It worked but became crumbly – I had a huge rat problem around my home. I was dilidalling around for five years trying to control them with various humane products. Although I was catching several rats weekly new ones just took their place. I decided the only option left was to purchase poison rat baits. it’s not a nice option but the rats were doing damage to my possessions.… Read more
They chewed holes through my inflatable boat and ate the wires in my car.
I purchased a bucket of BASF 3.2kg Rodenticide Stratagem Wax Blocks from Bunnings a year ago. The baits work really good but they are not a wax block like what is stated on the packaging. They are a dry fibre type block that become brittle and crumbly when in a bait station. This is a problem for me as I have pets and the crumbs find their way out of the bait station. This can put my pets at risk. Another thing I dislike about these baits is the baits seldom have a mounting hole in the middle, I was forced to drill the hole out properly in order to secure them on the bait station mounting stake. I found this bothering. The fist bucket I purchased was $89 at Bunnings but now the price has been jacked up to $98. It would also be nice to know were this product is made, I looked over the whole bucket and could not find its country of origin. I want to know wether I am supporting a communist regime or a friendly country who treats their citizens well.
All in all the product works great but I wouldn’t recommend to those with pets or those who care about poisoning wildlife due to the baits becoming crumbly.
