Barista Mate Hot & Cold Milk Frother

Great frother but in my case too short a life span – I bought this item mid May 2023. It worked really well. It heated milk reasonably quickly without burning the milk at the bottom. You can do 250ml of frothy milk or 500ml of no froth milk which is generous. The froth settings were great too. Thick froth was very thick. Light froth was perfect for me. Then the option of heat only no froth was great for flat whites. Some people have issues with the On Button. It is strange as it is a sensor button, but easy to get used to. Touch finger on button until it beaps; take finger off then rapid touch the button to move through the settings. At the right setting remove finger and after 2 seconds it will start working at that setting. Quite clever really. The only issue I had at purchase was realising that it does not have a removable power base. It was stated in the description that it doesn't, but I must have overlooked it. Having to pull out the plug each time and be careful about how I washed it was not ideal, but the quality of the frothy milk, and the silence of operation, made it worth it. Until today - when the heating stopped working. Instead of reaching 60 degrees, it took two goes just to get to 30. So sadly I'm returning it after only 3 months of once per day use. Quite disappointing.
