Express Delivery $200 to Kempsey – I have been trying to reach Barnett's since 20 December via phone, mobile and email. I have a firepit coming for Christmas and they are uncontacable with no message stating if they have closed down over the Xmas period and for how long (what courier closes down over the xmas period, if I had known I would have went with another co]. Able to talk to a human, and cheap & efficient!! – Needed valuable but small lost property item picked up from a police station and returned. Messaged round some of the big couriers and was quoted hundreds. Barnetts has an actual PHONE NUMBER and the service was perfect!! Show details

Rude, unfriendly, uncompromising and inefficient!!1 – Did not deliver to correct warehouse, got aggressive when asked to bring it down our driveway, almost hit our vehicle, and just poor service. his truck in the past, and then dragged the stock from the position at the wrong warehouse, to meet our walkie stacker half down the driveway. Explained the walkie stacker loses traction on the driveway of warehouse, but wanted to argue the point, saying other companies have the same stacker..... Contacted customer service to ask if the positional requests could be followed to avoid frustration and injury and got argumentative unsupportive rhetoric again. Not a good company to deal with.

Great service! – I used Barnetts for the first time a month ago when my usual carrier was unable to collect my freight. I called and was on hold for about 30 seconds before speaking to staff to book. As a first time user I had to fill in some Paperwork (took about 2 minutes) and pay by card over the phone. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Goods were delivered when and as expected. Extremely Poor Service, Poor Communication and Rude Staff – Did not inform me of package delivery until 10 minutes before - I work 20 minutes away from home. Driver had to unload a 120kg package without mechanical assistance but expected me to assist with unload. Because I did not get back before him, he unpacked all items worth $2000 and left it unsecured on my front lawn with all the packaging strewn all over my front yard. Delivery – Had some personal items sent from uk after my parents died, they arrived in oz at quarantine in perfect condition but when they arrived from sydney to forster, crystal glasses and plates were broken. It was obvious the box had been dropped. Their insurance only covers damave to the external. If the packaging is not damaged they will not cover damage to whats on the inside. Poor communication, rude staff – We understand that delays happen, however it is crucial that information is passed on, and clients awaiting deliveries are reliably informed. It is especially frustrating to be met with patronising, generic, non specific responses by quite rude staff when legitimate inquiries are being made. with Barnetts as a receiver, and I urge all my suppliers to go elsewhere whenever given the opportunity.

Poor service – Paid $400 for delivery had to assist off load product when informed I would not need to be home. I had to get my car reload items and drive them up to the house as driver not happy to bring vehicle nearer although there was heaps of room. Company not happy to respond to me as the customer is the company that employed them to deliver the items. So basically poor customer service.  Show details

provided me with a quotation for the job and kept me updated with the where everything was at.

The consignment was delivered in Canberra the following day. The driver, Joshua, was very friendly and assisted me with unloading the 21 boxes into my garage.

All in all the quote was very reasonable and the service faultless, especially considering the late notice of the task!

receiving a call 30 minutes before arriving. Had a problem at the other end with the company saying they didn't receive it, but called Barnetts and had a scanned copy of the delivery docket with a signature and time sent to me by email in a few minutes. Would use them again. Thanks Barnetts.

Bad company when it comes to sending from newcastle to Melbourne – Good services coming from South to North but sending the other way around won't use them again paid for to the door drop and on arrival rang the receiver told them they had to pick it up from there depot or it would be left there until someone came for it , when I spoke to them at there office was hung up on, I done recommended them at all

Poorly handled – Completely ignored all Top Load Only signs and stacked underneath other pallets, destroying everything being couriered and now at a loss of hundreds of dollars and was told "to bad". Was not even offered an apology or a cent of compensation. Definitely will not be using them again! Not happy.

Good – They are a great company to use for large items for companies and that is where their competitive prices kick in. I'd recommend them for businesses or people who need to move weight. Very lovely and happy when ever I speak to them. They always have reasonable costs and very reliable service. The paperwork they require is straight forward. They can sometimes be a little late when they say they will be there at a time

You get what you pay for in this world, and while many couriers seem to have upset some customers judging by the reviews on here, Barnetts could (and probably have done) show a thing or two to the BIG boys in transport. Simple fast, human book-in proceedure. On-time pick-up. Take care with shipments. Great website. Cannot fault any aspect of the operation.

prices, easy quote system just email or fax and they get back to you usually within 20 mins, and best of all they know where the freight is who has it and can even tell you what street the truck is in.

We have been using barnetts for two months and have not yet had a lost or damaged goods yet, and fast!!!!
