we'd hear them every night until the weather warmed up. Initially I thought the device did not work as they came back after a month or so, and left after several days until the following year. Recently bought two more for a studio, also rural, and no mice droppings found since. You'd need one device per electrical circuit. Pestrol staff were also easy to deal with and helped sort out delivery issues quickly.

Best choice to protect wires in walls – I bought 3 of these - one very obviously didn't show the bottom, red light functioning, right from the first day. I have one in the shed - it's a very big shed, and, for the most part, I don't see much (if any) activity anymore, so I'm happy with that one. the wall where I've had problems - where the good unit is plugged in, I no longer have rodent issues. The wall with the dodgy unit has become a favorite. I swapped the unit from the shed with the dodgy unit and there was tonnes of activity present in the shed after that, and none in the house wall, so it confirmed that the dodgy one was broken - and that the unit works. I sent a message to Pestrol and, after confirming that the red light wasn't working with the switch set in the correct place (like the other two), I was told a new one has been sent out. I am very pleased with the performance of the device - it appears to affect a significant area specifically behind/along the wall it's plugged into, and I am extremely happy with the customer service. While they are not a cheap device - they are the only method I've found of keeping mice out of the walls. I guess if I had a roof cavity I (which I don't) I would consider having a sparky wire in a power point up there to plug one into, as I think the way sound travels has something to do with why some customers haven't had great results. I'm pretty sure they need to be plugged directly into a power socket and not an extension cord or power board.

Worth a try – I have been using the repellers for about 12 months now, initially bought 2 because that should’ve been enough for my small 3 bedroom house. Having contacted the help department I was underwhelmed by the rather rude staff member I was lumped with, just had stock standard responses and no real answers for why the two units weren’t enough. I had seen enough good reviews that I decided to persevere, and bought a third unit. Could hear mice and rats in the roof for another month on top of that again, but finally it seemed as though every mouse family in the neighbourhood decided it was an ordinary one to live in and I haven’t had any since. I definitely recommend them, but they’re expensive when you need lots of them. I would hate to try and fit out a big house.

Pestrol after hearing their ad on the radio so often. The salesman was great on the phone and worked out that 2 plug in units would be enough for our house (even though it's a 4 bed home), I was pleased he didn't try to push for 3 units. That made me feel they were pretty honest, not trying to get more sales. He also asked the layout of our house and advised to put a unit roughly at each end (one in our living room at the front, one in a back bedroom). The salesman did explain that it could take at least a month to get rid of cockroaches due to their breeding cycle. It didn't take long for them to arrive and they simply plug into a power point. There is nothing else you have to do. It did take approximately a month and finally we stopped seeing cocky's inside and outside the house. I never ever get one inside anymore. If there is ever one outside, it's usually come visiting from under the fence. Doesn't last long. And, we still have never seen any mice or rats. I'd like to also add that we do have furniture near the units, it just can't be helped in most situations. The unit does take up some space in the wall power point because it is wide, so if you have a double power point and need to use the other outlet, put a good quality double adapter in first, then the Pestrol Rodent Free unit. Problem solved. So, I highly recommend Pestrol Rodent Free electronic plug in units., and calling them up for advice first. I wish we had have done this in our last house.

I strongly recommend this product – Hi, I do not usually write reviews, but I think need a bit of correction regarding this product I purchased my Pestrol Rodent Free about 2 years ago (maybe 3) since then no mice no any other rodents whatsoever(before that we had problems with rodents a lot ) I bought the second a year ago as we moved to a bigger place and that is working fine also (with the first one together). Great product - highly recommend – I live on a rural property and rats were eating the wiring in my car. They were also decimating my vegetable gardens. Put 2 of these outside my house and within 2 weeks - no more rats! Vegetables are regrowing and car is safe from another repair bill for chewed wiring. Not the best – I brought one of these on ebay. Given it is more expensive than most of the other ultrasonic deterrents I thought that I would have a better chance of it doing its job. Its been in my shed for a few months now and unfortunately I have seen little results and going back to traditional peppmint oil and mouse traps. I will not recommend Pestrol Rodent Free to anyone. From their customer service (or lack of) to their products, don't waste your time or money. Don't trust the positive reviews.

The Rodent Free return – I purchased two of the Rodent Free pest controls They don’t work! Mice are running and eating at will. Tried changing locations, tried unplugging for 24 hours, they just don’t work. Time for a refund.

Awesome – I had a very strong smell in a bedroom of our holiday home and I tried everything to get rid of it. Nothing worked. I then noticed a bit of mice activity in the kitchen so I thought perhaps the smell could be mice in the ceiling space. I decided to try the Pestrol rodent free product. This product has worked for us – We purchased several "Rodent Free" plugs-ins a few years ago and they worked - no more rodents hanging around our house! "Rodent Free" and since increasing the number around the house, there has been no more noise from rodents.

Pestrol rodent electromagnetic devices great +++ – Within two days the scratching in my roof was all but gone. Excellent product – After spying mice coming in through my laundry door, I tried bait but didn't really work, then tried a cheap version of the pestrol plug in, that wasn't successful either.
