The rewards are pretty good and we don't pay interest because we are vigilant about paying it off to zero every month. I know there is a fee (around $59 a year I think) which I think is a sting due to the fact that bankwest reams us for interest of our mortgages! Overall, we rate bankwest above other banks (we have tried quote a few!) and have generally found their customer service to be excellent. If they brought back the days of giving us our own personal banker boy that would be awesome.

Perfect for overseas transactions.
Had this card for years.
Highly recommended for overseas purchases / online shopping, as no foreign fees apply.
Card was skimmed once, and Bankwest promptly assisted in cancellation of the card, and reissuing a replacement.

Perfect travel credit card
There is no foreign transaction fee if you use the credit card overseas or purchase an overseas product with a foreign currency. Not only that, the card offers very good exchange rate. The exchange is usually better than the rate obtained from Google currency exchange rate.

Best card for travellers
I usually abandon a credit card after a year (when a better deal comes up), but this card could be a game changer. Ticks all the boxes for overseas travellers - free travel insurance, no overseas transaction fees, low annual fee. The customer online services are smooth - convenient message feature and online chat. Contacting BankWest by phone is also easy, no long periods on hold and friendly efficient operators.

Perfect for overseas purchases
Brilliant. I've never had any issues with it. It works every time and never has any exchange fees. I also get free travel insurance when I use it to book >$500 worth of travel items (although I've never had to utilise it). The only bad thing bad thing is having to wait a few days until the purchases are authorised, during which the price can change, but it's not usually too different, depending on the exchange rate of the day.

Simple credit card for overseas transactions
It is a simple card without annual fee and reward / big signup bonus. I have this credit card for a couple of years as a backup credit card. Only reason I have it is for overseas transactions where I do not an alternative option. Purchases in overseas has been great without any issues (especially where my other cards were rejected). Any overseas transactions will be displayed in almost real time through their online banking account or banking app with the original amount in foreign currency and the converted Australia dollars amount - which is ...
Read morevery transparent. The card also has basic complementary overseas travel insurance. It is a very good feature for a credit card without annual fee. But I will not recommend to use it for that purpose if you have an option to cover it with other higher class credit cards that normally come with an annual fee. If you look at the terms of the travel insurance, it unsurprisingly covers less than other higher class credit cards.Perfect card for travellers

Questions & Answers
Is this card better than GE Money 28 Degree Mastercard which also offers Zero international transaction fee and Mastercard exchange rates?
My intension to get this credit card is only for online purchases(USD/GBP) and overseas travel.
Bankwest customer service/call centre is in Australia, and are easier to deal with than 28 degrees call centre in India. Travel insurance is complimentary too, unlike the 28 degrees card where you have to pay extra for this benefit.
