IS BARCLAYS BANK ACTING FRAUDUENTLY !?!? – My elderly mother has had pension funds going into a UK Barclays Bank account for many years. She has been trying to withdraw the funds (equivalent to around $16,000!) for over 1 year. Barclays has evaded her efforts to hand over the funds by continually asking her to write letters, fill out forms, call back, provide identification, provide even more identification, provide signature samples, provide her passport, provide it all again, provide it all again and again. The letters and correspondence are a huge pile. They are purposely wasting time and we absolutely think after 12 months (it's longer than that) they are purposely evading her efforts and do not have any intention of releasing her funds. She gets letters from Jersey, the UK, Czech Republic, France, the list goes on. All the letters keep asking for more information or directing her elsewhere. Sincerely - this bank is not to be trusted. I highly encourage anyone to avoid using this bank for any reason, it's just not worth it. They are there with their hand out to take your money but when you want to withdraw it - poof - gone - sorry no one around to help with that. I will keep you posted with any and all updates. SHAME ON YOU BARCLAYS.
